Situated on the River Kinabatangan this is the place to stay. Simple but well appointed bedrooms. River safaris: Monitor Lizards, Civets, Hornbills, Crocs, Kingfishers, Pygmy Elephants, Prebosis monkeys ..... And do the night walks lodge guide was superb, just avoid the leeches!

Yes. Kids at this age are very curious and kinabatangan River is a good destination for him to explore the nature.

You may need to arrange with the lodge as the only way in is by boat and I think each lodge has their own boats.

No nothing except one of the domestic cats which came in for a cuddle. This place was one of the highlights of our 10 month trip.
