I had the privilege of staying here for two nights. Queen bed with a private courtyard. This place is stunning. I could not ask for anything more from an establishment. The staff are friendly and the service was very good. The chefs here know how to cook, the food was excellent!! All 3 courses were divine. The mini bar in the room has no charge. That's right, free snacks and drinks (no alcohol though) Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel they offered airport transfer arrangement and we spent just one evening while waiting for a domestic flight to the OSA area. The restaurant is quite fancy and outstanding we had Caprese Salad, prawn and sea bass with impeccable wine selection. Definitely would return.

We went to the restaurant with good friends and we had a great time at the restaurant. Our food was delicious, the service was excellent and we really enjoyed our experience there. The restaurant is very classic and elegant.

We only stayed here one night. I wish it could have been more. Our family room was so comfortable and the perfect size for our family of four. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was stunning. The photos online don’t even do it Justice. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Grano De Oro is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring central San Jose. The bedrooms were a good size, bright and airy. We only had room service from the restaurant as I had tired kids with me but it was very high quality food - probably the best I ate while in Costa Rica. Having the rooftop hot tubs was a lovely touch. It was great sitting up there overlooking San Jose in the evening.

The hotel Grano de Oro is really excellent. Throughout the hotel you will see it is very well appointed. The bar and restaurant is stunning and take you back in time. Our garden suite was on the ground floor (number 9). Whilst it was really beautiful there is a stairs that runs above it and it becomes very noisy in the morning. Staff all excellent. Recommended.

We were very pleased to return to Grana de Oro. The staff was welcoming, gracious and helpful. We especially remember Pablo who checked us in and gave advice about getting around San Jose. Our dinner in the restaurant was exceptional.

Had a wonderful short stay in an old favorite. Three generation family members loved their rooms. The restaurant took excellent care of us with a comfortable table, great food and drink all supported with outstanding professional and friendly service. We began staying at this property in the 90s and this is our first return since the extensive renovation. Miss the outdoor garden and tables where we could sip a coffee but under- stand the rationale for the new design. Highly recommended.

Grano De Oro is an absolutely beautiful hotel situated in central San Jose. It’s gorgeously decorated with old photos and has lots of little hidden courtyards with fountains and plants everywhere. It really does feel like something from a book. The staff were all friendly and efficient and the food at the restaurant was the best I’ve had in Costa Rica. The rooftop gym and jacuzzis are a wonderful addition. I will definitely always use this hotel as my base when I’m in San Jose.

Arrived at the hotel and blown away by its architecture . What a gem. And so well kept, not even a little dust, anywhere, there is none, everything is so clean. Rooms good size. Good comfortable bed. Love the historic photos all through this establishment. Lovely Jacuzzi to relax in if time permits. Staff accommodating and friendly. Hotel is in Good position. Recommended
