An absolutely fantastic and memorable family vacation. The house is beautiful. The bedrooms and private baths are huge, well appointed and the views from the private balconies are breathtaking. It was relief that the Villa had ADA accessible rooms and bathrooms for some of our more senior family members and the walk-in access on both levels of the infinity pool was a huge benefit. Food and service was five+ star. Heidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Travel to town was within walking distance and the new grocery store down the street was a huge benefit. Can't say enough great things about this property.

Hotel's Favorite
This is one of the most beautiful places my family and I have stayed at. The pool, spacious rooms with attention to details and cleanliness are unbeatable. The best part is the staff, they are absolutely amazing. Anything we needed was readily available and with a smile always. Thank you to the amazing staff for making it one of the most memorable trips for our family.

Just spectacular! I have never been to Costa Rica and although on our bucket list, thought we never would get the opportunity. But recently we had the chance and visited the country with a group of dear friends. It far exceeded my expectations and imagination. Nestled up a hill with the most stunning views, we set up for a week of paradise. Everything was attended to. The space is ideal for a group, wedding, reunion of family/friends, corp retreat, etc. to come together and have a space all to themselves. My room was on the first floor, good for bad knees, and I had the most beautiful view each morning. The room was spacious with a great shower and large size closet (yes, I’m an over packer)! The breakfast and dinners are five star and we ate like kings and queens in meals that seemed to span hours with friends. We swam everyday, had massages and facials, hiked and visited the town. We spent evenings by the bar, dancing and reminiscing. Not far from the national park, scuba diving, surfing and zip lining. There is something for everyone. The staff is exceptional, warm and attentive. We are planning to return and bring more friends to experience a slice of paradise. Coming home was hard! …

Villa Buena Onda is the perfect mix of fun, relaxing and excursions. It has it all in a beautiful, clean setting!! The staff is wonderful and eager to help you with anything. The mornings are gorgeous. I’ve stayed there twice and both times were perfect for a big family group or friend group. Loved both times.

Spent an amazing week at this beautiful property with a group of friends. The environment was more than what pictures can capture between the spacious rooms, tranquil spa space, delicious meals prepared and served by a gracious staff and the sounds and views day or night. This is the perfect place for a large family gathering, couples or a special occasion. VBO can meet all your needs with spa services, planning excursions, and providing guidance for your stay in Costa Rica. What a great introduction to Costa Rica for us!

I don’t know where to start. Our family of 17 stayed at VBO for the second half of our week in Costa Rica. It was perfect. I could not speak more highly of the staff. Diego was so kind and thorough with communication prior to our arrival in arranging everything we needed. I wanted to surprise the graduates we were celebrating with a special cake during dinner and Diego arranged everything for me and the cake was both beautiful and delicious! We hired the chef to prepare 6 meals for us and they were all so amazing and included variety of local and other dishes. Everything was so fresh and plentiful. The fruit and homemade rolls were to die for! We hired the bartender Michael for a full day of service and he was so awesome! Friendly, creative with the drinks and just made our day so special. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and kept everything nice. Several of us booked massages and the little spa casita on site and the services rendered by the therapists were very fairly priced and satisfying as well. Last but absolutely not least, was Samuel. Such a nice, hardworking young man. He was so helpful to us and answered every question or request we had. We truly appreciated the awesome service we received. I would love to return some day to this absolutely beautiful villa!…

My wife and I, along with 16 of our kids and grandkids, spent a week at Villa Buena Onda. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we could not have been happier with our choice of houses. It was literally perfect. The house is clean, air conditioning works great, the rooms are quiet even with crying babies next door, the views are spectacular especially at sunset, and the layout for a large family to be able to spread out when you want and come together when you want was exactly what we needed. Loved the 2 pools and surrounding areas. We did the full meal plan and the food was an absolute highlight. Great variety, incredible quality and taste, and the presentation at each meal was so much fun. Meal times were worked around our schedule, was easy to plan and they even made adjustments to the menu to please our 6 grandkids that ranged in age from 1 year to 13 yrs. As good as all of this was, these items pale in comparison to just how great the staff is. Wow! Their attention to customer service was so far above what we expected that it is hard to describe. What just genuinely good, friendly and talented people these people are. The chef Marianela and house keepers Elieth and Roxana were so good at their jobs and always friendly and willing to help any way we needed. Carlos keeps the grounds looking pristine and even cut down coconuts to show the kids how to drink coconut water out of them. Diego was our concierge and was always available by WhatsApp to arrange transportation, give us guidance on tipping, or any other cultural questions we had. The house manager Heidy was so friendly, always had a smile on her face, was always working in the background and ensured everything was smooth and easy. We just loved her. And then there is Samuel! What an amazing man. He worked in the kitchen, in the house, around the pool, interacted just as easily with the kids as with the adults. Long days and always with a smile. We just loved him as well. Villa Buena Onda is a great place to explore a new country from and to make friends that we will cherish for life. Highly recommend this place.…

We learned about Villa Buena Onda from our friend who was there last May. The Villa is secluded on it's own private mountainside just on the edge of Playa del Coco. It was phenomenal. The fishing, snorkeling, catamaran and spa were all great and we went into Coco or to the neighboring beaches daily. We took a cooking lesson from the staff and our food included fruit from the property. It was Mango season. The staff is fantastic and whatever we wanted just appeared. It is a special place that felt more authentic than our other trip. Thank you to all the staff for treating us like family. We will be back soon:)

Our group of 6 families and 2 nannies had the best time at Villa Buena Onda. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We signed up for most of our meals to be made in house and the food is fantastic. The views and pools make it hard to leave the house. Hope to return and highly recommend!
