We loved every minute of our stay at Nayarra Springs. We were greeted warmly by Alfredo who helped curate the most perfect mix of excursions and meals. We even did the zip line, Canyo Negro, white water rafting, and Bird Watching with the Nayara staff. Our favorite meals were at Mis Amores with the Argentinian Italian Chef. We cannot emphasize enough how helpful and warm the staff is. It was easy to fall in love with Nayara and Costa Rica.
My husband and I just returned from an amazing trip to Costa Rica and the highlight was our stay at Nayara Springs. We loved everything about our trip from the hospitality, to the food and the private tours. Alfredo started our trip by making us feel welcome and showing us around the beautiful property. Our villa was amazing and our favorites were the outdoor shower and the terrace with private hot springs pool. One day we had a couple's experience at the spa. Veronica and Pamela were terrific masseuses and they made our experience feel special. If you are debating whether to go on a private tour...do it! The hotel takes care of everything and you have your own personal guide the entire time. Alonso was so exceptional on our first tour, that we requested him for our second tour. You should request him too! We loved that you could visit the other restaurants and pools throughout the property so we went to Nayara Gardens and Nayara Tented Camp. Ayla was our favorite restaurant even though it was too cloudy to see the view. We enjoyed Joseph's company at Henry's Bar. He was knowledgeable and engaged in conversation with us. We even got to meet the owner of the hotel our last night! He took the time to ask us how our trip was going and if we had any feedback for him. Only one thing....they are constructing a new spa on the property, so if you have a villas 33, 34 or 35, you are going to hear some noise. Our last morning they started at 5:30am.…
Best hotel! The rooms were so comfortable and big! The outdoor area was beautiful, the wild life, trees and our own personal thermal pool - was awesome! The food and the people at the resort were spectacular!!! Also the spa was fabulous - highly recommend the 60 min plus facial experience. I am looking forward to our trip back :)
We stayed three nights at Nayara Springs and throughly enjoyed the hotel. The setting, hotel service and lodging were all wonderful. The hotel is located with a view of Arenal from the main dining area and the swimming pool. The hotel manager and staff were all very helpful and always in a good mood. Finally, the room was exactly as described with its own plunge pool with water from the hot springs. We arrived after a long drive from San Jose, and it was wonderful to be able to go in the pool and let the water relax our tired muscles. There is a plan to expand the Springs with additional villas which are bigger. I hope that will not change the intimate atmosphere that we experienced, and will not create too much congestion on the paths. We are planning to go back soon.
We stayed here for 5 nights for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. We didn’t want to leave! We booked all of our excursions through the resort and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent at every restaurant we tried at the resort. The yoga classes in the morning were amazing. Definitely will be back.
Muy, muy, muy Bueno all around. If that is even allowable in espanol. First class facility, with very private Villa's for ADULT only and full access to the Gardens and Tented areas of this spectacular property. 7+ restaurants, multiple pools, hot spring pools with first rate services. That is if you even leave your large, well equipped Villa that has its own plunge pool. Beautiful with in and out showers, LARGE and well equipped. Great property for walkers ( lots of up and down paved trails ) or those that have limited mobility as golf carts with drivers are on demand and on time. If Diego is driving see if he can give you a drive around of the entire propter. He did a great job and may even show you the little hummingbird nest...shhhhh Staff is never satisfied...asking if you are! Starting with Alen at the reception desk and always welcoming us as we passed thru the area. Perhaps the BEST staff we have experienced at ANY hotel or resort across the globe. David gave a first rate tour of Mistic Bridges. Yaharia is a GREAT guide + passionate photographer for Cana Negro tour arranged by the Springs. Both are internal guides and I would suggest booking any and all tours thru the hotel who provides both driver and guide. She is TOP SHELF. Food is abundant, tons of variety. 7 course tasting dinner never ended and was phenomenal as was the breakfast buffet ( customizable ) option at Terraza. Again: "What else can we do to make you happy?" at each location, with every bite. Wine pairing dinner was a nice touch in the very cozy wine location which needs a revisit for sure. Beautiful spot with smart technology and well educated Sommelier In a rural landscape this is Paradise and both facility and staff make it a location you never want to leave. But if you do, use their talented staff for the multiple offerings in this beautiful and of La Fortuna! You will also be La Fourtuna!…
This resort is the closest that I have been to paradise! From the moment you walk in Erick and Fernanda make you feel right at home with a lovely drink, a warm smile and some great suggestions for excursions! The rooms are spacious and all have a thermal spring and a relaxing terrace. The breakfast, which is included, is the most delicious and fragrant experience! Our massage therapists, Gregory and Alejandra made all our aches and pains disappear. If you want to live in a tropical rainforest wonderland, alongside the Arenal Volcano, with impeccable service then look no further, Nayara Springs is the place to be. Pura Vida!
Simply Amazing. Enjoyed 4 nights here. All the dining options were great. The Romantic Dinner had some great extras. Breakfast buffet was great as was room service breakfast. Pretty much everyone here is excellent. Saw more frogs here than we did on a wildlife tour in town. There is a bridge on the far end of the resort where all the frogs are. Easy proximity to town, we had a car. Side note, If you are not in shape - the hilly terrain might get to you. Tho there are golf cart rides available if you cant handle some steep walking.
Second time to NS, there is no comparison to anything in the area and rivals every boutique hotel in the western hemisphere. Make no mistake, will be enjoying this place for years to come! Do not hesitate to book a trip for yourself or your family.
My husband and I loved our experience at Nayara Springs! All the other reviews are correct; the experience in person is better than just reading the reviews or seeing the pictures online. The employees, villa, food, excursions, etc. really make this location special! A few things that the reviews didn’t tell us prior to our trip that I wish we would have known. 1) You do not need to transfer from USD to Colon. USD is accepted and appreciated for tips both on the resort and off. But do definitively tip, as everyone does go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met! 2) You can drink the water! The resort does refill several water containers twice per day in your villa. The water is tap water, but it tastes fine and you can drink it. There is no need to bring your own water to the resort or pay for bottled water on property. 3) We used the private transport offered from the airport to the resort. We are glad we did as walking/biking on the side of the mountain roads is common and especially at night it’s hard to see walkers. In addition, there are several one lane bridges that the locals definitely knew there way around better than we would have. They offer you water or beer and depending on the driver will stop halfway into the drive for a stretch and restroom break. 4) There is a lot to do on the property. Everyone is different, but find a balance between activities on and off the property. We planned everything off property not realizing that there were several informational “classes” you could participate in (e.g. coffee or mixology class). In addition there are a lot of daily free activities. It’s easy to get overbooked and miss out on relaxation, so plan accordingly! 5) All of the restaurants are delicious! We went in thinking that Amor Loco was going to be the “best” restaurant based on the other reviews. While it was a highlight, we ate at all the other restaurants and all were really good! We honestly did not have a bad meal onsite and enjoyed all the locations. 6) The employees really want you to have a great experience. We had one minor “complaint” and it was amazing how fast the restaurant manger apologized and adjusted to ensure our ask was accommodated. It’s rare to see this in today’s world, but did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated that our ask was immediately acknowledged and met. 7) If possible, book during the offseason. We went during the usual spring break and several employees commented that the return guests always come back during the offseason as the experience is ever better when he resort is less crowded. Honestly, I’m not sure how the experience could get better - but I will believe them!! 8) Plan to not want to leave!! Seriously, we don’t repeat locations often, as we are always on the hunt for new destinations to try. But we will be back to Nayara.…
