- I sent an email to the hotel the day before to check if they are able to send a shuttle to the airport to pick me up (just to avoid the stress of figuring out transportation), but they only replied once I landed. It wasn’t worth for me to wait for them to come and pick me up. - The room was loft style and very spacious: two stories with two full bathrooms, and kitchenette. I didn’t need them, but they were available. However, the shower upstairs next to the bedroom was missing a door, water was splashing out and making everywhere wet. Also, the shower didn’t drain well. It was gross to have my feet in dirty water… same with the sink, water wasn’t draining well. The hotel provided one hand towel and two large towels. They were old and rugged. I went out to buy my own. The bed was comfortable! So were the pillows & sheets! Thank you for that! - I’m training for a marathon and it was important to me that the hotel had a gym so that I can keep up with my training. This hotel had one treadmill and it wasn’t working. I guess next time I need to check before I book. - My room doesn’t have a window and hence very dark, gloomy, and depressing. Luckily I don’t have to spend too much time here. I told the receptionist and she said that that’s the room that was assigned to me. I let it go. - The hotel is in downtown and walking distance from all major “things to do” in San Jose city. But I have to say that the pictures online look a lot better than the reality of the hotel. - Would I stay here again? Only if I need to sleep somewhere for one night.…
Muchas Gracias
Buen hotel, pieza bastante grande y comoda, buen desayuno y personal amable.
perfect location, very helpful and extraordinary friendly reception. Spacy room but without window! terrible smell and almost no light in the bathroom, onlc cold water in the shower. I would not stay there again maybe, but I don't know if it's getting any better in San Jose....
We stayed for one night only (gladly!) because we were travelling to Tamarindo. The hotel feels quite sketchy, the rooms are poor and don’t have any windows. The breakfast was bad, the overall experience was poor and I would not recommend this place to anyone I like.
They fraudulently advertise themselves as a 4 star hotel but they have no windows in the rooms. To even be considered a 3 star hotel you must have windows in all the rooms. They did not disclose this when booking a room and were rude and unhelpful during check in when we told them we are not okay with rooms with no windows. We asked to speak to a manager and was told we could not get in contact with them until 2 days later!!! I would not recommend this place it also was not in a good area.
Could not say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is exceptional. They first gave me a handicap room so I asked to be moved. Javier went above and beyond and not only did he move me but he also upgraded me to a room with a living room and kitchen,,, THANK YOU!!!!! We asked Juan for some tour advice and he too went above and beyond. Not only did he give us some suggestions but he called and arranged for a private tour the next two days. Dennis and his staff made an amazing breakfast buffet every morning, he even made special dishes for me. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Cons. Our first room had no windows, I was not informed by Booking .com, and it never occurred to me to ask, very strange. Digital Nomad Concern: There is a router in the middle of the lobby of the floor so the Wifi was only good when I was next to the door of the room. The water in the shower would go from hot to cold on its own.…
