Detailed Reviews
This hotel has a nice atmosphere, but you pay a bit too much for when you consider everything.
When we arrived, everything seemed nice, pleasant and clean. The rooms were ok, but you get a bit too little for your money.
The same hold true for the food. We had stayed for 2 days. The soup and the desert were exactly the same on these days, which is at least strange. I pitty the person who stays there for more days than us. The meals were however sufficient in quantity.
In the evening, there is some nice music at the fireplace. This is however exaclty the same too every day.
So the stay itself was ok.
However, we had some bad experiences with the brother of the owner, called Brahim. He is a narcissistic individual who lies, cheats and tried to scam us. In the end, when we refused to pay for his scam, he got aggresive and verbally abusive. I hope by putting this here, that people avoid dealing with him as a person, or are at least informed of the possible peril.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but it's excellent! It's a small riad with a lovely garden and interesting decor. The owners are very friendly, and it's nicely situated so you can go walking straight from the riad down the valley. If you like corporate hotels it's not for you, but if you like homely placed you will love it. There was plenty of hot water, two lovely warm log burners, and some internet (albeit a bit slow).
The food was AMAZING, I cannot recommend highly enough. Best food I had all holiday - we even made a detour on our hike so we could come back for lunch there too.

It s a nice place to stay, the reception is good, there is a nice atmosphere and in the evening there is some nice music.
But take care because sometimes they are 2 nice, especially a person called Brahim. . if you don't want a really bad experience with him, then don t take it literal when he offers things for free or with pleasure.... He is just out for your money and he s not as friendly as he presents himself. and another warning: if he asks to borrow money, do not give him the money because you will never see it back.

We stayed for one night. The room seemed OK for the price, although only furnished with a bed, no side table or anything to put your bags on. First look the bathroom seemed clean, but after taking a better look there we hairs in the sink. In the morning we had only cold water in the shower. We asked about dinner and were told that they had a menu. but that turned out to be a set menu, no choice and they didn't tell us the price. The food was mediocre and very overpriced especially in comparison of what we had elsewhere in Morocco for the same price. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

the hotel les 5 lunes was a good hotel for us to stay and visit the gorge du dades. Our room did not have a window which was a shame. the food was simple, not the best we have eaten but very correct. The owner was very nice and speaks many languages. There are some very nice walks to do around the hotel and the view is great. For the price, it is a good deal

We stayed at "Les 5 Lunes" just for one night, but it was nice and welcoming. We spent the whole evening sitting in the common room by the fireplace, sipping morocan tea and listening to the traditional music. Music gives a special atmosphere to the hotel, because the owner himself for a long time been a musician. Our room was small and simple, but cozy and the owner gave us additional blankets so we won't get cold at night and was very attentive. Breakfast was ordinary, but we heard from other guests that the dinner here is fantastic. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would for sure recommend this hotel in the middle of Dades Gorge.

+1
We stayed here for one night in a double room. The owner was very friendly, but when we arrived, he showed us our room, said he'd be with us in a short while but stayed away for over an hour. When he returned (from having lunch with his mother, when we would have liked something to eat too!!) he dropped us of for a walking trip that should have been easy to find, but it wasn't. We ended up walking along the road for an hour. But this could be just our navigation-skills! The hotel and the rooms itself are quite nice, bit quirky. The mosquitonets where a great touch! We had no hot water here however, and it was quite chilly in the morning ..... Dinner was excellent, and it gave us the opportunity to talk to other guests, which was nice. It was very quiet at night, so that was very good. The breakfast was a bit meager ... but we survived!

We had a great stay at Les 5 Lunes.
Fatima was a very kind, welcoming, and friendly host - she cooked us a delicious meal and had a warm fire going for us when we came in.
The room itself was cozy and clean. We were thankful for a warm shower after our time in the desert! The room was also very beautifully and creatively decorated.
We really enjoyed our our time here.

Very interestingly decorated and set out property with just a handful of rooms. Rooms small, bathrooms quite strange and not too comfortable but functional (toilet flushed and water was hot!); rooftop terrace would be quite a feature if the had anything on it other that a couple of chairs; dining was communal with other guests. Actual food was wholesome and healthy (tagine of course, with lots of the usual vegetables, all good and fresh), but very bland. This was part of our mountain / desert expedition package, and while not bad I think I'd have chosen somewhere else myself. Great for hippies :-)
