When your 20 year old daughter looks around the room and asks, "How much did you pay for this?" you know you made a mistake. I started taking photos of all the issues for my review and realized I'd have an entire album worth, so I gave up. The cosmetics are terrible. Chipped paint, peeling wallpaper, stained and chipped furniture, fraying curtains. The suite needed a deep cleaning. Food on the walls and sides of the tables, room smelled terrible and we had to go buy Febreze. Our suite, in theory, was for 8 people. There was certainly not enough kitchenware for four people, let alone twice that. I suppose I could have called down for more, but wouldn't housekeeping notice that there is only ONE plate and ONE drinking glass in the cabinet? I could go on and on. I really didn't have staff interaction during my stay, so I'm neutral on that. The breakfast was decent, although we had to go to the adjacent Embassy Suites for it. And the lighting for the bathroom vanity was good.

We stayed for almost 4 months while our home was under repair. We can’t say enough about the super friendly staff we saw everyday. We were greeted by the front desk staff everyday. Adel and Michael always greeted with a friendly hello and asked if they could do anything to make our long stay more enjoyable. Kaydl, the maintenance guy didn’t need to help much during our stay but was extremely friendly. We would stay here again even if our house wasn’t under repair.

1.Hard to communicate with non- English cleaning staff. 2. Litter around the premises. 3. Repairs needed in the suite and furniture is outdated. 4. Parking fee of $10 a day which is not mentioned in the description. When I tried contacting the manager my email just went to the black hole. NO RESPONSE! Basically I've stayed in better MOTELS with better service. My advice is if you don't want to end up complaining about more than one thing then don't book here.

Mattress pad left on bed as a blanket. Phone not working - reported twice; gave up. Sheets not changed for 9 days. Closet door off track - reported twice then gave up. Dishes left in sink. Requested housekeeping service with room attendant. Requests ignored. Never saw evening reception. No equipment in business cent. Only counters. Breakfast acceptable. No one was ever at the front desk or answered phone. Called repeatedly to speak with hotel. No answer. Major safety issue. Always a sign that said to go to connected Embassy Suites hotel for agent. After checking in, had to go to agent to ask about breakfast hours, reception hours, pool hours , keys did not work multiple days. Inconsistent housekeeping service. One day it looked like they cared. Other days it was half asked and incomplete. When I stopped at the desk one morning to get some issues resolved, the agent called over the front desk supervisor from the embassy suites. I explained some issues. She stated she would not correct anything. I asked again and stated if she wouldn’t address some issues I would contact customer service. She said ‘go ahead’. I stayed at the hotel during the ten days for a funeral service for my husband. I selected the homewood suites based on previous experiences with the brand. You should be ashamed of your staff and property.

This place is horrible! Dirty rooms, no housekeeping that is any good, hard to even get toilette paper, dirty sheets with blood on them, curtains were filthy, no one at front desk, towels were stained, breakfast was old and dry. I could not think of 1 positive thing to say. Even the staff agreed that the housekeeping and cleanliness was way below standard! Do not subject yourself to this rip off!

