First, William is amazing! We got in later at night, when it was dark, and it was very hard to figure out what was what. Thankfully, William was there waving his flashlight at us and led us right to our prepared dinner at the lodge. He helped us with every request we made and gave tips that made a big difference in helping us manage our time/travel. Our tour of the grounds was incredible (and crazy!), it's not for the faint of heart, but it's totally awesome! Both breakfast and dinner's were great! While in La Fortuna we visited the free rope swing, free hot spring (tabocon), zip lined and of course the town itself. My kids loved the rope swing....I loved it all. NOTE - this is an eco lodge, so you need to know that's what you're signing up for. The ride to La Fortuna is 14 minutes from the lodge, 7 minutes on hilly dirt roads, 7 minutes on paved roads. As many say, no AC. It made for some pretty uncomfortable afternoons, but cooled off quite nicely at night. We found the back deck was the coolest spot to hang in the afternoon...and we had some good times there. People have used the term rustic here....for me, a simpler description is camping. It's like being in a cabin in the woods - it's hot at times, lighting isn't great, and you'll see bugs....but that's not bad and for us it was well worth the experience. It somehow changes your perspective on things - to the point where I loved hearing the rooster every morning at 5AM! If you like to camp, or are OK with that experience, you'l be happy with Princess de Luna. Thanks William for an incredible time!

We found a little paradise in the rainforest with a fantastic host william and a very delicious kitchen. You will find two natural pools in totally green, cosy rooms with nice balconys and terrific view in to the rainforest. If we ever come back to Costa Rica, this place we defintely gonna revisit again. Pura Vida

This place is one of the most unique and wonderful experiences we’ve ever had while travelling! This lodge is a place where you don’t just rest your head but you experience the jungle around it. William’s tour around the property is spectacular! William in general was our saviour. He did everything for us and did it with a smile! At first, we were a little worried about the car we had rented getting to the lodge but we quickly realized all we had to do was take it slow. The meals we had during our stay were also excellent! It was really nice sitting down with everyone else at the lodge and talking about where to go and what to see. We loved the 4 dogs on property and would happily take them back home with us :) I can’t say enough good things about this lodge!

William, the manager, was an incredible host. The lodge was cozy and rustic and perfect for our two families to spread out. A car would have been helpful but since we didn't have one, William personally made sure we made it everywhere we wanted to go even when there were three different agendas in our group. Thank you so much WIlliam for making our stay wonderful.

Beautiful place! I came here since my parents and sister came a couple of years ago. This place is so relaxing! William is super welcoming as a host and gave great tips. Being by myself I realized not having a car and taking taxis weren't the easiest so he suggested I rent a scooter in town, the best idea. Although I was by myself, being surrounded by nature, their dogs was honestly great. I'd come back again and rent a car for sure or a scooter again. Would highly recommend staying here and having their breakfast and dinner, really delicious!

I stopped by to inquire about their walking trails and was met by a friendly gentleman that told me the trails were private property but he was kind enough to let me explore the grounds and told me how to get to the waterfall! The walk down was absolutely enchanting. Roughly just over 400 steps going down to a beautifully secluded waterfall that you can actually soak in if you so wish! I briefly took a dip and some cool pictures/videos and trekked back up before it got too dark. Super peaceful walk surrounded by incredible trees & flowers along a river that truly soothes your soul. A great place to disconnect, not too far but just enough to feel safe & secluded 👌

We did not stay at the lodge, but took a guided tour to the waterfall. Very nice guides, but 500 steps down also meant 500 steps back. Not easy for an elderly person like me, but doable. The lodge was too rustic for my taste, but I am sure many would love it.

This place is absolutely unique in the rain forest of Costa Rica. The grounds are beautiful and the nature is magical. It feels like you are back country but at the same time it is comfortable enough to have a wonderful time as a family with kids. There are animals, plants, waterfalls and so much more. What makes it even better is William who was our host. He dis absolutely everything for us. He reached out the moment we made the reservation, made sure we arrived safely even though we had delays, helped us plan every day, welcomed us as a family. The tour of the property is outstanding! A must do! Gracias William y team!

We spent amazing time in Princesa de la Luna with my girlfriend. Jonathan & William are super friendly & helpful. The Ecolodge is so close to the nature & you can see a variety of wildlife while eating breakfast. It offers few hiking trails down the hill to the small river at the bottom of the canyon which is also great & gives you even more chance to spot animals (toucans, sloth, many others). We travelled in Costa Rica for over 2 weeks and have not experienced anything like this again during our trip. A truly beatiful place and one we hope to see again! ❤️

This property is located away from the hustle-bustle, tourist crowds of town. Beautifully nestled into the slope of the rain forest. Room 6 has a great view of the volcano, the rain forest, and 3 incredibly colorful Toucans visited our windowsill each morning. The rooms and the entire experience is more rustic than luxury (which we enjoyed) - we were perfectly comfortable. The staff and the service is great. William is a gracious and knowledgeable host. He sent us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. We ate breakfasts and dinners at the lodge and the food is delicious. Wine, beer, etc is not sold, but you are welcome to bring your own. Looking forward to coming back here on our next visit!
