Review: We stayed at this lovely hotel for 14 days our 2nd visit in a month. This visit was for medical treatment and we are glad we choose this property as they have very caring and helpful staff :
Mr. Zubair Khan made all the arrangements from airport pickup to a lovely suite and ensured our check in was smooth.
I had surgery next day and wanted breakfast at 5.30am , Mr. Kandan made sure we got our breakfast at 5.30am he also packed some sandwiches to carry to hospital, we were touched with his caring thought we very much appreciated
At concingre the team of kanan , shiva and sunder were very caring , they oversaw that our transport to and fro to hospital was available and on the day of surgery they kept wheel chair ready at the entrance to take me to the room ,
Cappchino lovely Resturant, Rohit the cheerful star waiter made sure we got our meals to our satisfaction .
Housekeeping, Ms Shivanshi a caring oerson made sure our room was always well cleaned and sanitised and would send fresh fruits every morning.
On the whole a lovely property with very caring staff.
We plan to visit this property again soon.

I've visited this hotel on and off for over 20years and am amazed at how well the different owners have maintained the overall standards. The current management too has succeeded in providing a nice combination of quality, comfort and courteous/attentive service.
My room was large, bright, clean and well appointed. A/c worked well (perhaps too well!). The bathroom/shower area was roomy and everything was functional. I just wish there had been privacy between the toilet and shower.
Buffet breakfast at Cappuchino was sumptuous, which, unfortunately, left me too full to check out the buffet lunch at the same location, which too looked extensive and tasty. Staff was attentive without being intrusive and I should mention Rohit at Cappuchino for his exceptional hospitality skills.
I look forward to my next stay in March 2022.

We were in Chennai on personal work and booked 2 deluxe rooms for 5 days for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids. The room tariff is very good value for money and the area is central too which we liked .. we specifically chose it as we lived in Alwarpet 20 years back and it was nostalgic staying at this hotel. However this is the kind of hotel where staff at check in will ignore family , forget greet them they will not interact with anyone other than the person whose credit card is named in the booking. We drove down from Bangalore and the tired kids playfully asked if there is a ‘welcome drink’ which they think is the norm at hotels like these .. were actually told we can have either a welcome drink or membership points or some such nonsense.. pathetic.. they can keep both.. Got the rooms we had booked but were told we were ‘upgraded’ ??! Very strange staff indeed.. the rooms in the tower wing were good but stinking bathrooms which either was rectified next day on complaining or May be we got used to the odour.. We had a lot of personal work to finish and the hotel was a good base but would not bother to stay here if on a holiday .. The breakfast at cappuccino was chaotic , a small restaurant to service so many people.. it was December holidays and on couple of days had to wait for half an hour to be seated.... never ever happened in our years of travel but here the attitude was not to apologise but just ignore those waiting ..and the restaurant itself is too small in the first place with tables placed so close to each other ..breakfast was a very noisy affair. It’s the hotel policy to do a security check but once our stuff spilled out of the hand bag while they were doing it and another time the lady checking was clumsy and hit my watch hard with her device.. hope they will take responsibility if anything is damaged during this stringent security check .. Overall there is scope for improvement but guess it is a favourite among old timers .,

We had a Stay at Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park for 2 Nights. Roopsa at the Reception gave us a very warm welcome, Made our Check in and Check out process as Smooth as Butter. She gave us a Complementary Upgrade to Club King Room (non smoking) which was soo nice of her and the management
Room : The room was Spacious enough and it had all the amenities you would expect for. The Bed was soo Comfy and the view from the room was good. The Bathroom provided with a bathtub was also neat with necessary products,towels provided.
Food : We opted for complementary Breakfast and Dinner. Breakfast at Cappuccino was truly delicious and had a wide Variety of food, deserts and juices. The Waiters were so very kind and friendly to us Dinner at the Residency had a Fixed buffet with different food varieties was also very delicious. The restaurant was so neat and looks Royal.
Amenities : Due to this pandemic situation some of the amenities like Swimming pool were not accessible but still we have quite some places to visit around the property.
Room Service : The Room Service was on point. Immediate response for whatever we ask and the room service team also took amazing care on us. Room was very neat and tidy, undergone with full Sanitization process
Hospitality: I have to say Crowne Plaza Chennai has the best Hospitality we came across among many Star Hotels we visited across the country. Amazing Staff, Excellent Service, What more we could ask for.
My overall Experience : Truly a Five Star Experience right from Seamless Check-in, Check out process to Nice property, Amenities, Room, Amazing staffs, Delicious Food and many More. Crowne plaza easily became one of my favourite Hotels. If you are planning for a stay at Chennai then definitely you must visit Crowne Plaza... AWESOME is what I can say about my stay here. I stayed for 5 Nights and yes it was indeed memorable and worth all the time. The mini-suit rooms are indeed spacious and fully loaded with all requisite amenities. To start with I must compliment Rakshitha @ the Front Desk who made sure that the Check-in and Check-out was smooth, contactless and flawless. She has a very pleasing personality and greets with a smile. Kamran at the restaurant was also very courteous & prompt in service. he alongwith all other staff made sure that we get pampered at the Dining Table. He was so sweet to have served us an absolutely yummy Thin Crust Pizza when we wanted a change in the Morning Buffet. Kudos to the entire team. The food quality and spread was just awesome. I highly recommend this property for a memorable and comfortable stay in Chennai.

