Our accommodations were very nice. Our group booked four rooms total for one night. All were clean. All staff that we came in contact with were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was standard for Hampton. This is our second stay at this location and we would return.

I was staying over Mardi Gras and had nothing, but excellent things to say about my time at the hotel. I was arriving late and the wonderful woman I reached told me how to get to the hotel while avoiding the parades. My room was excellent and the location was unbeatable. I love that they have balcony rooms and the hotel was extremely clean and organized given all the events they had going on. Unlike most hotels these days they seemed to offer full service with housekeeping which was a pleasant surprise and very welcome.
I'm someone who travels way too much for work and I've stayed in a lot of Hamptons and I can count on one hand the other ones that were in the ballpark of this. I've also stayed at many of the other hotels in Mobile which are very nice, but this is definitely in the top tier.

We travel to this area frequently staying between two or three hotels nearby. Our other hilton property was at capacity so we stayed here. We were delighted to see that the hotel and rooms have been renovated since we were here last! And nicely done! We stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor with a terrace with chairs to sit outside to enjoy coffee or cocktails. Our suite had a separate living space with a wet bar and frig. Lighting and flooring, paint and furniture were included in the refurb. The normal amenities you expect from Hampton have stayed the same. The breakfast, the coffees, snacks and snack shop remain the same.
This property has a small pool for cooling during a hot summer day. Some of the best restaurants in the area are all walkable from this property. You can also grab a scooter and run about for a small cost, if you're adventurous!

This was 2nd time for us here and each time there's an issue.
The location for Mardi Gras is super but mgmt is quite illogical.
We waited 1 1\2 hrs in lobby to check in and were told room is ready.
Staff changed and asked new front desk why are rooms that are NOT ready
not being cleaned if there are people waiting? Shoulder shrug and we have a list. So if your not here your room is ready. As the saying goes
Can't do nuttin.
Then at 3:56 (room promised at 4:00) we Checked in.
2nd day they never cleaned the room no towels nothing.

We unfortunately did not have a great experience at this hotel. The customer service lacked a level of discreetness and courtesy. As soon as I walked up to the desk and told the clerk I had checked in on the app, she launched into a loud and clearly stated rant about how my card was declined (which I expected because I realized the reservation was booked under the wrong card) and that THEREFORE I would need to physically insert my card. She must have had a long day because she then proceeded to try to explain to me how to close out and refresh my app (as if that is not common knowledge for most people under the age of 60). The room was clean and spacious, but the door to our room would not lock because the deadbolt was out of alignment. We decided to shove the luggage cart in front of the door so we’d hear an intruder instead of complaining and changing rooms, but really? In addition, the two beds are only double sized, so very small, and they are also not the usual Hilton comfort level. They were hard with very little give - no pillow top layer. Lastly, you do have to pay for parking and they oversold the lot. I managed to find a space in a far corner, but I’m curious to see how I will be able to maneuver leaving. For those reasons, we cancelled our return reservation and will be staying elsewhere. I think this spot could be great, but they definitely have some work to do to get it up to par.

I gave the very good rating because good is not available and the hotel is not average. However, the hotel is a maximum of three stars, standard, without impressing by anything. The rooms are spacious, properly equipped, but extremely noisy, especially at night when the air conditioning systems emit a disturbing noise. The typical American breakfast is not the best recommendation. Usual impersonal business hotel.

The photos are not exactly what you experience. The shops downtown outside the hotel are not that great and we’re mostly closed. The parking was an additional $9.00 per night. The breakfast was not very good. They had frozen egg omelettes that were heated up and the sausage links were cold and the waffles were the only warm items, the rest were cold items. The coffee was watered down. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. If you are just wanting a one night stay and don’t care much about breakfast then this would be okay. But for $178 per night which includes a state, city and county tax, this was not worth it.

My husband & I recently spent 5 nights in a 1 king bed 1 bedroom suite. When we travel we usually don't stay in chain hotels and assumed it would just be a place to sleep. We were wrong. Everyone was friendly. The breakfast was what I expected but the friendly attitude made it a fun place to go each morning. We also enjoyed relaxing with a cup of tea/coffee in the area after a day of exploring.
The front desk was friendly greeting us each time we came back in.
Housekeeping was every other day or as requested (which were all honored in a timely fashion).
Convenient downtown location for sightseeing. Not being a fan of southern cooking a Greer's supermarket was a 10 minute walk away.
The room had a wrap around terrace and was quiet.
Glad we stayed and will do so again if we return to Mobil.

This is a great place to stay. It is convenient to downtown restaurants and close to both I-10 and I-65. The property is immaculate, and the breakfast is excellent. The balcony rooms have a great view of downtown, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.

My reservations were made over a month in advance and I was asked to change chosen room after two days for the Inn renovations. I am sure the reservation clerk or staff knew the reservations were scheduled before check-in. This trip was a Life Bucket List item. Sincerely disappointed

Hello wandaautrey226, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding your recent stay. As you mentioned, our hotel is renovating rooms floor-by-floor. Our goal is to enhance the hotel with minimal interruption to our guests. However, sometimes unanticipated construction challenges arise. We are so glad you were able to enjoy the parades from your third-floor balcony suite on the Mardi Gras parade route. Fortunately, the Mardi Gras season had ended before a move was necessary; we appreciate you working with us during the transition. Please feel free to reach out to our management team if you would like to discuss this experience further. You can reach out to our Operations Manager, Stephanie Hollins, or our General Manager, Theresa Wilson Lollar. We stand by our 100% Happiness Guarantee. Again we thank you for staying with us and wish you all the best during your travels. Sincerely, Stephanie

I don’t believe they do. However there is a bar Veets right next door. Literally right next door.
Thank you so much for reaching out with your question concerning our Breakfast Buffet that is included within our hotel rate. Buffet Breakfast you will enjoy in our Lobby Mon-Sun from 6am until 10am . A selection of hot and cold foods are included on the Buffet. 2 Hot Selections (meat & egg selection) Hot Waffles you make yourself, cereal selections, yogurts , fresh juice , milk , coffee and assorted breads to enjoy.
Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown does not have a hotel shuttle, however, our city does have Uber and Lyft services that can transport guests to and from the airport.
It is where they pay for your parking ( $75 ), in a secured parking tower. It’s a good deal. And the hotel was really an excellent place to stay with a good breakfast as well. The staff was really super nice too. I will definitely stay there again if & when I take another cruise from Mobile.
I think they prepay for it. It was so simple. They give you a receipt but we never had to show it. They goes off your license tag.
