We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Trogir staying at the Trogir Palace Hotel ,. The hotel's location is perfect being a leisurely 10 minute stroll to the old town . It is spotlessly clean throughout and the staff are vey professional and courteous . We'd booked a superior room which turned out to be a junior suite type with a separate living room . The breakfast choice was fine with fresh fruit every day as well as the usual continental options plus hot choices too . We would certainly stay here again .
My husband and I, stayed here for 14 nights, we were in a lovely big room at the top, very quiet. Loved the views, it felt like living in your own private apartment. The planes do not disturb you, after about 10pm, they aren't many. The room was so clean, and the standard was kept such, right through our stay. The breakfast buffet , was always well stocked. We never went down till after 8.30am and a few days after 9am. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but like something with a coffee and glass of water, so lots of variety for me. My husband prefers fruit and cereal so he was happy. I had read previous reviews, about lack of variety, honestly how much does everyone eat. I would recommend staying at this lovely hotel, it's so easy to walk, catch the ferry, and get into the old town, where restaurants , and bars are found.…
When we arrived for our 4 night stay in the early evening no-one on reception. Eventually a lady arrived obviously having something to eat somewhere ! So to say she was not very welcoming would be an understatement. She apologised for the room saying an extra bed had been made up for us in our room and that she would sort it out in the morning. On arrival into the room no extra bed ?? The room was okay and clean but very dated and bathroom shower head needed replacing. As mentioned by other visitors the hotel is directly on the flight path and very near Split airport so aircraft noise was bad. Breakfast was not very good- avoid the watered down excuse for orange juice and the yoghurts were like flavoured water ! The cooked breakfast was less than average and when the people from the tour buses had departed there was not much left and no more was available even when I asked for just a croissant. The location is good as it’s only a short walk across the bridge to the beautiful town of Trogir. Better places to stay in Trogir !…
We choose this hotel based on feedback from TripAdvisor posts. The main advantage of this hotel is the incredible service provided. At reception they were helpful on trip recommendations, breakfast was excellent and with multiple choices, we received extra towels for our speed boat day trip. On a day when we left very early for a Dubrovnik Viator trip we were provided with breakfast bags. Parking is included, there are multiple parking spaces next to the hotel. Location of the hotel is excellent, it is a 5 minutes walk to Trogir downtown. If you look for great service this is the place to stay in Trogir.
Perhaps if we’d have read reviews before booking, we wouldn’t have experienced this fabulous hotel. On arrival, I was disappointed, but don’t let first impressions put you off. Yes the reception is dated, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. We had a suite comprising of: large bedroom for 3, lounge, balcony and bathroom. The entire hotel is immaculate, the cleaning staff do a wonderful job. The suite had: 2 TVs (BBC didn’t work), air-con, fridge, safe and hairdryer. The location is ideal, it’s close (minutes away) to Trogir, supermarket, bakery, the beach and the pier for the ferry to Split. Although the hotel is on the flight path (as is most of Ciovo/Trogir) it wasn’t a problem at all. Flights cease between around 11pm and 7am. We booked half board, but were permitted to take lunch if preferred instead of an evening meal, which allowed us to venture into Trogir for a meal one evening. Choices are made from a large menu the previous day. Options are flexible, starters can be mains and vice versa, they also offered meals not on the menu. Dessert is ‘get what you’re given’, it was good the majority of the time, but on a couple of occasions the banana split was disappointing. Let them know if you have allergies, one evening we were presented with semifreddo containing peanuts, looking at it it was impossible to tell. Sanja and team looked after us very well. Breakfast was a little disappointing: juice is watered down and the English breakfast didn’t look good, but there were plenty of other options such as fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries and cereal. One disadvantage is that the hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool/outside area. Sun-beds and parasols are available at the Brown Beach Hotel deck on the seafront at a cost of 220 kunas per day for 3 people. We booked 3 tours from agents in Trogir: Hvar & Brać by speedboat, fish picnic to 3 islands and Krka waterfalls & Sibenik. All tours involved stops for swimming. I would highly recommend the Hotel Trogir Palace and Trogir for a holiday. …
