This is a small hotel just a quick 2 minute walk to beach
It is quaint and clean and quiet.
We went with our kids ( adults). Why husband and I booked a villa , sounds so fancy , and it was great. You are steps to the pool and the onsite restaurant
Daily breakfast was fresh fruit and an option for the main , including a typical Costa Rican breakfast, omelettes or an American breakfast. Our family thought each one delicious!
Our villa is perfect for a bit longer stay with a small kitchen and a nice sitting area out front. The kids have the simpler rooms in the 2 story building, they are not fancy but they are clean and you don’t spend much time in your room anyways.
The pool is the perfect size and never busy.
There are onsite iguanas that the staff will find and show you.
Overall, this is a nice location to the beach , and small and safe.
Would definitely recommend!

We (grandparents, kids and grand baby) stayed at Villas Acacia for 5 days the week before Christmas. I had an accident at another condo, so needed to find a place at ground level. This place was perfect for hanging out while the others went exploring, or enjoyed the beach just a block away or played in the super clean pool. Beautiful grounds, nice interesting separate villas with kitchenette, comfy beds, nice cotton linens, good breakfast included and best of all incredibly wonderful and helpful staff! Playa Hermosa is pretty tranquilo, with some good restaurants on the beach. I will definitely return and recommend to everyone!

The grounds are lush and well maintained and our hostesses, Sylvia and Exibel were as sweet as could be. We also had a very nice included full breakfast every day. It seeemed that all of the other travelers staying there really enjoyed their time.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!
This hotel was the biggest disappointment of our entire 2 week trip-and the most expensive!!! (we stayed in 5 different hotels ) We were a group of 7 adults and Playa Hermosa was our last stop. I was embarrassed at having chosen this for our group, and felt bad for everyone as it certainly wasn't the way we wanted to remember Costa Rica. Extremely basic rooms with a window opening into a dark hallway. On the other side of the hallway there was a parking lot. It felt like a cell (though I've never been in one) In one of our rooms there was a broken ceiling fan. In another, a broken table. They all smelled musty. Showers dribbled. In all of our rooms there were ants.
For the price and the hype, I was expecting much more.
Two of us were able to change to a Villa which was nicer though dated, and required significantly more cash 'under the table'. It felt like a sleezy deal. The grounds are pretty; proximity to the beach was good; breakfast was sparse/basic. (We were allotted one slice of bread per customer) After the first day, we chose to go to a restaurant at the end of the street instead.
We asked to speak to the manager and were told she would be in the next day. She was not. Emails went unanswered.
The hotel advertises shuttles to Liberia airport. When we tried to arrange this, we were told they did not exist, and to arrange our own.
I always try to give a positive review, but sadly could not with Villa Acacia. If you are considering it, I'd suggest to keep looking. There will be something with better value that is cleaner, brighter and pest-free.

The resort is located about a block from the beach. Grounds are very nice. Nice small pool. We stayed in a little villa suite. It was rather dated. The included breakfast was not that great. Restaurant food is so-so. We ended up going to the beach restaurants. They supplied pool towels but you couldn’t take them to the beach.
We had to come back to the hotel on the last day of our trip. They only had a basic room available and it was pretty sad.
I wouldn’t go back.

Pleasantly surprised and love the villa atmosphere. Breakfast is provided just enough to get you started. The staff was so accommodating. Used Google Translator for the language barrier. The wood work is stunning. Only grip if there is one is to have face towels as part of the set. Only 2 blocks to an amazing black sand beach. Lots of vendors on the beach and very peaceful. Would stay here again.

Nice quiet hotel with friendly staff. Close to the beach, with a small but nice pool. Hotel grounds are nice with lots of birds and iguana's etc. Even howler monkeys a couple of mornings (unfortunately they are loud but still cool). The rooms were comfortable and breakfast is included. Typical breakfast was good.

We had a lovely two days at this basic family hotel. We loved the closeness to the beach and the cleanliness. We didn’t use the pool but it was very clean. The furniture is basic and dated but the beds were comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We appreciated that they let us access our room early.

This hotel has beautiful grounds (with lots of birds and iguanas), a nice pool, and a restaurant with good pizza. Located about two blocks from the beach. The villas are great. All located at ground level with nice porches.
