The Wanderer's Hostel provides a social and comfortable atmosphere in a historic home. We are located within minutes of the city center on one of the most beautiful streets in the city. Beds and entire rooms are available, plus free traditional breakfast, free wifi, cheap laundry machine, bikes to rent and all the Albanian hospitality you can handle! Our family has owned this home for generations and recently renovated the entire thing, including two large gardens in the front and rear, all the rooms of the house and a comfortable open lounge, outdoor bar and guest kitchen. Stay on Friday night for our weekly barbecue!

PROS -Excellent location, walking distance to all the main sights in town, restaurants, supermarket and bus terminal -Super helpful and friendly staff. They can sort out transportation to Theth/Valbona for you -Good buffet breakfast available from early in the morning -Sociable hostel -Strong WIFI -Dorm beds each have a curtain (handy if people are leaving early in the morning for hikes) and lockers. Most (but not all) have a plug and light -Warm, powerful showers -Cheap bike rental - 3 euros a day -Able to leave bags for free whilst away hiking CONS -Dorm rooms are a little tight space-wise -Bathrooms could be cleaned and re-stocked with toilet roll more regularly

Great atmosphere, amazing common space, the LOVELIEST cutest sweetest really helpful staff. It's clean and my bed had a curtain! Tasty breakfast is included. The location is great, near the old town, you can rent a bike for 3 euros per day. I wish I could've stayed longer! You should really try the trelece cake around the corner of the hostel, at pasticeri Oraldi (2 minutes walk) Furthermore the Peja grill/Fisi restaurant (two names for the same place, 5 mins walk) is amazing to try traditional food!

The staff was very competent, knowledgable, helpful and nice. They arranged football transimitons to watch together. They helped with transportation and arrangements of flights (printing boarding passes and airport transport). They organized our trip to Markaj. They have also available gass bottles with scroll on set or anything you nedd once asked in advance. They prepared delicious breakfast and coffee in the morning.Location of the object very close to the central bulvar. They recomended us good places with delicious food for aforddable price. Save surrounding to walk at night and early morning.Hostel offers possibility to store your luggage even for a longer time (in our case for 2 weeks once we were in the Albanian ALps Trekking - from Koman Lake to Markaj - Curray Posh - Curray i Eperm - (loop throughQuerc & Querck Cave ) to Theth). In the bar there is a drinkable tap water available for free. The rooms offered by the hostel are located in different entities (close to each other). We have been in 3 of them and all was great. In some there was fully equiped kitchen and bathroom with washmaschine to use. Thanks a lot to SLiver and all the staff - you gave us great advices (maps.me). We will never forget you :)

The hosts are friendly and accommodated to our needs. The room and facilities are on par with modern western hostels, while keeping the casual, chill atmosphere. Location is sublime, right in the center of Shkoder. Breakfast is decent, along with a kitchen and free coffee :) Although there were no other guests when we stayed, it seems like the perfect place to meet new people. Will definitely remember this place to come back if I'm in the area in the future. Would recommend!
