Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel (Adult inclusive) is a great mix of quality service, well maintained, amenities and great location near the beach but off the path of bars and shops. The owners/staff were more then courteous and helpful w/ activity recommendations. There breakfast bar is made to order. This was our first trip to Costa Rica but after our amazing experience at Tamarindo Bay we will plan our return to this great gem.

Our stay at TBBH surpassed our expectations. We started off each day with a wonderful, on-site breakfast and then lounged either by the refreshing pool on some of the comfortable outdoor chairs, couches or bean bags, or took a short walk to the beach. The hotel and staff provide beach towels, will get you reservations for any activities you'd like to do and are always ready to recommend a great place to eat or shop. Don't hesitate to ask questions, they are all extremely friendly and helpful. The room gets made up every day, the towels are fluffy and luxurious and the linens and pillows are super comfy. Everything is within walking distance in Tamarindo and many exceptional eateries are within the block, and there are a grocery store and pharmacy right around the corner. We loved the proximity to everything while the small hotel still felt exclusive and quiet. Also, I was impressed with the eco-consciousness of the property and employees! We will definitely be back, this was a lucky find!

This adults only boutique hotel is well worth booking for a stay in a Tamarindo. It is clean, quiet and has easy walking access to many dining opportunities, small grocery stores, and the beach. It is nestled in a private setting off the road. The owners are very hospitable and take care in ensuring the guests are well taken care of. The breakfast is very good. Overall this is a very well run establishment.

We Just spent 14 fantastic nights at this wonderful little hotel. The staff and owners were without exception courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They offered fantastic advise on activities, restaurants and local information in general. And if requested they provided assistance arranging activities and or transportation. The grounds, the room and the pool were beautiful and impeccably maintained. The hotels location was a five minute walk to the beautiful beaches and everything in town, while at the same time being in a quiet location. I look forward to staying here again, and hopefully soon.

The Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel was an unexpected stop on our vacation. Our airline canceled our flight and we needed 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel was highly recommended by friends and it exceeded even what they had told us. This is a very special hotel. Stepping through the door of the hotel we were instantly taken by the calm zen feel. The staff took care of us like we were family, checked us in and showed us the property and what to expect while we were there. This fabulous 17 room hotel is located in the middle of Tamarindo, the secured premises felt like a hidden oasis. The property is spotless and lush and the rooms perfectly appointed. A shady open air breakfast area was great and exactly what we needed, fresh scramble eggs or omelets, fruit, pasties and cereal if you like, they even had gluten free bread and crackers... AND GREAT COFFEE! The pool area is lovely with a comfy couch, loungers with access to filtered hot and cold water and the honesty bar...WE loved it there. The town of Tamarindo is minutes by foot (on a dirt road, but most roads are dirt), great dining, coffee shops, spots to listen to music, groceries and the beach. One of our many highlights was walking to the sunset both nights and passing a huge tree with 30+ howler monkeys eating mangos and on the move. Joe, Bathsheba, Marie and the whole staff, including the furry ones, Lilly, Turbo and Delilah, have created a Boutique Hotel that will capture your heart and nurture your soul. Marie even shared her homemade gluten free lemon cake with us. Thank you for taking care of us with your warm, kind, genuine hospitality. HIGHLY Recommend. We'll be back!

Marie was a wonderful host! She was in contact with me to ensure my needs were met from before I even left the States. My stay exceeded my expectations, and I found everything I was looking for in the Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotel: peaceful and well-maintained surroundings; close proximity to town and the beach, but far enough away from the noise to allow a restful stay; a delicious, freshly made breakfast every morning; and answers to all of my questions about town and local happenings. I definitely recommend the Hotel to solo travelers, like me, or couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

I landed in Tamarindo for the first time due to my Jeep breaking down outside of town and I happened to stumble upon a great mechanic and The Tamarindo Bay Hotel!
I arrived on the weekend so I enjoyed the energy of the commercial area which is a quick walk down a picturesque path. I was in room "5" which has a nice balcony overlooking the outdoor workout area and the obigitory "cornhole" game (made of Guancaste wood and really elegant as far as Cornhole can be!).
The staff is really attentive and the "red head" Tico named Diego (who claims his grandma was Irish) helped me find the best corned beef and cabage in town (I was there St. Pats weekend non-the-less).
Grab this hotel if it comes up and you may extending your stay as I did. In retrospect I am happy my truck broke down for the pleasure of the great weekend I had. I think my Jeep needs a brake job and another night here at TBBH!

TBBH was a wonderful place. Close enough to walk to the nightlife in Tamarindo, but far enough that you're not disturbed by it. The hotel is managed by Marie, a British expat, who you'd think was the owner of the hotel, with how attentive she is to making sure you have a great stay. They were super accommodating to us when we wanted to leave our bags before and after check out, and the room we stayed in "Bamboo" was first floor, just a few steps from the pool. It was a large room, and felt very airy and comfortable. The shower is outdoors, but completely private and it feels like you're showering in a garden. Amazing! Highly recommended for adult/mature/mellow travellers.

This is an elegant little hotel a few minutes walk from the town centre and beach.
Spotless and ultra modern, it is a little oasis in a quiet and serine setting, but yet close to the nightlife and a safe walk to town centre during the evening hours. We even spent a couple of afternoons lazing around the pool area, talking to other travellers from other parts of the world.
The breakfasts are delicious, especially the fruit which is delicious and sweet throughout Costa Rica.
The manager, Marie and the owner Batsheba were only to happy and helpful when planning outings, restaurants and transport. Take my advice and listen to their recommendations, they really know from experience what they are talking about.

Great location away from the "busy" downtown core, but a couple of minutes walk to beach, and all the offerings of Tamarindo. Breakfasts were great, and rooms were big. One suggestion of putting in a bistro table and chairs in a non balcony room was well recieved (adding functionality of its' sitting area). That being said the site has plenty of outdoor sitting area and was well used by guests. We Recommend this place without hesitation!

We have several facilities nearby that provide this service. You can walk to some or we can arrange for a taxi service to others that are not within walking distance but only a 25 minute car ride away.

No airport shuttle. My parents took tamarindo tours shuttle from the airport for $20 pp. it was about 1 hour away but almost all hotels are an hour or more away from the airports.
There are more places to choose from in the Tamarindo area.
