It is hard to put into the words the experience we had at Pousada Naturalia. It was one of the best experiences I have had with any business, regardless of business type. From the owner to EVERY (and I do mean every single one of them) staff member, my family and I were shown a level of respect, attention, caring, help, and love that I was not expecting. They helped us plan our trip and was with us every step of the way to help make an unforgettable experience. We booked an extra day just to extend the experience even longer. I expect to be treated with respect when I go to any business, but they all went much further than that. I left feeling like a family member not just a client. The staff was incredible. They answered all our questions and solved every one of our problems. The front desk workers were so loving towards my daughter, which means everything to me as a father. Jum, the owner, was beyond fantastic. One of the most kind and warm people I have met. Additionally, Baiano, the boat driver, was so knowledgeable about the island and made sure my family was safe. We didn’t know much about which beaches were best so he helped us and took us to some AMAZING locations! He was patience and so kind to my entire family. If you have the time and enjoy it, I really recommend going on a fishing trip as well. Definitely worth it. The staff and the experience they will definitely provide you is what sets Pousada Naturalia apart from every other place to stay on Ilha Grande, but that is not all they have to offer. The location was absolutely fantastic. It is close enough to quickly walk to anywhere you need but away from the hustle and bustle of the main district for privacy and tranquility. You don’t have to deal with the loud music and crowds of people and can just enjoy the island. Each night I fell asleep to the noise of the ocean. They do a great job with the rooms and the surrounding landscape to make you feel relaxed and well taken care of. I did not run into any problems at all. The one and ONLY bad part of our stay was not being able to stay longer! The breakfast was great and had a great variety of food which they rotated each day to always try something new. The entire staff wore masks and wore them correctly at all times. There was alcohol to combat Covid in each room and on each table. They also provide plastic gloves to wear when receiving your food in the morning. The entire staff did a great job of doing everything they could to help prevent Covid which was definably important during a pandemic, even if it is (hopefully) at the end of it. Our room was cleaned well each day and had everything we needed. I literally have nothing to complain about Pousada Naturalia. You can go where ever you want during your vacation to Ilha Grande but if you stay ANYWHERE else you are definitely missing out!…
Every little detail is perfectely considered. Views from the rooms' balconies are unbelievable, breaksfast is amazing (most of it hand made), they even serve some cake and coffee/tea at tea time. Beds are super comfortable and service/attention from both host and personel is excellent. They will help you with anything you need and they surely speak your language!
My stay in Ilha Grande was not quite as planned as we were hit with rain for the 2 nights I was staying. However, this pousada was absolutely perfect! I was greeted on arrival with fresh fruit juice around midday & was told that my room wasn’t quite ready, but to come back in an hour. Within 10-15 mins Beatriz came back & told me my room was ready early!! The view is stunning from the balcony with a comfy hammock which was sheltered from the rain. Breakfast was lovely & the staff were super friendly! I’ll absolutely be back- hopefully with some sunshine next time!
We stayed two nights in this lovely pousada in July, in one of the rooms towards the front. The pousada has a great location - only about 5 mins barefoot walk along the sand, and a little back from the beach, and it's very easy to find. It's very close to some good beach restaurants, which was fantastically handy in the evening. We got an early boat to the island and the lady on reception was very welcoming, knew who we were before we introduced ourselves, and let us check in early, which was amazing. We found the reception staff to be really helpful, and proactive, and they gave us great tips of what to do on the island. They were also really helpful with keeping our bags for us after check-out and offer a shower and an area to change before you get your return boat. The rooms are very clean, stylish and well maintained. They feel like they've been cared for with love. Our son loved the hammock on the balcony. I echo an earlier review that our room was not amazingly soundproofed and we could hear clearly the conversations of the people next door, but aside from that we loved our room. The surrounding area is very peaceful and we weren't disturbed by any other noise. Breakfast was great with lots of choice, although we missed our pao de queijo (all the food was very European). The pousada also sets out tea and cake in the afternoon, which was a lovely touch. All in all a lovely stay and one of the highlights of our trip to Brazil.…
This small group of rooms nestling up one of the paths from the beach was great. The team working there were incredibly helpful and spoke perfect English. The rooms were simple yet comfortable with a nice view of the harbour from the balcony. You will need some bite protection though and note that the walls are thin - the couple next door would perhaps of been a little more discrete had they been aware - certainly not any fault Naturalia and if I have the opportunity to visit the island again, I would definitely stay again