I've stayed at this hotel before, six months ago. I gave it four stars then, I'll give it four stars again. Yes, the rooms are dated, but everything was clean, despite what others have said, the bed was comfy (I don't like memory foam mattresses and that seems to be what many newer hotels are going to). The pillows suck, but that seems to be a trait for all Hilton Hotels. The kitchen was clean. I had to ask for more dishwasher soap. Ask for dish soap. They didn't have any in the kitchen but I did get some from the front desk. Despite the sign in the bathroom saying housekeeping wasn't daily without request, housekeeping staff regularly asked me if I wanted service. I was in the area during the smoke, so I appreciated the indoor pool, especially since it was so smokey outside. I'd hoped to used the outdoor pool, but the wildfire smoke decided otherwise. I'd been traveling for 2.5 weeks, so I appreciated the hot tub. I'm a regular gym goer and have a Peloton bike. I didn't bring my cycling shoes, but I appreciated it was an option. The little gym in the Homewood suites had barbells and kettlebells and was enough to get in a solid workout. My big issue was the staffing, not the staff, but the staffing. In January, I the Homewood Suites desk was staffed and everyone was really helpful. This contradicted what many other reviewers said. I was able to get a Embassy Suites key to the indoor pool and gym, no issues. This time, when I arrived early afternoon, after trekking through two airports, there was a sign at the Homewood Suites desk to go to the Embassy desk for service. So I did. When I got to the lobby, there was someone from Homewood standing in the lobby (while there was someone at the Embassy desk) that asked if I was trying to checkin at Homewood. Yes, I said. She said, let's walk back over there and take care of it. But... I was there now, why can't we do it here, I asked. I was following the directions at the desk. She said we'd have to walk over. Someone else was checking out early and was behind me and also frustrated. I was early and my room wasn't ready; I'd expected that. I stored my luggage and went to one of the restaurants next door to get lunch. I asked about getting back in through the backdoor since I didn't have a key. They side doors weren't locked during the day. Spoiler alert: they were. When I came back and checked in, my room was ready but the desk person was struggling a bit. I suspect she was new and just learning the system, but I had to go through the check-in process twice. I asked for a key to the indoor pool and gym. I was directed to the Embassy desk to do that. Why, I asked, since I'd been able to get one at this same desk six months ago. Because they didn't have an Embassy computer at the Homewood desk anymore. I had a similar experience when I checked out several days later. No one at the Homewood desk, directed to the Embassy desk, where I had to wait 10+ minutes and then had to walk back to the Homewood desk. This is a comment for management: You're hurting your employees. You are putting them in situations where guests get frustrated because you are understaffed and you are not providing your employees with what they need to do their jobs. You are asking one person to cover two desks, having them direct people to the other desk for service, yet your employees can't provide that service at the other desk because they don't have the same computer system. Why do this? Why not either have a system that can switch between systems or have one terminal at each desk that can also serve the other hotel? Not doing to means guests get angry and your staff has to either apologize or just take it. That's not okay. Support your staff, Hilton. Provide them with the tools they need to do their job. Not doing so is not okay. Also, update the Homewood Suite rooms. It's time. Stop charging for parking in an open lot. It's a small lot, but still. It was $7 in January and it went up to $10 in June. Nothing changed. We ended up not using it, so it was refunded. but still. It's ridiculous. Would I stay here again? Yes. Why? Most hotels are dated. Most hotels have various issues. Most aren't like they are advertised. This one is fine. It isn't a 4-star hotel, but for visiting a friend for a longer period of time when I wanted access to a kitchen, it does the job. Plus, the Chinese restaurant in the restaurant cluster behind the hotel is really damn good.

Hotel rooms were very outdated. And not clean at all. Nobody was ever at the front desk. We went down for breakfast, we had to wait 35 minutes in line because they had no food left. And we weren’t there last minute.

