Our trip to Costa Rica was excellent! We went with our 3 children ages 6, 9 and 10 and stayed at Tulemar in one of their Casas (rented the house for a week). Casa Palmas Del Mar was an amazing home connected to the rest of the Tulemar property by a road and walking trails. It was a large home on 4 levels to maximize views of the ocean. The home had its own private swim pool which we used daily! The beds were all comfortable and the home was kept very clean with daily housekeeping. As a plus, there was an on-site maintenance man who kept the property in top shape. One issue with the home was the multiple stairways - the side guardrails were wide enough for a person to fall through. With 3 small kids - this is a consideration. When we raised our concerns the Tulemar staff promptly put up a mesh net, wrapping the staircase to prevent accidents. Orlando (our concierge at Tulemar) was great - managing all of our needs from groceries to activities to dinner reservations. He also organized efficient transport to and from San Jose. The Tulemar restaurant had fresh food and despite many local options we chose to eat there several times due to the variety and quality of the food (and the amazing ocean view). We had a beautiful stay at Tulemar! I went with my mom and sister. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. It was very safe and clean. And this is coming from someone who only grew up going to Ritz-Carltons. The property was gorgeous - it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle - I think that’s because we were. Given that we were in the middle of the jungle, I thought it would be really loud with lots of animals/birds, but it was very quiet! I was able to sleep very peacefully. Also, there weren’t any mosquitos! That was my biggest concern prior to going. I took deet just in case, but I didn’t even use it while there. We went during the dry season, so I am not sure if that made a difference. Our concierge, Miguel, was great. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He even pointed out a sloth on the way to our room. When we arrived to our room, there were little squirrel monkeys on our balcony to greet us! During our stay, we actually saw three different types of monkeys (capuchin, squirrel, and howler) right on the property. I also saw toucans and scarlet macaws as well! It was great! We saw more wildlife at Tulemar than we did in the national park. It was very beautiful. The staff was awesome! I actually miss them. Miguel was always available within seconds. One day we went to Manuel Antonino national park. We needed a ride back from the park, and Miguel answered my text immediately and a taxi was there to pick us up within minutes. One of the shuttle drivers, Nacho, offered to drive us back to our room even after 10pm (after the shuttle service had ended m for the night). Jorge was also a really pleasant and kind shuttle driver. He even helped me with my Spanish! David was a great beach attendant. He always got our chairs and positioned our umbrellas perfectly. Chris, Juan, and David were great bartenders/servers. They also helped me with my Spanish! Everyone was so friendly and great, it definitely made the trip more memorable and enjoyable. The tule cafe had really tasty food and was reasonably priced. We would always watch m the sunset from the infinity pool at the Tule Café. The sunsets there were breathtaking - the most beautiful I’d ever seen. And I’ve been to Hawaii, Florida, California, the Caribbean, etc. I’d definitely go back. I miss it there. …

Guest usually see more animals in Tulemar than in MA national park simply for the fact that it is not as heavily trafficked. Tule Cafe is probably the best place in MA to watch the sunset and it usually doesn't disappoint! We know you enjoyed simply from your excellent name recall; it means a lot to us! Such a great stay. The property is gorgeous. It feels like you're staying in the middle of the rain forest. We saw many animals on the property. Squirrel monkeys even came to our balcony once. The staff were very helpful. Orlando especially, he gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us plan our excursions and set everything up. I would recommend this place to others.

Our first trip to Costa Rica was beyond perfect thanks to Tulemar Resort and our amazing concierge Orlando! Tap notch service -we did not want for anything! Orlando really went out of his way to make sure that we were well taken care of! What a great guy. The grounds were gorgeous and our house Casa Palmas Del Mar was phenomenal. The staff is the best. The sloth walk was a highlight and walking down to the beach our last day we were lucky enough to be surrounded by a bunch of frolicking spider monkeys ! So fun to see them playing up close Definitely a trip we won’t forget. Can’t wait to go back !

We saw more wildlife in the resort than we did at Manuel Antonio NP. The concierge, Laura, was exceptional and highly responsive, as were all the employees. Nacho was particularly friendly and helpful on the beach and with transportation. The room was immaculate with a breathtaking view of the water. Our kids loved the ‘sloth/monkey highway’ outside our bungalow window, a cable between the trees that offered a closeup view of these animals as they passed by. Will definitely return!

We stayed in a two bedroom casa. It was perfect for our family with two bedrooms two bathrooms downstairs and full kitchen upstairs. The service was incredible the people were extremely friendly and willing to help with just about everything we needed.

We had such a wonderful time at Tulemar. Orlando was fantastic at helping us plan all of our excursions (Ziplining, ATV, river rafting, catamaran, jungle night hike, …) and genuinely making sure we had a great time. The facility is truly beautiful and the wildlife is amazing. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this for any couple or family vacation!

Tulemar was a dream vacation. A gorgeous property located just outside of the Manuel Antonio Preserve, it was the perfect location to bring our 3 adult children. We were more than comfortable in the private residence. We had monkeys visit us on our private wrap around balcony, we enjoyed watching the parrots fly by and saw a plethora of animals throughout the resort every day. A true highlight of our trip was the incredible service by our Concierge, Orlando. We could text him day or night and we would assist us with bringing food and beverages to our residence, he arranged transportation at the drop of a hat, and even organized excursions for us. Of all of the resorts we’ve stayed at throughout the world, we have never experienced such unparalleled service and hospitality. It really made the trip the ultimate experience. …

The Tulamar is hands down the best place on the coast of Costa Rica!! We saw as much wildlife there as we did on any excursion! Orlando was our concierge and he was amazing! He was attentive and available if we needed anything or had any questions. He helped us to arrange the best guides in the area as well as the best tours. I want to come back with more friends and family and share what the Tulamar has to offer.
