I arrived at 10:30 pm on Friday March 8th and had previously checked in on the Hilton app. My assigned room was 204, upon arriving at the front desk I was informed by Ron that my room was 220. I let him know the app has me checked in for 204. At that time he called 204 to confirm that there was a guest in there, which there was, and then called 220 and received no answer. He escorted us up to 220 and upon opening the door we found that there was another guest in the room, who rightfully so was upset being walked in on a little after 11pm. From my stand point, mine and my son’s safety was compromised had I directly proceeded to the room assigned in the app and my key worked on 204, I could have potentially been attacked as well as walking in on the guest in 220. We now trekked back down stairs for Ron to call Erik the hotel manager. He called 220 and got the guests name, only to write it down wrong. Checks the system, finds no guest with that name, calls Erik back. Then Erik requested to be transferred to 220 to request this guest to come down, mind you there’s training opportunities for Ron and Jon because it took them 5 minutes to figure out how to transfer a call. Ron is asking Jon and he’s just trying random buttons on the phone. The guest then comes down very upset, rightfully so, but also happens to be one of my son's teammates parents, who then shouts at me when I try to calmly explain what Ron can’t. He calms and then proceeded to go back to his room. Ron still trying to figure out the guest name writing it down again wrong, needed help, so I had to spell out this man’s name. He checks the system to find out his room is also not correct. But the guest in 220 had not stopped at the desk at check in cause, he as well, went right to his room designated on the app. All the while Ron is mumbling that he doesn’t know what to do and that your hotel is sold out for the night. Ron then tells me to wait in the lobby until he sorts this out. Thankfully a solution was found but I didn’t get to a room until almost 12:30 am. I was stressed trying to call other hotels in case we had to pack up and head somewhere else. My son and I were tired, we had just traveled 4 hours and had to be at the soccer fields for 7am. We just wanted to get to the hotel, check in and get some rest before the morning. That unfortunately did not happen. I was told that the manager was going to speak to call me the next day and that did not happen. I spoke to an assistant manager the next afternoon after returning to the check in desk, who offered to comp one nights stay and said that the best she can offer me. She honestly didn’t even seem apologetic but just this was all I can do. I know for a fact the manager promptly responded to emails from the guest in 220 and offered him 20,000 points in addition to one night stay refunded. I spent two hours in a lobby, in addition to going to a room with guests already situated which could have been potentially much more detrimental. It is now Wednesday and the manager has refused to answer my email, I called the hotel and was able to speak to him. He is refusing to offer a full refund for my stay for the inconvenience and is also refusing at the bare minimum to offer the same 20,000 points to that he offered to the guest I walked in on, stating that he was already asleep in his room and his safety was compromised more than mine and my sons. Erik's customer service skills are subpar, he callous and arrogant, definitely lacks compassion. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

My stay at Tru by Hilton was totally great. The morning, afternoon and evening staff were excellent. The area has more than enough options for eating, movies and other activities. They provide a small breakfast selection. But it's good. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

Bright, clean and modern facility. I really liked the room decor. Free bottled water coffe, tea and hot cocoa 24 hours. Breakfast was satisfactory. Pillows were way too soft. Would have liked a pastry or danish option for breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

Decor 10 Lobby 10 Breakfast 10 Staff 5 Sleep quality/rest 5 This is my second time staying here. The hotel is modern and nice… a lot of what the other hotels are lacking in the area but they sure do lack charm… at least on this visit. I checked in late and called ahead. Was told they lock the doors at 2:00AM and will need to ring a bell. I arrived about 12:30AM where is stood in the breezeway of two doors in 20 something degree weather for 10 mins because no one was at the desk, door was locked and I couldn’t get a response til I held the call button in for a good 25 seconds flat. The young man that appeared was clearly bothered I did that and not matter how friendly I was with him he was rude, impersonal and clearly didn’t want to be there. More so my kids came down to make a snack in which we brought and anytime we approached the microwave area to use it he got up and stood over us. My kids are 17 and 12. They don’t need supervision. I don’t think it was that though. He was watching my kids and what they had and then looking at what they sold. No my kids didn’t steal anything from your snacks buddy. Now for the noise. Last stay I though were were just under a loud person but boy was I wrong. I could hear alarms clocks from next store at 5:00am. Not ideal as we were late arrivals. And I am quite certain I didn’t get the unfortunate luck of staying under a herd both of my stays because once again the sound from above left for a very sleepless morning. They definitely got ripped off when the insulation/walls were installed. The floors need carpets. I get it they are going for a “look” but this is NOT working.

