We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. We really felt at home. Mary and her family were very welcoming. The room was prepared very neatly and the toilet & bath were very clean and hot showers were lovely especially it was too cold during our visit. The ambience of the log cabin was overwhelming. It was like you stepped into the pages of a good home interiors magazine in which the subject were places in European countryside. The staff (family owned) were always there for assistance. Miller (our guide) was a joker and there were no dull moments during our visit to echo valley, hanging coffins and even on our cave connections (lumiang and sumaguing). Suggestions: Food in the menu can be improved, they can try variety of food to offer to their guests. They can also have an option for twin beds - 2 single beds (which can be also joined together if the guests are couple). Hotel signs visibilty can be better. At first, it was not that easy to find the hotel as it is inside the streets but if you are observant on the hotel signs then it becomes ok. Bring an off lotion with you, a few mosquitoes were biting me at night. All in all, it was great staying in Agape and will surely recommend it to friends. Will definitely come back as well.…
The directions given are a bit vague but basically it’s 200/300m down the hill past all the restaurants - not well posted until the end. Then it’s hidden behind some metal houses. It’s absolutely beautiful, there father made it by hand and it’s truly incredible. Super clean, felt really nice, great facilities.. WiFi works but weaker on top floor but no worries. It’s nice and Cooler up in Sagada so no need for air con thank god. The beds super comfy and charging ports everywhere. The family were so nice, couldn’t be more helpful And let me check out late. Best place I’ve stayed on my travels, make sure you check it out.
Agape log cabins was such a lovely little home stay! Beautifully inside and out! Very comfortable room, good wifi, nice bathroom! The location was a 10 minute walk up a hill to the town wasn’t to bad! The bad points were the noise the walls are so thin I could hear the person staying in the room above us snoring both nights so loudly! And we asked for food twice and were told both times the chef was off which wasn’t really acceptable as a home stay! We had to eat out for every meal! Nice place, good staff just need to sort these things out!
Highlight of this place is it's sincerely. Owner is a nice lady offered us ginger tea after seeing us coughing. Rooms are nice, warm. Social space has amenities to spend time. Reach is somewhat difficult but you can manage
This 4 story hand hewn log guesthouse is a testament to the creativity of Abraham, the man who designed and built it, and the kindness and thoughtfulness of his family who work together to run it. Every detail is considered for the comfort of the room, the bathroom, and the public spaces. We chose to stay in the larger room with en suite bathroom which contains 2 double beds. The amenities far surpassed what one would expect in rural Philippines. There are some good restaurants in Sagada and while we enjoyed going out, we also appreciated the convenience and excellent food that Mary cooked for us at home. If your travels bring you to Sagada, book into Agape Log Cabin. (and tell them that Gandolf’s wife sent you.) The photo is of the top floor dorm type room. Look at that beautiful wood!…
