We decided at the last minute to book a relaxing trip to Aitutaki. Pacific Resort was the obvious choice to stay. We enjoyed the friendly staff, rooms were large and in good condition with excellent access to the beach. If you get a chance make sure you book a wonderful massage in the Tiare Spa too. Food was excellent too.

The resort is just beautiful and so calm and relaxing. Our bungalow 3 steps from the sand was so Devine. Amenities weee great and very luxurious in an understated way. The restaurant was such a welcoming atmosphere at the end of a day’s activities. Miss this beautiful place.

Goethe (and others) said one should see the southern Italian city of Naples "and die" because there was no place on Earth more beautiful. But Goethe never visited Aitutaki. It has been my good fortune to see Naples -- and a score of other beauty spots from St. Moritz to Milford Sound. But I am so grateful I lived long enough to visit Aitutaki and stay at the Pacific Resort. I can't compare it for you because the experience was truly incomparable. I can only suggest that you go there and see for yourself.

We were looking for a different kind of island experience - something less developed, more laid back, but still with beautiful beaches, water and welcoming people. The island of Aitutaki and the Pacific Resort delivered on all counts. The Pacific Resort was literally luxury in paradise, with most of the units being just steps from the beach. The staff could not have been friendlier, the food excellent and the overall vibe just what we were looking for. The beds were great and the doors slid open to give our room an open air feel, complete with an outdoor shower. There are also scooters (which everyone on the island drives!) and bikes on site. There are only 1900 people on the island, but everyone we met made us feel welcome...like they were literally grateful we were there. When we come back to the Cook Islands, we will bypass Roratonga and come directly back to the Pacific Resort and the wonderful people of Aitutaki.

The bougainvillea lined hedge entrance is stunning and the rest of the resort lives up to the entrance . The grounds are beautiful, flowers, hibiscus, everywhere, even orchids growing on trees. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely a 5 Star resort, but with a casual setting. We felt comfortable running around in T-shirts, swimwear, and flip flops all week - but also comfortable to dress up for dinner. Drinks at the beach/poolside bar were outstanding. Especially the "Wilke" ...tho I personally advise against more than 3!! The water on Aitutaki is surreal - 20 shades of turquoise. I have never seen water this color and we have been to Hawaii, Mexico, BVI, and Bora Bora!! The water and beaches are so uncrowded and pristine. You can rent a scooter right from the resort for only $50. We ran around the Island and had a blast. You could book anything (massage, fishing, boat tours) right at the front desk for reasonable prices. Tour operators pick you up and drop you back at the resort. Be sure to book a trip to one foot island - it hand down one of the most beautiful places on this planet!! Our Bungalow was beautiful, right on the beach, with our own loungers, an outdoor shower to rinse off, and walk out snorkeling. Someone said Aitutaki is what Hawaii was 100 years ago. The people of Aitutaki were so friendly, and not just at the resort, but everywhere we went. This was our 40th anniversary trip and it did not disappoint. I am ready to go back and I would definitely book the Pacific Resort again.

This was a vacation of a lifetime. I’ve been to many resorts in Hawaii but this was a whole new level of sacred beauty. The staff bent over backward to fulfill our every need. The restaurants are excellent. The grounds are so beautiful. What a gem this place is. I’ll be back!

Pacific Resort Aitutaki is a 5 Star property & perfect for an exclusive escape. We stayed 5 nights, but could have easily stayed 7. Our beach front room was magnificent, big & well appointed with 240deg lagoon views & a sunset I’ve never experienced. The resort was full, but you would never know it. The tropical gardens, including a wide variety of fruit trees and orchids further complement the property. On top of it all, the staff. From the moment we arrived we were made feel like family. Everyone from housekeeping, reception & restaurant staff were always there, but never obtrusive. This place lived up to everything I expected.

Superb resort, beautifully located on the sheltered side of Autitaki. We had a bure right on the beach, a few meters from the lovely water.. kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling gear all close at hand , as well as bikes which we used alot to cycle to different places on the island. Our room was spacious and clean, with a lovely big verandah. The whole resort was very quiet and rejuvenating. Super friendly staff, and the food was to die for. .. so fresh and tasty and absolutely 5 star. We had a couples massage which was devine and many cocktails which were equally devine. We went late October into November and experienced a few showers but they didn't last for long and the temperature was around 25 C every day. A 5 star experience in an idyllic setting.
