From start to finish, my experience was smooth and comfortable. Checking in and out was expedient and I found the room to be spacious, clean and contained everything I needed. I ate nearly every meal at the hotel restaurant and would say my favorite part of my stay was being greeted by Beatriz each morning before breakfast.
The Sheraton Pentagon City has become our favorite hotel for these reasons: -Cleanliness (super clean hotel and rooms!!) -A great night's sleep - a great mattress and quiet room =can't hear traffic or hotel neighbors -Centrally located - easy to get anywhere in the DC area -Airport Shuttle runs on time with kind drivers who help with baggage -Easy and safe parking under the hotel -Terrific Front Desk Team that will graciously assist with any need or request -Friendly Breakfast Team - Good Coffee & Breakfast with homemade baked goods -Large and comfortable rooms -Friendly hotel employees -Feels like a home away from home - we consistently enjoy our stays. -It is obvious an outstanding GM is running the hotel
Geliia checked me in and was fantastic! She gave a great rundown of all the facilities and amnesties that the hotel had to offer and even gave us a meal coupon/voucher. How kind of her! My stay was from a Friday to Sunday and I enjoyed it quite a bit. We had a nice view of the pentagon and surrounding area. I am in town often with my boyfriend and the Sheraton in pentagon city is our go to spot for relaxation.
I stayed at the Pentagon City Sheraton for 3 nights in January while I was in DC on business. I booked the hotel as it was central to where I needed to be, and they had a great deal going on. I regretted it even before I checked in. Communication was horrible. I used the app to try to get some info about the airport shuttle, but 4 hours later, no response. I eventually called, and they responded via the app with instructions about the shuttle. I ended up landing early and got to the spot 25 minutes before it was scheduled. It never showed up, and I called the property a dozen times with no answer, eventually having to use titanium service to get ahold of them. Staff then insinuated I was a) at the wrong airport, b) the wrong door and told me the shuttle came by and actually picked up someone up. This was a lie by either staff or the shuttle driver. I eventually had to take a cab, rather than wait the 45 minutes staff suggested. When I checked in, the lobby was packed with teenagers. I’m talking a hundred. The elevators were packed with kids going up and down between rooms, etc. sometimes having to wait 3-4 elevators. I think they were in DC for a protest. When I eventually got to my room, I noted what appeared to be blood on the door frame, and bathroom wall. They were kind enough to give me another room, which was good. The room was large, and had a comfortable bed, and a nice view of DC and Pentagon. Bathroom is small and dated, with the door handle loose and falling off, and the sink not in the bathroom itself but in a common area. The pool was closed, and the gym was quite small. When I went to get dinner with the $25 voucher they gave me, it was only at the bar, and was pub food in plastic containers and cutlery, with a drunks yelling at the TV. Titanium Breakfast was a $25 voucher at the restaurant, which didn’t cover the limited buffet after a tip. Food was mediocre, and it was a bummer I had to pay out of pocket every day for it since they don’t have a club lounge. Front desk manager was awesome and provided some points to compensate the experience, but all in all, I was disappointed.…
The staff of the hotel were hospitable. They showed so much courtesy and were willing to help. I had a long stay and saw this as a culture of the hotel. Neat and well maintained rooms. Breakfast was clean. I however wished there was more diversity in menu for dinner. Let me mention Gelila who received me first time and Helen who knew what was right for breakfast. Overall it was a quiet and nice place.
If you come to this hotel and want the best service look for Gellia. She works in the morning. Made me feel like I was home throughout my stay. When it was extended she help me with reservations also gave me a few passes for Dinner Thanks again. I will be back
Sheraton at Pentagon City is one of thee best hotels to stay while you are in D.C. This hotel has the best people working there. I will tell you about Helen. Helen is one of the sweetest, nicest, most professional person you could come into contact with. We were blessed to meet her during breakfast. She was very attentive and helpful, always checked on us and we didn’t want for anything. It’s so nice to be away from home, and someone makes you feel like it’s home. That is what she did for us, and that is how the people here make you feel. I’m so glad we chose this hotel because everything is great here. The food, the rooms with these amazing views, the drinks and the hospitality. Even the lady in the gift store was super sweet when we went to buy some things for our co-workers. This has been a great stay and we will be back. If you are in the area, I hope you get to meet all the amazing people we did, and we will definitely be back here for our next business trip. Thanks for making our stay here too notch! We are enjoying every minute.…
If I could give it 100 stars, I would. I was weary about the comments but I’m glad I went with it. The staff was EXCELLENT and they treat you as if they know you. They really wanted me to have a great experience. It was a clean hotel, beautiful really. The outside view of hotel looks outdated but the inside was impeccable. The room was spacious and in great condition. The view was gorgeous! You have to try the wings at the restaurant. The servers were great! I have zero complaints! If I were to visit DC again this is where I’ll stay!
This hotel was great. The customer service is wonderful. It started when I was greeted upon checking in and the receptionist was extremely friendly and she was able to accommodate what I needed. I also had breakfast there for a few days during my stay and Helen was absolutely a delight! Super friendly, really great at her job, and made sure I had everything I needed always. Having prior experience in the restaurant industry, I can say her service is top notch (promote her) The bed was very comfortable, view was great, no complaints at all for the room/stay!
Very clean facility. Friendly staff. At first I was given an adjoining room, I am a senior and did not feel safe and requested to be moved to another room. I was relocated to the 14th floor, nice view, no refrigerator. I showered late and was woken by this awful smell (it smelled like marijuana). I called the front desk to double check that the hotel was a non smoking facility, she said it was and she would have security do a floor check. Upon further investigation, I realized it was the toxic smell coming from the plastic shower curtain liner. I called the front desk again and asked if housekeeping would change the liner. The plastic liner was replaced with another plastic liner, I asked the houseman did the hotel have fabric/cloth water resistant liners, he said no. I should have spoken to the MOD, but it was late and I was very tired. I wore my mask in the room the remainder of my stay. My main concern is the are the plastic shower curtain liners PEVA free and how often are they changed. I realize that the Sheraton is an older facility. Do other hotels under the Marriott Brand provide non-toxic fabric/cloth water resistant shower curtain liners? Sheraton Manager response needed. Thank you, (SM)…
