The grounds of this small hotel are simply stunning. You will be in a rustic, private beachfront paradise, lovingly tended by the very friendly and hospitable American owner. She has lived in Cahuuta for well over 30 years and is a wealth of information. The natural swimming hole is so much fun. Please remember though that the price for unspoiled is rustic, not luxury. If you are addicted to air conditioning, this isn't the place for you. The cabins are very clean; comfortable with plenty of hot, hot water for showers. The windows are mesh, and a fan and mosquito netting is provided for the double bed (if you are a large couple, the beds may not be comfortable for you). A kitchen is provided for you to cook your own meals. Pictures were taken in January 2024 and show exactly what your experience will be.

La piscina natural is a gem. Very relaxing well maintained property. Patti and Walter are gracious and super friendly. There are 7 rooms, do book early. The ocean is your backyard. This is a place to go to escape, although, there is wifi. Lol. Loved it.

We loved our stay at Piscina Natural. It is about a 15 minute walk from town, which worked out well for us as we saw many sloths during those trips. Parking is free and easy as well. The grounds are gorgeous. The patio has tables and chairs to watch the birds and the ocean. We used the shared kitchen space. All was great. Thank you Patty and Walter.

I visited the Piscina Natural in March of 2020 for 6 days and it truly was a little piece of paradise! Immediately upon arrival, we were welcomed by Patty the manager/owner who gave us a tour of the grounds and the property. She is so engaging and relaxed and the pride of ownership shows throughout. The room was clean and had lots of storage area for our bags although in this paradise, we did not spend any time in there. The common area and communal kitchen is fantastic. It was so nice to be able to cook some meals there and there is a fridge with beer and soft drinks available at a very reasonable price. The natural pool is truly fantastic. We spent many hours in there just floating around as well as in the hammocks by the sea. It felt very safe there and Patty took such great care of us, making phone calls to book horseback riding and snorkelling for us and even gave us a ride into town. I HIGHLY recommend this property.

We had such a lovely stay here. You walk in and are just overwhelmed with the beauty of the property. The grounds are very well maintained; it truly is a jungle oasis. The accommodation provides the basics, it’s very simple. There are only 5 rooms, which meant we were able to enjoy a lot of the property on our own. We received fresh towels every day and coffee was always provided. It is really tough to describe how lovely the property is without seeing it. We highly recommend this spot!

Did we just wake up in the Garden of Eden? Arrived late in the evening, woke up in Paradise the next morning. During our three week round trip through Costa Rica in Green Season we decided to head back over to the Caribean side to enjoy the last few days of our vacation. We couldn't have made a better choice by picking this place. It is located in Playa Negra, which is just a 10/15 minute walk to Cahuita. This place is located right on the beach. A lush tropical garden with a natural sea pool and stunning views towards the bay of Playa Negra and Cahuita National Park. The rooms are pretty basic, but you don't have much reason to be here with such a garden and surroundings. Go swim in their amazing pool, chill in their hammock with ocean view or look for beautiful birds all around. Patty has been a great host for us, we enjoyed talking to her about Costa Rica. Cahuita, this beautiful place and the Caribean Side of Costa Rica has left us a very special memory.

We loved our stay at la Piscina Natural. The gardens and grounds were lovely. The pools were amazing, even when the surf was rough from a little rain storm the pools were incredible. Patty and Walter were great to chat with. The common kitchen area has a fridge which we used and was nice. We originally booked two nights and ended up staying five because we didn't want to leave. We had a car and the drive to town was short and we often saw sloths on the way to and from.

Thank you so much to Patty and Walter for the wonderful stay. There are 5 rooms On this lovely property. They are simple but have everything you need. The natural pool and grounds will keep you busy exploring or lay in the hammocks and simply relax. We saw so many interesting animals... sloths (and a baby!), agoutis, numerous species of birds and butterflies, poison dart frogs, opposum, hermit crabs... it truly is a spectacular place. There is a shared kitchen, a fridge to keep food and Patty has coffee on every morning. The Reggae Bar and Chao’s Paradise is an easy walk in the evenings and seems to be where the locals hang out. Live music there on the weekends. It is about 2 km’s to town, takes about 20 minutes. You can rent bikes in Cahuita and that makes a huge difference. After looking at a few places on line and seeing them in person- THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY! We will definitely be back. Thanks for all the morning visits Patty!!

What an awesome Place - maybe I never stayed in a place so nice like this one. Patty and Walter gave us a very warm welcome, Patty showed us everything and introduced us to the area. Our room was clean and with nice interior. Everyday fresh towels (which is really not necessary, I guess) and cleaning up the waste. The kitchen area is big, you have everything you need and always fresh and tasty coffee - sometimes fresh eggs from the superfunny chickens. The natural pools are amazing, the garden is full of love and also amazing. You can see a lot if animals like frogs, agouti, birds and in our case also a sloth-mum with her baby in a garden tree. Unfortunately we have been in cahuita when it rained a lot, but we still enjoyed our time by staying in the kitchen area and in the garden. The piscina natural is quite a little far from the village - but, do it like we did, rent a bike - perfect :) I spend my birthday at piscina natural and well, it was quite a very good and special one. I will definitely come back as this place is made for relaxing and calming down - perfect!
