We recently stayed at Coral Hill Bungalows and thought we had walked into a different world when we pulled into the property. The wildlife is diverse and plentiful right outside the doors of the bungalows. Every morning, at sunrise, we woke to the sounds of the howler monkeys right outside. I have to admit, I had never heard a howler monkey before and it was like a jurassic park movie at first, but then i was so excited to wake up the next morning! Relaxing on the hammock in the morning listening to the animals call was pure magic!! The breakfasts were so delicious- the fruit plates were decorative and fit for a king/queen! And there was so much food that no one will ever go hungry. Julie, the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped us arrange a tour guide for the

Coral Hill Bungalows was certainly one of our favorite places we stayed at during our trip to Costa Rica. The owners were extremely friendly and such fantastic hosts. We met them during our stay at a local restaurant when it started to pour rain and they kindly offered us a ride back to the bungalow in their car. The bungalow itself was beautiful with varnished wooden floors and wooden decorations to give it a cozy tropical feeling. The location was a very short walk from the beach and a few restaurants, which was very convenient. Oh, and the breakfasts were superb! The first half of breakfast was always a plate of fruits beautifully decorated with serval types of flowers picked out of the garden. This was then followed by French toast, chocolate croissants or toast with

Avoid staying in Puerto Viejo and embrace the small town of Cahuita as your home base for the southern coast. We enjoyed the lush vegetation and the wonderful sound of the jungle. The bungalows are beautiful. Everything you ever need is within a few minutes walk - bars, restaurants, beaches and a beautifull National Park.

We had a most wonderful time in our Bungalow and the jungle-garden. Almost all the animals we've been trying to spot on tours in national parks were suddenly just there around us in the forest. The Bungalows are lovely, stylish and very cosy and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was so delicious and beautifully presented. We had a relaxing time in a wonderful, clean and very safe place!

Joe and Chris are wonderful hosts. There are 3 Bungalows set in their grounds which could be your own private rainforest.Breakfast is delightful with their own personal touch of grown fruit and flowers. Located just a short walk from the Reggae bar and black beach but also very close to the must see Cahuita National Park. Bed was comfy and loved the hammock on front step to enjoy a cold beverage after a long day hiking. You even have your own Sloth sleeping in the trees above you. Enjoy!

A little piece of paradise situated on a quiet lane that leads to the black sand beach. Coral Hill consists of three bungalows nestled in a jungle setting (this is not a hotel). The hosts Joe & Chris are very gracious and eager to share their extensive knowledge of Cahuita & the surrounding area. Chris will assist with booking tours & transportation. Joe prepares a delicious breakfast daily using locally sourced fresh ingredients. On any given day you will see Sloths, Howler Monkeys, Iguanas, Toucans, Dart Frogs, Agouti, and masses of butterflies & birds on the property. Bungalows are comfortable, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The beach is a 2-3 min. walk and it's about a 15 min. walk into Cahuita. The Cahuita National Forest is close enough to walk to as is the Tree of

I simply can't say enough about this heavenly retreat. It is in fact waking up in the charm and beauty of the jungle. Your own private paradise to include all the life of the jungle. Often I asked my wife why we were hiking the forest as every thing is right here? Joe and Chris were the perfect hosts. They are extremely concerning in regards to your every need. Travel, transportation, plant and animal identification and a breakfast prepared by your own chef! I could rambel on forever and still not accurately explain the magical experience. Just know it is paradise. Thanks again our dear friends. Phil and Greta

We had the pleasure to stay at the coral hill bungalows. Chris and joe instantly made us feel welcome. The bungalows are really nice and clean. It took us one night to get used to the sounds one hears inside the bungalows but afterwards it was a pleasant sleep. The breakfast was superb und the hosts overall just wonderful.
