A hidden pleasure of a hotel. I would probably not have considered this location for staying in DC and visiting the sights, but as I had meetings close by I chose to stay here. I was very pleasantly surprised by what I got, and might even stay here for a holiday trip with the family. I had an 8th-floor room which was immaculate and spacious. As was the hotel itself. The bed was super-comfortable and I slept like a log all week. The window leaked noticeably, but the AC kept the room temperature perfect. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Fresh fruit and berries with yoghurt, cooked items, juices and coffee. All the staff members were friendly and helpful, even to a somewhat jet-lagged and a little bit unsocial foreigner. I really felt at home. The hotel is located on top of the escalators to the Ballston metro station and has indoor walkways connecting it to a nearby mall (with a Macy’s and several fast food options although I didn’t try those). Riding the metro to DC was surprisingly easy and fast too: the service (orange and silver lines) is frequent and it only took 20 minutes or so to get into the city from your room. The ticket machines took a little figuring out the first time but were really simple to use in an 80s way in the end. I took an Uber to get here from the Reagan airport, but rode the metro back out to the airport. The metro too was simple with easy access from the street level and one switch between the orange and blue lines at Rosslyn. I had a great experience, and would definitely stay here again. For business or for pleasure.…
Great location, friendly staff and a very clean environment. The on-site amenities are fantastic, and the hotel is situated near many eateries and social gathering places. When I have to travel to the District area I will definitely book my stay here.
I previously stayed at this Hilton which is centrally located within Ballston, Arlington and this time around I felt like there was a step down from prior experiences and from my stay at other Hiltons (i.e. in Europe). While staff members are friendly and helpful, it was misleadingly advertised on the website that the hotel offers room service. Furthermore, the rooms have noisy HVAC units (the sound of fan is part and parcel of the unit functioning) that make it difficult to sleep. Would also note that the room is a shower only with no-bath facilities. Finally, there is an overpriced and basic breakfast.
We've stayed at this hotel many times and found it to be well staffed, well run and never disappointing! Rooms are always clean and quiet! The hotel also has a great location, close to Washington D.C., has underground parking and is adjacent to the Ballston Metro.
I like to stay in different Hilton family properties across the portfolio when I stay in different cities. A trip out the new section of the Metro Silver Line brought me to this location. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I have stayed in many hotels and know the standards I expect from each brand in the portfolio. This Hilton provided me with a pleasurable and ample stay. As always I chose my room along with pre-check-in the day before my arrival. Upon arrival I was pleased to find that the entrance to the hotel is literally at the top of the exit from the Metro. I went right to my room with the digital key, bypassing the front desk. I would later return to get the water bottles I was entitled to. The room was certainly a good size for a suburban location... plenty of room for everything. The bathroom satisfactory as well with enough space for my toiletries. The shower had no hot water issues. Climate in the room was easy to control, although it was fairly mild outside for early December. In the morning, breakfast was served at the place on the second floor, a typical buffet offering with many diverse choices. All in all this place comes highly recommended if in the DC area; it's easy to get anywhere by Metro.…
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a standard king room, which included a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There was plenty of room for 2 people. They hotel has a parking garage, and in mid-Dec 2022 was charging $22 a night. What we loved most was the location. We did not pay extra for breakfast, but there are numerous restaurants in walking distance. Try the Silver Diner for breakfast/brunch. The best part is the Ballston-MU metro stop is literally outside the door of the hotel.
The Hilton Arlington is my preferred hotel when traveling to Arlington for business. The accommodation is specious and very clean. The beds are extremely comfy with crisp clean bedding. Everyone at the hotel works incredibly hard to ensure that the guests requirements are met. I’d like to call out the breakfast catering team for always being so happy first thing in the morning and for ensuring that I’ve a cup of boiling hot water so that I can have a cuppa tea. The breakfasts are lovely. Every day at 17.00 the hotel hosts a happy hour (s) in Dan & Brad’s restaurant (mezzanine level); service is provided by the wonderful Kiki who’s absolutely fascinating and makes delicious Cosmopolitan’s. Can’t wait to go back.
Nice location, walkable to everything in Ballston area. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast and Lounge access as a Diamond was high quality, no complaints. When in the area this is our go-to hotel. Parking is all around, so that is not an issue. No negatives here, all around quality property.
This place is great for visiting the DC/Arlington Area. Next to the metro station. A lot of eateries. Microwave and Fridge in the room. The food at the restaurants was great. The Salmon/Ribeye was great. The breakfast and lounge was outstanding. WIll be back again. Clean rooms!!!!!!
We arrived late at night and were welcomed by the staff. The room was very clean, and thanks to being a smoke-free and pet-free hotel, smelled great as well! The bed, sheets and pillows were very comfortable and the room was quiet (after we turned the AC off). There was construction across the street, but they weren't doing loud things that night/day, so we don't know if it would have been loud/disturbing, but we didn't hear any other street noise despite the hotel being in a busy/convenient location right above the Metro station.
