My family and I visited back in Feb 2020 and stayed for a few days after visiting the La Fortuna Area. We wanted to go back in Feb 2021 to take a break after the craziness of this year. My family felt safe and the staff was extremely responsible with health. If you want to stay on the beach, this is the place! Very clean...outside was constantly being maintained day and night. Rooms and all sheets changed daily and floors mopped. You walk outside and the beach is literally right there with awesome views. The staff went above and beyond and were all extremely nice! After ATV's my daughters shoes were nasty and I just dropped them off at the front desk and they handed them back to me looking brand new. Maurice at the front desk was always smiling and really took customer service to the next level. We rented jet skis, kayaks, and took a boat tour w/ Armando from "Dirty Oars". Went fishing (caught huge jack and an albacore tuna (the hotel restaurant prepared and served it to us for dinner that night), snorkeling, and visited the caves. We will definitely be coming back. First floor restaurant is great for an awesome breakfast and the second floor bar was relaxed and we played card games. The bartender there makes an awesome special drink with basil. I would go right now if only I hadn't just returned. LOL…
Our stay here was lovely in every way! It is a beautiful property! The tropical trees that surround the hotel make you feel like you are in the jungle. You are also steps away from the beach so you have the best of both worlds. We had an ocean view jacuzzi suite and the sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep. We experienced some rain but having our own private outdoor jacuzzi on our covered deck made for a lovely experience. The staff were all so kind! Everyone from the waitstaff to the front desk went above and beyond. Be aware that many of the local restaurants are closed on monday and tuesday. We ended up eating at the hotel 2 nights in a row, which ended being fine. There is a grocery store within a 20 min walk but there isn't much else in the immediate vicinity. However, it is only 30 mins to the Liberia airport. We were very happy that we chose this hotel and would gladly stay here again in the future!…
We spent two nights after staying in the mountains. The property is well-kept with lots of tropical vegetation that give it a deep in the jungle feeling with birds and even a few monkeys. The rooms are comfortable with good beds, healthy air conditioning and a bathroom with a generous shower. There is a separate sitting area in the room and a small outside deck with a table and chairs. Neither luxurious nor sparse - just a nice comfortable place to stay. The adjacent beach is clean and smooth with a mix of fine white and volcanic sand in a sort of salt and pepper. In March there were plenty of plastic lounge chairs and not too many people. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The open air dining room and bar are attractive with a beach view. The breakfast buffet is adequate with good local fruit. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar with appetizers and lunch at the restaurant. The food was OK and maybe a touch pricey for the quality but the service was a little too leisurely (i.e. slow for us. On advice of another guest we went to one of the other restaurants down the beach. Would happily stay there again knowing that there are plenty of options for dining within walking distance.…
The hotel is beautifuly designed, every detail thought of. The staff are nice and attentive. Food and drinks were good and plenty of places to ear around as well. Great beach. We had a wonderful stay.
We finished our Costa Rica trip with three nights here. The suite was so lovely with a bedroom, sitting room and balcony. We were close to the beach, but surrounded by tropical trees and sounds. Our last night we found a family of 6 howler monkeys in the tree outside our room. It was quiet and so relaxing after many days of hiking and zip lining.
