Feedback from a titanium member who has stayed in marriott all over the world - and am a loyal lover of the brand - Please everybody to avoid this poperty by all means.....or suffer! No sanitizer anywhere in the hotel! Absolutely no covid protocol being followed.. In the midst of the winter, no heating available in one of the rooms! Repetated requests seeking help to no avail - "we do not have staff to attend to this - sorry" was the response. Nobody available for any service! Is this the new marriott standard of service? Apalled as a long term loyal member of the mariott family.... This when i am paying over 315 usd per night for a 19 night stay!!! Disaster!

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for providing feedback on your most recent stay with us. I apologize for the challenges you encountered during your stay with us and for any inconveniences that was caused. Our hotel has many sanitizer dispensers throughout our public areas, we have complimentary disinfecting wipes available upon request, and we have engineers onsite daily to assist with anything that presents itself. Please rest assure knowing this has been addressed with the hotel team to prevent this from reoccurring in the future. Once again, I apologize for the inconveniences and we hope to have an opportunity in the near future to show you a better experience. Thank you for your loyalty to Marriott.

I made the dumb mistake of not calling ahead to find out if the pool is open because ALL the hotel pools are open now!!! Why isn’t this one? All the other places I’ve stayed just require a reservation. It’s that simple. We were going to stay here for a month during our international move. But we won’t stay the week. It’s just that our little one is being super awesome during a tough time and I just wanted her to have a pool to ease the transition. The breakfast is also not great. The room is fine, and the location is convenient, but the lazy management makes me want to move on.

I have been here for 2 days/2 nights so far. The location is GREAT!!! Romeo checked me in and he was really kind and helpful. ALL the other front desk attendants have been sub-par, at best! First, let’s all stop using COVID as THE excuse for crappy service. I got to my room which was less than clean. The dishes had already been put in the cabinets, yet the dishwasher had not finished it’s final wash/dry cycle. There was a sticky substance (syrup?) on the kitchen table and crumbs! Wow! I also went to get a water glass and it had some sort of nasty “something” in the bottom of the glass. Yuck! I went to get the little bottle of dish soap to rehash the dishes only to find it missing. There is usually plenty of soap in these rooms, but there was none! So, I started looking around…no dish soap, no sponge, no dish rag, no popcorn, no toiletries, etc…. And, to top everything, the air conditioner was broken. I went downstairs and asked about all the missing”items”. I was told it was b/c of “COVID”! REALLY! What a lame excuse. But, I was given dish soap for all my troubles. Again, really! My husband and I just stayed in a Residence Inn in Healdsburg, CA a month ago and EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!! The first night I burned up. I stopped by the front desk the next morning at exactly 10 am and asked them if they could fix my ac b/f I returned. I got back at 3 pm and my room was still not “cold” which it should have been! I called downstaIrs and was told they would check with maintenance to see what was done. I was assured they would call me right back. I waited and waited. I finally called them only to be told that maintenance would “call me”. Again, I waited and waited! NO ONE CALLED. I finally called for a THIRD time only to be told that “maintenance could not fix the unit and I would need to move across the hall”. I’m pretty mad at this time b/c I am having to chase down a solution. “Across the hall” ended up being all the way at the other end of the property but on the same floor. 😒 Finally, I’m in a very cool room and praying that my last 2 nights are uneventful! All I can do is pray! BTW… breakfast, which is “grab and go” is OVER by 9:00 am on Saturday and Sundays. Who the heck is up that early on the weekends? Just asking!!!!

Chose hotel for price, proximity and pet friendly designation. Arrived after midnight and forced to sign pet waiver form that charged $100 pet fee which was not mentioned either upfront when reserving or on confirmation. Pet fee was greater than my room rate! What was mentioned on confirm was $16 parking fee. Night clerk had me sign a parking form that noted a $22 fee. Signed both forms under duress and noted my issues and clerk said manager would be there in am to address both. Upon entering room it smelled of pungent takeout. I also found a bobby pin on bedroom carpet and safety pin on bathroom floor. Spoke w/ manager in am. She reduced parking to $16 and pet fee to $50 on the spot and agreed to check the website to see if fee was clearly stated or not then reduce further if not. Two days later, no follow up. This sneaky pet fee, even if somewhere in the fine print should be disclosed prominently upfront as no one would choose a $90 room that really costs $190. And why disclose what parking costs and not pet fee which is over 6x more?

Although the location is convenient, the Residence Inn Courthouse is decidedly below Marriott standards. In pre-CoVid times, we had always been pleased with the Clarendon Blvd location (1 mile closer to Rosslyn), but that venue is no longer Marriott owned. You could get a hot breakfast there, but not so at the North Adams St location, which offers only “grab & go”. Bed linens are done only weekly. The room was hot and stuffy at night; the AC apparently not turned on. Our TV remote stopped working, and 3 calls/visits to the front desk were necessary to remedy the problem. Lobby is drab and un-inviting. Desk personnel cold and un-helpful. This facility is decidedly below Marriott’s usual standard. We’ll not return.