I wouldn’t even give one star. Where do I even begin….I’ve been traveling with my family for my husbands work for 13 years this has been the WORST stay and the most expensive. We were so happy to have found such a big hotel room with two queen beds, king bed, and two bathrooms, when we get here it’s so out dated and stinks. We had someone’s dirty socks in our room, under the bed is so nasty and had so much trash under it’s disgusting, the walls are dirty, I’m not one to really waste my time complaining so I keep it together and bite my tongue, well not for very long it got worse. I had no hairdryer so I call the front desk I was told housekeeping will bring one up after waiting for a hour still no hairdryer so I find housekeeping neither girl can speak or even understand English they kept thinking I needed shampoo 🙄 so I call front desk again finally received one, while on the phone I tell them I will need housekeeping, come in that evening NOTHING has been done trash emptied, beds not made, no clean towels, floor vacuumed nothing. So I go and tell the manager who is very nice at first and tells me how sorry and even refunds one night stay. We stayed a total of 6 nights. Next day I didn’t need housekeeping but the day after I did, I called and told front desk even told them the last time I called no one came so please make sure I was told no worries I will assure you they will come, go out stayed out until 7 pm come in to yet again no housekeeping. I don’t understand what they’re thinking. I don’t have access to laundry to clean my own towels, I don’t have access to dumpster to empty my own trash, I don’t have my vacuum and after paying almost 400 a night I should NOT have to or even have to make the beds but if I have to make a bed I certainly don’t mind but all the other things are ridiculous. So that night I call front desk tell them I need towels, I was told come down and I can give you some go down have to walk to the other hotel ( anytime you need anything you have to walk to the other hotel) to get told I’ll have someone bring some up, do what I just walked all the way to the other side of the hotel for you to have someone bring them up, that’s why I called to begin with and was told to come down, the lady was nice and tried her best to go find some. We’ll next day I was going to inform manager (Sara) of how the housekeeping still didn’t come and that while out our second bathroom overflowed the room and we had a huge mess so when checking out I needed a receipt for husbands work and this is when she went from nice to acting bothered and snappy. I tell her I need a receipt after walking to other side of hotel, I’m here alone can I email it, I’m very sorry but no I need it printed rolls her eyes and then I tell her about other problems since we talked no housekeeping again she interrupted raises her voice and tells me you’ve already told me, ummmm no ma’am I told you the first time even after assured I would have no more issues I couldn’t get housekeeping even when you did have them sent up I couldn’t get my trash emptied, also the bathroom overflowed our room, she then proceeded to tell me what’s the problem the company paid…. Tells me I’ll take off parking but going to charge you a pet fee, I wasn’t aware of pet fee on the site it says pet friendly. But whatever I will NEVER stay here again, I would rather sleep in my vehicle that stay here again. Forget to mention when we got to room we couldn’t open the door the door handle was broken l, called no one fixed it next day I tel them guy comes up and does something and says it’s backwards pull up on the handle, still could barley open have to push your way in. There’s so so much more I could mention but this post is long enough. Trust me stay away from this hotel, drive extra and stay at the Homewood suites in Leesburg VA it’s so much nicer.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 night with other team members. The rooms are dated, sheets don't fit the bed, and parking fees are absurd. The hotel parking lot connects to a strip mall parking lot. There is parking everywhere including plenty in the hotel parking lot. But they still charge you a $7 per day for parking. Internet is beyond horrible. I paid $4 a day for the "faster" internet and I was luck if it worked 20% of the time. Also good luck getting a good cell signal in the building. The worse part was the rude staff. On check-in, they charged me $109 for incidental. After checkout I was charged for the full stay which included room, parking, internet, state tax, and occupancy tax. They did not subtract the incidental fee they had already charged me on check-in. I had no other incidentals. I had two speprate charges on my card. One for the full price of my stay and other which should have been an incidental hold. I called the hotel to discuss the extra charge. I was connected to the hotel manager named Sara/Shara. Saying she was rude is putting it nicely. She spoke down to me and flat out refused to help and denied that there could be another charge. She made absolutely no effort to verify or look in to my concerns. All she had to do was review the audit reports and she would have seen the charge. I offered to share the authorization number for the charge or show her my credit card statement with both charges coming from same place. She was not interested. The kicker, she accused me or my co-workers of making the charge. So in her mind, I broke in to the hotel systems, charged my own credit card, and now was calling to request a refund back to my card? Hooray for customer service! In my experience, incidental are hold for a certain amount on my card. Not a charge that is never returned. An off the record charge coming from the same hotel sounds like a scam. Be careful and keep a close eye on you credit card statement if you want to brave this place. My company and I have been using Hilton properties for many years. After this experience, we will need to look for a more reputable hotel. Very surprised by this experience from a Hilton but I guess times are changing.