Like cold showers for 4 days straight? This is your place. Like loud parties all night and multiple requests to the front desk are ignored? This is your place. Like a place where you are promised the Manager is coming to address the situation but never shows? This is your place. Want to stay where you are promised the manager will call you the next day, but never does? This is your place. Great location. Clean Rooms. POOR SERVICE. Management and staff do NOT care. Stay elsewhere.

There were positives about this hotel, like the pool table and other games in the lobby, a decent breakfast, and a great location for this busy area. However, we had some issues, such as 2 lamps in our room that did not work at all and limited supplies such as towels and pillows. The staff was great, and very helpful. If you are looking for a no grills hotel room close to shopping and restaurants this is a great choice.

First time writing a review for a hotel because the experience was that bad and I've stayed in a lot of different Hilton brand hotels, never had any major issues. We reserved a king bed room but was given a two double bed room. When we asked if there were any king bed rooms available, the front desk representative was less than helpful and seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else (fair enough). So we just didn't bother anymore and stayed in the double bed room for the next 3 nights. The entire time we were there (3 nights), our room wasn't turned once. There was a mixup on our end on the last night as someone else had helped us book the hotel so we weren't aware that we were suppose to check out the day before, again that's on us we should've doublechecked. However, no one bothered to call or text us to check with us or just give us a heads up, they just deactivated our cards and left our stuff in there and charged our credit card for the incidentals and everything for the day. When we got back to the hotel that evening, obviously couldn't get in. So we went down to the front desk to figure it out, the rep was like "oh did you guys know you were suppose to check out today?" Well obviously not if all of our stuff was still in the room, there clearly is a mixup somewhere but again, no one contacted us in any way, what was the point of getting all of our information when we checked in then. So we had to get our room back for the night. Checked my account, there were 4 or 5 different charges when we checked out the next day, wasn't offered a line item receipt. (Update: they charged us 3 times the nightly rate plus like 2 other random charges) Everything (including the little things) added up to a really bad experience, and the icing on the cake is that everyone else was offered a welcome goodie bag, not us though. So take that what you will, the location is really nice with all sorts of shopping and restaurants but maybe stay somewhere else nearby.

When you walk in the lobby is very nice. The staff were all friendly. Actually, the lady at breakfast was specifically nice. She spoke to everyone making us each feel right at home. The gym was nice, average number of machines. I went at times not many people were around. The rooms were clean and appeared fairly new. Everything in good shape however, there was no coffee pot in the room and at 6:30p, decaf coffee in lobby cold. Not great! There was only 1 face towel in room. Seriously! Soap, lotion and shampoo dispensers very hard to get them out. Didn’t like them at all. Four nice pillows in the bed. The bed was too soft for me, but I know some others like a soft mattress. The water was hot and it had very adequate pressure. Breakfast was the standard breakfast for these Hilton properties. Nothing to write home about but good enough to make do until lunch. So over all for me, an average stay. I would probably not book Tru again. Much prefer other Hilton properties.

Chose to not have housekeeping. King size room too small for two- hated the soap dispensing in bathroom and had to ask for soap bars at desk. All eggs and sausage very cold and even concerned sausage links under cooked.

Hotel is new and clean. However. The hotel IS part of a block they requested to be part of. Created for youth soccer teams attending the USYS Eastern Regional Championship. I requested on Thursday that a mgr call me as there will be a number of kids needing breakfast at 630 instead of 7 AM on Saturday and Sunday due to 8AM games and at least a 20 min drive to the fields... No call No breakfast. Nothing like fast food just before an important sporting event. We would have been happy with oatmeal, fruit, juice and milk out early for our athletes. But nothing...not a thing....didnt even pretend to try to make a concession. Great job Hilton! Thanks desk and mgmt team for not even providing a call. Had you at least called and said no i would have been annoyed but you could have avoided the review......wonderful customer service
