I have stayed here a couple of times here and must say there is air of improvement i could feel. The A/Cs are more effective and the rooms were much cleaner and can see an active cleaning staff all the time. My booking started with the online system having glitches, the money being deducted but no confirmation. Thanks to Tia from the reception staff who was able to patiently guide me till check in and after giving confidence that things are taken care of. This gave me a much better feel of this hotel and Ginger in general, a brand I have trusted since I began staying. Keep up the good work.

I was staying in Ginger Tharamani IITM (11th Floor) for almost 16 nights ( Feb-Mar 2023). Though had slight initial disconnect with Room allocation, overall experience of my entire stay was very comfortable. All staff of the Hotel (Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Security) were super helpful & friendly. The room was well cleaned, good view from the Premium Room I was staying in, clean restaurant with very well planned Breakfast Buffet. Most days of my stay I also got good Dinner Buffet & on other days A la carte menu was available to choose from. Wifi connection was really good in the entire Hotel that made Office work smooth from the Hotel. Also the Hotel has Gym facilities for the Guests which is well equipped.
In my entire stay got to interact with few Hotel staff who were polite & well behaved. Mentioning few names who were really nice (don't remember all names) - Nalu, Shahidul, Tapan, Devendra, Kamolika, Roy, Bhaskar, the Entrance Security person, 2-3 Hotel Managers, etc
Overall had a good stay. Sharing few pictures from my stay.

We have stayed at ginger in many cities and chose the same for Chennai. I’m typing this review while in my room and this is out of sheer disappointment. The check in is at 2pm, and since we had landed in the city at 930, we killed almost 5-6 hours and reached at 3:10 to be told “system is down” and it’ll take 10 mins more to assign rooms. The dedicated lift to the 11th floor property was out of order so we had to take the lifts dedicated to other offices in the building. My senior citizen parents had to walk a floor up since one of those lifts only goes to floor 10. Rooms are very average. Ac is not top notch in my parents’ room , and it also stinks. Fridge in our room doesn’t cool. The thatch of the ac duct in our room looks like it’ll fall. My parents’ room has a door connecting to the next room (which is thankfully locked from inside), but apprntly there were noises of banging on it this afternoon. No lock on the door knob of bathroom in our room. Staff looks confused. Very very saddening.

I am writing this sitting in the room. My check in time was 2pm, but reached by 10.30 pm only and came to know that someone already checked in my room with similar name as mine. The receptionist seems to be like nothing happened, called other guest and asked them to shift, she said an attend to "touch up the room" then we asked to clean the room. God knows what they did, it was stinking on the corridors and the room. By the way I was welcomed by a big rat, which has fallen down from the light's holder in the reception. An attend has patiently tracked it down and killed, and from the receptionist it sounded like it's a normal thing when we asked are there no pest control being done. So then after more than 15 mins waiting I got the room, I have stayed in many hotels even the Oyo rooms felt better than this. No maintenance at all. I do not know what kind of cleaning was done, don't feel like stepping on the floor. The blanket doesn't look like washed. It looked like a different country with covid 19 not affected at all, no sanitizers or sanitization. I need to get tested immediately I return back. The rooms seems to be painted years back, all the furnitures have wear tear. I wished I should have reached early early in the day so at least I could move to a different hotel. So be prepared if anyone books a room in Ginger Taramani

The hotel is perfect if you're looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Chennai. Me and my colleague had a reservation here for 3 days. The package we chose included the breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel on 10th September. However, our flight was delayed which resulted in us arriving at around 11 pm. The hotel's restaurant was closed by then but the staff at the reception was kind enough to guide us to order dinner at a proper place in this new unknown city. The room allocated to us was also quite comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge which made it possible to have cold drinks and cold water right in the room. The room also had wifi and a desk so we could do our work in the room as well. The next day we had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant (Qmin). The buffet spread was nice and every item was flavorful. At dinner we were greeted and hosted by the manager Mr. Divender. He was quite accommodating and friendly. During the rest of our stay he was the one to host us. On 13th we had a morning flight so we were to checkout at 5am. Mr. Divender knew the details of our early check-out so the night before he made sure we had some breakfast to go even when the restaurant opens at 7:30am. Overall the trip was quite enjoyable. Even though it was a business related trip the time we spent in the room was comfortable. In future if I visit Chennai again, I would again book a room in this hotel. I'd highly recommend this place.

The hospitality of the hotel is on par with the reputation of IHCL but the rooms aren't worth the price.
I personally want to thank Mr. Tapan & Mr. Nalu, and chefs Mr. Pankaj & Mr. Mahinder for providing me the amazing service in the dining area under the supervision of Mr. Sandeep. Seeing and Interacting, having the amazing food prepared & served by them can award this hotel brownie points.

We had some troubles here and there but one thing that didn't disappoint was the food. Chef Pankaj and Prabhu are experts at what they make. We had amazing meals twice a day - try dosa in the morning by chef Pankaj and try Chicken butter masala at night. The manager Mr. Divender became our personal favourite, for he makes all the north indians really comfortable. Our server Subroto was too kind and helpful, he'd always be there within a few seconds

Hospitality of the hotel is at par with other IHCL property.Excellent service and the courtesy extended by the hotels staffs. Food stuff were fabulous. Restaurant staffs were brilliant specially to name Mr Tapan & Nalu. The hospitality of the hotel is on par with the reputation of IHCL but the rooms aren't worth the price.
