Many times I stayed in this hotel and everything is so perfect here , like from the staffs to amenities. It feels like home away from home. Would like to mention Ruth from fnb & specially kudos to Tiasa from the reception who always has a bright smile on her face, she handles guest requests very well and has the best groomed face in the hotel. World's best hotel as per our experience, hospitality unimaginable, excellent rather outstanding service, everyone is smiling and highly professional and welcoming. It seems the standards Wellington Taj Mews has created are difficult to outshine by any hotel. Trust me, I have stayed in Emirates Palace, Ciragen Palace Kempinski, Four Points By Sheraton, Sukhvillas Oberoi, Lotte Moscow and in many more hotels, but the gesture, the care, cleanliness, quality of rooms, linen, kitchenette, washroom, lifts, bell ladies, food and even safety features all outshined our previous experiences even in luxurious hotels. We travelled as family for leisure and for Finding Place for our School (Business) with 2 daughters, first 7 years old and other 18 months old, children remain energetic and happy and we never even felt unsafe even when they use to be alone with Swimming Pool, all the time Swimming Coach use to be there when they saw children alone, even when our daughters started going from room to breakfast area in lift from 10th to 5th floor. I must mention the interior and lighting of the rooms and of most of the hotel is very soothing, 90% staff are ladies, who are very young, professional and caring. Food is excellent, prices are appropriate, rather less if compared with their quality. Highly equipped room we were given with full fledged kitchen, washing machine fully automatic, full size refrigerator, excellent quality cutlery that one would feel like stealing, oven, believe me everything was outstanding and the best part are the people, the staff, the team of all the professional ladies and few gentleman. We stayed for 10 days and it remained our best 10 days of our life as yet, hoping to check in again in Taj Wellington Mews soon.

A brand new apartment hotel oozing panache; luxurious and glamorous, it will surely please your eyes and calm your senses, must appreciate the architecture and the initiative which employs more than 80% of its workforce empowered by females, right from the security staff to almost all work roles, it was an unusual sight but very well handled. They have an amazing portico and a spacious lounge with a cafe, and a small convenience store. Located in a good spot near a local train station and in front of the TIDEL infopark, taxis and autos are readily available. The check in process was hassle free and I was greeted with a traditional arati and tilak with a garland of beautiful flowers. They have upgraded their key cards to a completely digital one operated just by our smartphones through the IHCL IZEST APP for both elevator access and room access and this worked really well. The hallways and walkways leading to the guest rooms were beautifully carpeted. The studio room was a sight on its own consisting of beautiful ambient lighting and artworks, spacious closets, a modular kitchen with a separate refrigerator and a washing machine along with a marble bathroom stocked with amenities from forest essentials, bathrobes and a spacious shower area. The bedding was really plush and comfy; they had a HD TV not a smart tv but with a wide variety of HD tata sky cable channels. In room dining and room service was prompt, housekeeping was available round the clock, my room had an amazing view of the info parks with floor to ceiling glass windows. The Fifth floor houses the restaurant, gym , pool and a complimentary steam and sauna while the fourth floor houses the spa. The food was absolutely delicious, you must try their Kumbakonam cold coffee among others, breakfast and dinner buffet has a amazing spread with local, continental and oriental cusinies.The lounge in the reception area had a small library as well, Its a beautiful spot to just sit and read or to wait for your cab. During checkout they gave a small gift and that really topped my stay, the staff made sure that entire stay was without any complications. I'd definitely recommend this Taj property to anyone looking forward to having a relaxing staycation either solo or with family and friends. One of the best five star hotels in Chennai. I can't wait to return.

This is a newish hotel in an awkward and undesirable location in Chennai. Unless you're doing business in the business park area, it's inconvenient and not near services. The hotel is attractive enough (the appearance of a 4 not a 5 five hotel), the room comfortable (including the bed, and I love that the rooms are nicely carpeted vs. the horrible laminated (faux) wood floors so many hotels are using today) and the one restaurant friendly with nice food, but overall the hotel is lacking service and sensibility. There is concierge. No doorman to assist with taxis (a considerable problem in India) Not much engagement with staff unless requested. There is a kitchenette in the room, but they lock the cabinets! So of no use unless you ask twice for them to be opened. The drawers in the kitchenette are empty, and I had to request a fork and napkin from the outside. So odd. There is a washer but no dryer, and detergent is not provided unless paid for (cheap). It is as if the hotel doesn't trust guests with basic supplies and utensils. The staff (some who don't wear masks even when requested) are all women as sort of an empowerment experiment, and this is fine and noble, but it is more a product of making a statement and assisting them vs. providing solid service. The staff are simply young, green and not very sophisticated when it comes to understanding international guest needs. Hence, expensive for the project.

I had an excellent experience at Taj Wellington Mews, Chennai, barring a discrepancy in billing at check-out which took some time to get resolved. But that apart, the hotel is very good.
Check-in was smooth. Room was spotlessly clean and very well stocked.
The best part of the hotel: it is designed to cater to the slightly longer stay traveller (although I spent just 3 nights here). It has a washing machine, a small kitchenette with dishwasher, stove and a microwave. I used the washing machine and microwave, so that was very convenient. I wish other hotels would adopt this format. The large and spacious rooms (as is the case at Taj Wellington Mews, Chennai) help in implementing this longer-stay format.
Location is great. A metro line is coming up right outside the hotel, so when that's done, the hotel would be much better connected to everywhere in Chennai.
Nearly 75% of the staff of this hotel are women. The service quality is very high here. Special thanks to housekeeping staff and Mr. Aftab in particular. The breakfast / restaurant (Match Point) staff is excellent. One senior lady took my special request to make Crepes and the chef made a delicious plate for me the next day. The restaurant staff looks after you very well. I had meals as well here and food is great.
Overall, a lovely experience and this has now become my new favourite hotel is Chennai. I look forward to coming back here someday. This hotel is highly recommended.

