Fab location right next to the surf away from the main town. Quiet location with wildlife to spot in the garden, including sloths. Close to supermarkets and the national park. 15-20 mins walk from the bus station. Bar and restaurant over the road. Super friendly and helpful owner and nice shared spaces. Well equipped kitchen and nice veranda with super friendly cat! Few rooms so don’t get the noise you often get late at night in budget places. Room was a little ragged, could have been cleaner and needed a touch of paint to look smarter. Felt safe, although stayed as a couple. Free coffee in the morning. Good price compared to other places in the main town.
The owner is very nice and was fun to talk to. We had one of 3 bedrooms in a little house with a fully equipped kitchen and free coffee in the morning. There is also a common sitting area and terrace. You may see agoutis looking for food in the morning as well as birds and frogs.
Its nice . Not expensive. Looks clean. Enought space in the room. With a litle fan, fews windows , garden, in front of the water ( just the other side of the road). You can hear the wave from my room :)
We stayed in these Cabinas for two days and absolutely loved it. There are only two of them, and they are just steps from the beach. Fairly easy to find as they are right next to Sobre las Olas restaurant. The area is very quiet at night. Rooms are large and basic, but include a private hot water shower, and fans. Sondra, the owner, is very friendly and was happy to let us use her outdoor sink, as we were doing our own cooking on a camp stove. Rates are $20-25 for two people. Room quality is very similar to Cabinas Secret Garden, but the area is quieter and the rates are slightly less.
