The whole checkin process was very smooth.The rooms are very well maintained. Any guest request has a very quick turnaround time.Be it food, laundry or the bar.The hotel is located near US consulate and they also provide free drop to the consulate. I am delighted with service provided by hotel staff.

A compact hotel with warm hospitality. Clean & spotless. Room was well equipped with telephones, led tv, AC, minifridge and most importantly a media hub to connect gadgets to the led tv. Bathroom was clean with separate wet area. The hotel bar is small but well stocked with various liquors and live music is played in the evening. Restaurant menu offers various mouth watering delicacies. Hotel staff is outstanding specially Sara from F&B Service and Sushmita from Front Office. Cheers to LaWoods!!

I had to pay a Visa related short visit to Chennai and I chose this hotel looking at the proximity to submission centers and the metro station on the line that connects both Chennai Central and Airport. Both the metro and VFS global offices are in walking distances from here. And, as expected, I found the location to be ideal. Though not a big, this hotel is quite decent for its size and rooms are also very neat and clean. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Not to mention, the in house restaurant is also quite good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed from the 24th to 30th of December 2019. We had received some positive reviews so was looking forward to ending of of month long trip here. Unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. The staff do the best they can but some things seem to be beyond their control. The room size was sufficient but the bathroom we had need serious cleaning. There were no windows or extractor fans. It had a permanent stake and damp smell. The shower needed a good scrub and the basin was mouldy and leaking. The adjoining room's bathroom could fit into our shower alone it was very much smaller. Toilet was dirty on arrival had to be cleaned. Seat was cracked had to call for it to be replaced. Breakfast was very limited. Most of the baine maries were empty despite having labels. Tea and coffee is served to you ready made so you cant get up and get you own when needed and mixed to your liking... you take what you get. Service takes a long time as there are only 2 servers. At time we left without having had what we ordered because of the long wait. On one day the food was ice cold. Location is withing walking distance to upmarket Express Avenue mall with all international brands and an okay sized food court. Close to airport but further away from bustling T Nagar. Approximately a 10 to 15 minute ride in traffic. Tuc tuc easily accessible a short walk away on main road. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. It wasn't the worst ever but not the best either.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with wife during my trip to Chennai. Check in was smooth, helpful staff. Room was above average, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was just average as it had only very few non-veg options and mainly consisted of typical south indian dishes. The main highlight of this hotel is its location within Chennai, it is a few mins walking distance from Express Avenue shopping mall, Spencer plaza, etc. It also has a metro station (LIC station) close by which made it very convenient to travel by avoiding city traffic. Several good restaurants are also available nearby. Overall i would recommend staying in this hotel for its central location.

1. Over phone we were told no rooms available, but we were able to book a room online - as rightly informed by the receiptionist over phone !! Receptiveness was average. 2. Our Room was located in a very odd location, room had a damp smell, wifi was not working initially, were given alternate dongle. Were told rudely by the person attending to the wifi issue that no wifi available on that floor (3rd) & he will come back and attend to it after he finishes his meals ! 3. Parking is located in a open space with limited room in a very narrow lane adjacent to the hotel. We were told to take our car and park there, but did not have space for parking. Could get the parking space much later. 4. Given the above issues rooms are definitely overpriced, moreover the exteriors of the hotel were under renovation. 5. Complimentary breakfast had satisfactory choice of items, and taste was good. 6. The manager seemed a courteous & responsive person, and said he will take care of the room issues, and offered some discounts on meals which we did not avail.

While the photos show a boutique hotel in the center of Chennai, the reality is a hotel that is falling into disrepair. Poor service, lack of cleanliness and poor food made this a one star.
The AC did not work properly and the room remained uncomfortably hot until three in the morning. The mattress and the furniture smelled like years of sweat. Coffee cups had not been cleaned since the last guest.
While the location is certainly central and with any EC access to the India tourism office of Chennai, I would recommend a hotel closer to the marina such as Woodlands Hotel.

I visited La Woods hotel with husband and truly welcomed by the pleasant staff, hospitality and service provided to us during the two days stay.
The food was awesome, room and toilet were clean and having pleasant view. We stayed in room number 310 and had a pleasant experience.
The girl who serves food in the restaurant treated us like a sister and all the delicacies were served with love.
Would really miss this small beautiful hotel and all the staff including the invitation and hospitality from the managing director..