Check in was smooth. Property details were explained in detail. Was a relief to know the pool is operational from 6am to 9pm. They have a Kids Pool as well as a small play area.
Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, pillows were soft giving a good nights sleep. Took a studio with Balcony and was amazed at the size of the balcony. The room was well equipped with a microwave, washing machine fridge and an induction stove with pots and pans making it easy to heat up milk and baby food. Bathroom had a rain shower as well as a regular shower which was relaxing.
Restaurant Match point located on the 5th floor next to the swimming pool, kids play area, recreation room (billiards, chess etc) and a very well maintained steam, sauna, shower areas. Highlight was the swimsuit dryer inside. Very cool addition to dry swim wear. The swimming pool is excellent. We swam every morning and evening.
In room dining was quick, efficient and took in requests which was deeply appreciated. Thank you. The Salon and spa is located on the 4th floor.
I would like to thank all the staff there who made my 4 night stay with my 3 year nephew memorable. The staff were super friendly and had a genuine smile. A special shout out to the security team, the ladies at the porch who interacted with me. Well done team! Thank you: Shimoli, Chitra, Daksha, Urbashi, Reshmi, Shruti, Sneha, Pradeep and the entire Front Office Staff who I may have forgotten to mention. From HouseKeeping, Saista who leads the team with Nilesh, Pooja, and the other members who kept the room neat and clean. Jennifer from Matchpoint who assisted us all the time, Jagadesh of the health club who was always there making it comfortable for us. Chef Shemoyee or Sumo who was excellent and made sure the Baby was well looked after and Waseem.
My stay was excellent and I will come by to see you all as well as dine in soon. A special Thank you to the GM Ms. Shilpa - you have an excellent team and I glad I was able to experience the Taj Hospitality once again.

The Taj Wellington Mews is a beautifully appointed hotel, the rooms are nicely equipped with amenities I didn't expect, like washing machine and small kitchen. The restaurant offered delicious Indian and continental cuisine, and I was able to order items that were not on the menu but fit my taste. Above all, the women run hotel gave me great peace of mind as a female solo traveler having a woman bell-hop gave me peace of mind for my safety upon arrival, having women cleaning my room brought me comfort that I was safe. I never realized how exposed I feel as a woman traveling alone, until experiencing your hotel. In addition, the greetings, and care at breakfast and dinner made me feel welcome and cared for. Kudo's to the Taj for creating an experience I didn't realize was lacking, I will share my experience with my colleagues and friends.

Stayed at the Taj Wellington for a week for a conference at the IIT research campus. The hotel is fantastic, in particular the amazing staff in all areas of the hotel - they were friendly, polite and always wanting to help. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with universal plug sockets, usb chargers, a kettle with tea bags (for the Brits!), ironing board and mine even had a kitchenette and washing machine. Lots of bottled water is provided and replaced everyday. There is a large outdoor pool on floor 5 which is large enough to do lengths and pleasantly cool, there is also a good gym with modern equipment, open from 6am-9pm. The restaurant is particularly good - there is always the option of a buffet with a huge selection of local food as well as international favourites, and you can order from the menu as well and very reasonable prices. You can get beer and alcoholic drinks in the restaurant. The hotel is situated by a very busy road which always carries some noise and makes leaving the hotel a little difficult, however there is a train station just over the road and you can walk easily to the IIT research park in about 10 mins, or 30 mins to the centre of the main IIT campus (via the research park and bridge).

Excellent services, food, and room too. These are high-end service apartments that have been converted into hotel rooms so each has a huge fridge, dishwasher, stove and washing machine. The only difference between this and any other 5-star hotel is that it has only 1 restaurant - a coffee shop. The managers of the coffee shop, however, are extra caring and attentive. The whole experience is a luxury home away from home.

This was my second time to Taj Mews Wellington Chennai, and the lovely hotel staff ensured this was more special than my first visit in April'23. I was surprised and delighted to see the personalized welcome that Ms Rashmi Changachanda had her staff had prepared. The welcome greetings in my room included a picture frame (that had collage of the birds' pics I have taken, from my Instagram!), chocolates & fruits. Thank you so much for this!
I was well taken care off by Ms Shruthi and her team at the front desk. Throughout my stay, it was refreshing to be greeted every morning by ever smiling Ms Jenifer (Restaurant Hostess). She did try hard not to forget my room number!
Ms Soujanya was always checking on me if needed anything if the stay was comfortable and if they could anything better it. In fact she did go out of the way to help to me to find suitable carry bag for my luggage, which helped me a lot in my travel. Thank you so much!
Feedback - No money exchanging facility at the hotel and the nearest is about 15 min drive from the hotel. Also, there is no cash against credit card facility. If the hotel can add these to their service, it will add more value to the guests.