We have three little kids so staying indoors has been the norm for most of 2020. However when we decided to visit family in Chennai for Christmas, we were also on a hunt to find a safe place for our family. Due to the location and excellent standards Crown Plaza was on the top of our list. Spoke to Mr Rajiv, the front office manager who assured us of their best safety standards especially as we were travelling with small children. He said every room is rested atleast 72hrs before it is given to the next guest. On arrival Mr Rajiv on realizing it was also our anniversary, gave us an upgrade which was very kind of him and even walked us to our room.The room had a cake and snacks for the kids which was very thoughtful of him and the staff. Could see Mr Rajiv enjoyed his job and was good at it! The room was clean and well kept. Kids enjoyed the large bath tub! Breakfast the next day was a scrumptious treat. The staff was all im gloves and masks, and were all very obliging. Enjoyed our waffles and eggs to order. Excellent and safe stay, writing this review after a week of being completely fine after our stay. Kudos to the team. Lovely hotel!

I stayed in Hotel Crown Plaza, Chennai from 24 Feb 21 to 03 March 21. Rooms were neat and clean with all the amenities. Proper daily sanitization was done on regular basis.
Although I stayed for long but due to variety of food options, I never felt like bored of food. I would specially like to thank restaurant manager Mr. Rohit for his services. Every morning and evening, he would use to welcome me with warmth and he had always offered food choices (even beyond menu) of my preference.
I would also like to appreciate Ms. Krishna for her great services during check out.
All in all it was a nice experience and I would like to recommend this hotel.

I've been to Dakshin from before the hotel was called Crowne Plaza.. But the warmth and hospitality Ive received there remains unchanged! I recently decided to revisit it for my birthday and boy!! from the first call I made to reserve a table to walking out of the restaurant, it was one of the best experiences. Mr. Sukumar was extremely accommodative of our dietary requirements and mr. Guna made sure we had an absolutely smooth dining experience! My 8 & 4 year old daughter's felt completely at ease with Mr. Guna as he was extremely attentive to their needs as well! I can't wait to be back!

Checked in by the two lovely ladies Sreyoshi and Aditi, at the Reception to a renovated room of my choice. Both these ladies are very proactive and ready to assist with any requirements, which is really appreciated. Rooms are well appointed, well designed with ample storage, compared to other chains. Comfortable with perfect Aircon temperature control and bathroom with shower cubicle and bathtub (though personally I think a bathtub has limited utility and consumes unnecessary space). Amenities are adequate and bath accessories- soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc are all plant based products. Room was kept neat and clean thanks to Mr Dinesh who did a great job.
Food: Breakfast at the Capuchino was a huge spread with live counters for dosas, eggs, parathas and they would also make special items as per your request like they made a Chole Bhatura for me. Taste of food and service in the Restaurant especially during the busy breakfast hours was really outstanding. Special mention of the Restaurant Executives Jivan, Deep and Rohit who made my breakfast experience a memorable event during my entire stay. Also Chef Elanga, who made my dinner experience awesome with suggestions and dishes, some specially cooked as per my taste. Did not need to refer to the menu all except for one meal. Had all my meals at the Capuchino, since being a single diner, did not try the elaborate buffet at the other Restaurant 'The Residency'. However, my only grouse not only with this Hotel but all the chain Hotels I have stayed in, and I have stayed in many throughout the world, is that the food portions are huge and it becomes a struggle to complete the meal for a single diner. I have made suggestions that they should have customised portions or half portions of a dish but I suppose this does not seem to be economically viable for them. I would have happily given the Hotel a 5 star but for one bad meal on a day I chose to order a dish called ' kosha mangsho' from the menu. This is a robust mutton dish, semi dry/ thick gravy full of flavor and is very popular in Kolkata and entire West Bengal. However, the dish that came to my table was the exact opposite, with potatoes and gravy, tasteless and not at all the authentic version. Hugely disappointed.
Other than the above meal, all my other meals were excellent. Service throughout in every area was top class and all in all it was a really comfortable and wonderful stay. Location of the Hotel is also central Whether for business or leisure, this Hotel is highly recommended

Hi All their restaurants are in the lobby level.I forgot the names of these restaurants. I think Cappuchino. They serve buffet breakfast. Spread is good. Friendly staff.So book your room on B/B basis.There is another restaurant i think itbis The Residency they serve buffet dinner worth trying. Again plenty of varieties. Being a south Indian I was not impressed. Dakshin is their speciality restaurant which I tried many years ago. I am sure you can see the menu from the website. Hope this helps.
