We could not have been more pleased with our stay. Coral Hills is about a 20 minute walk north of Cahuita and a 3 minute walk from the beach. Chris and Joe are incredible hosts - helpful, friendly, gracious. They happily explained the local activities and helped us find and book our Scuba diving in Puerto Viejo. The daily breakfast is hands down the best I've ever had - fresh fruit (including mango, papaya, water apple etc.) along with fresh bread, a banana smoothie one day (Cas juice the next), frittata, French toast. Even though breakfast is from 7-9, when we had to leave at 7a to catch our cab to go scuba diving, they went our of their way to set up coffee and fruit for us before 7 without us asking. Really remarkable. They also have an adorable German Shepard, Rocky.…

This is a spectacular bed and breakfast! GOOD: 1. HOMEMADE AND HEALTHY BREAKFAST every day! (Not a greasy diner experience) Each person was served a plate with an assortment of fresh fruit. They served fresh breads toasted with local jams. Alternate days we had frittata, French toast, eggs. Always a carafe of hot coffee and each day a different type of fruit smoothie. The presentation was lovely A beautiful ...and filing way to start the day 2. CABINS Sometimes you get to a location and the photos don't match the reality In this case the photos are exactly what you will experience. The style and decor match the environment - it is rustic and comfortable. They are very clean and well maintained. The windows are screened in (as opposed to panes of glass) this, along…

Wonderful location, staff, breakfast, bungalows, everything. Relaxing place to base your vacation in Cahuita and the surrounding area! Quiet area, except for the occasional howler monkey! :) Tree frogs, sloths, hummingbirds, toucans and other wildlife often on the grounds. Chris and Joe are also happy to help plan your stay. Short walk to the playa negra and less than a mile from the national park.

Coral hill bungalows is an incredible place to stay while visiting Costa Rica. Chris and Joe have done an amazing job with their beautiful garden and exquisite breakfast. Their place is located within the jungle- including an organic all natural forest soundtrack to fall asleep to! We saw toucans, a sloth, howler monkeys, and a variety of frogs right from our bungalow. Thank you guys for the stay of a lifetime.

What a lovely experience we had with hosts Chris and Joe at Coral Hill Bungalows. Cahuita is a lovely place to visit, and Chris and Joe made it just about perfect with the beautiful setting and their wonderful hospitality. Our Mono Congo Bungalow was true to its name, with the wake-up call of howler monkeys, as well as the singing of birds every morning. We even had "our" very own sloths in the tree outside our bungalow, The gourmet breakfast prepared for us each morning was fantastic, with fresh fruits, frittatas, fresh coffee and juice, fresh eggs, a variety of breads and fruit spreads. And so beautifully presented, it looked as wonderful as it tasted. Joe and Chris were so friendly and shared so much about the area and answered our many questions. The bungalow itself was…

Three cabins and the main owners house are all beautifully built of wood, all separated by a lush tropical garden all situated behind the wooden fence and gate with ample parking within the compound. You can enjoy the sound of birds in the morning and in the afternoon as well as howling of monkeys either from your own bed as all the window opening are screened and you have an open air feeling, or from the swinging armchairs or hammock from the cabin porch. You can watch butterflies, humming birds, dragon flies, little black-green frogs or cautious pacas walking or flying right in front of you. The entire place is immaculate and tranquil. Hosts are good friendly people with a lot of information about the area and Costa Rica in general. You feel welcome in their home. Breakfasts…

Lovely place! We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Everything was so beautiful, the bungalow, garden, breakfast... Lovely and helpful hosts. We rented bicycles and it was an easy way to move around. We felt very safe, no problems to walk or bicycle to Cahuita for the dinner or some drinks. Cahuita national park was a nice place to visit. Easy to walk, nice beaches with good swimming spots, sloths, monkeys, birds.... We had a good dinner at Sobre las olas and the Reggae bar was great place to have a drink.
