Our first time at this hotel. This place is a stone throw distance from Pondy Bazaar. We stayed for 2 nights and our experience has been wonderful. We did not use the breakfast option as we chose to explore the restaurants in Pondy bazaar.
A few days Before arrival, Ms. Kumari from reservations followed up to see what time we would be arriving and if we needed a car service to pick us up from the airport.
The hotel staff - especially Mani (bell staff) And Jaykanth (front office) were very courteous and helpful. We arrived earlier in the morning (much before the checkin time) but the staff were eager to allot us the rooms as and when people checked out and they were cleaned and prepared for occupancy.
Location is unbeatable. The price was reasonable, rooms were clean. The housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the room and replacing toiletry items and fresh towels.
They have a refrigerator and coffee/tea in the room. The air conditioning was good. We asked for an iron box and they were quick to provide one for us.
The beds were comfortable and we got a good night rest. Despite the proximity to a busy business area, the hotel is quiet and well maintained.
Overall, good choice for us. Will definitely come back if we need to be in this part of Chennai.
Can improve - In our room, we felt the hot water (in the bathroom) could have been a little more hot.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms. The staff was very polite and generous, very helpful and accommodating. This is the first time I booked a Urvashi Residency and as the name suggests, it was really a fabulous stay. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

I had a great experience with Urvashi residency. Nice rooms, clean areas, but the breakfast menu wasn’t wide range. Looking forward to a longer stay soon and A special mention to the Front desk executive, Saif, courteous and well representing such a good manner. Keep it up best wishes for future endeavors.

I saw this hotel during my last visit to Chennai. So I booked via booking.com website to stay for 1 night. During check in hotel reception staff said 24 hours checkin and checkout is not applicable for the guests booked via online. Then I said, I respect the hotel policies and requested to extend the check out as I am going to stay for first time. First, they did not agree and after sometime they gave extension for 2 hours to check out.
They can mention 24 hours check-in the online websites.
After checked in to the room, rooms were clean but house keeping people did not keep hand towel in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok.
Only advantage of staying in the hotel is the location.

Pros - clean modern room, clean bathroom with basic amenities, good air conditioning, LCD TV, good hot shower, very friendly and helpful staff, good location, mini fridge, kettle
Cons - No fridge (Standard Room) , kettle upon request only (Standard Room), breakfast area limited space, NO COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE/TEA in room, breakfast choice could be improved, renovation works in progress (Nov 2017 - starts as early as 7am ends around 8pm)
Hope the place will be better once renovation completed.

Excellent service. The front office staff, very courteous,especially RAGHU, ABU and SHIJIL. The rooms are clean and the breakfast simple and delicious. Even their guards and other staffs were very courteous. Special mention goes to Miss. Saranya (MANAGER). She was very helpful during our stay there.

Worst Behaviour from staff where they are rude to customers .they won't say timing of Check Out.when we check out they will ask one more day extra charges.worst Behaviour if Front Office staff when talk in phone won't respect talk like gundas .

Regretted booking this hotel via Agoda. First they made me fork out additional payment for my kids, as they say the children ages were blank. Despite paying in full, two days before the trip and giving them a heads up at 5pm on arrival day, they still made us wait for 1 hour at the lobby until 8pm. Next despite getting confirmation from the reception that we can check out at 8pm, they forced to extend room at 12pm and demanded additional payment for the extension. They even turned off the power to our rooms while we were packing our luggages. Facility is none existance where they provide five tables with four chairs each for breakfast crowd. Imagine the whole hotel guests comes in a same time.. Anyway, I will stop using online bookings for hotels in India as booking thru Agoda mandates check out at 12pm next day regardless check in time while if done thru tour agent, it is based on 24 hours from your check in time. Not good..
