Room ok and housekeeping ok. Airconditioner antique and noisy without cooling much. Reception impatient and unfriendly at times. Breakfast was included and has all expected parts and coffee was ok. Parking free. There was a communica, tion problem around shuttle movement, shuttle to underground station free.
We stayed here as we took our daughter to D.C. for her fall semester and internship. Everything about the hotel that we experienced was high quality. We were treated well by the front-desk staff. Free parking (a huge plus for us as we were traveling with 2 cars) was available. The room was very good size (2 doubles and a sofa bed suite) and very clean. It was within walking distance of the Metro Station to travel without driving. It was within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The breakfast selection was very good. Lots of items (hot and cold) to choose. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here when we go to pick up our daughter.
This was a very nice hotel. It's walking distance to all the shopping/restaurants in Ballston. Hotel also does provide a shuttle to the Ballston Metro station, which was reliable both times I took it. Hotel felt a bit old, but otherwise front desk was very friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was good. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
The design of the hotel stopped in the 60s. The receptionists don't know how to explain how to get to Washington, that's the minimum. Do not offer help with luggage for older people. Counter workers stand like statues, only know how to charge.
I had not stayed in a Comfort Inn for many years, and none this good. It is at least a 3.5 star hotel. The room was quiet and clean. It was well appointed. The beds were comfortable, each with four pillows. There was a console with a refrigerator and microwave. The HVAC was quiet and effective. There was a comfortable easy chair and desk chair, and a long desk. The room was just big enough for the furniture it held. The bathroom was on the small side, but nice enough with the usual shower tub. Toiletries are fairly minimal but adequate. Towels are large and soft. I didn't have time to sample the breakfast. Check-in was quick, but then it was midnight. I was put up here by Delta when they cancelled my flight, along with many others. I wasn't disappointed. I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.…
Arlington confort inn is Ghetto, smelly, dirty. My room smelt like cigarettes. No customer services. Staff is rude and can't speak English and won't try. I would have went somewhere else but company was paying for it.
Overall this was a lovely hotel and somewhere I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Free parking is a plus in this area, which is definitely not suburban-feeling although it's not in DC proper either. The hotel is a somewhat unique design, on a corner and wrapped around several sides of an above-ground lot and a single level of underground parking, both accessible for guests. Rooms were fresh and clean and well furnished. All the staff I interacted with were pleasant. I stayed for six nights and was quite comfortable. I did request a change of sheets for one bed midweek which never did happen despite the assurances of the front desk that it would, and our keys stopped working at two different occasions during the stay and had to be reissued -- based on what we saw from other guests, the key thing seemed fairly common. Breakfast was high quality and plentiful -- toast, bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, rotating hot foods (usually sausage and egg/cheese omelettes or an egg patty), two waffle irons w/ normal and strawberry batter, oatmeal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, various kinds of cereal + milk, doughnuts/pastries, and more. It was available right at the scheduled start time of 6:30am. Seemed to be fully restored to pre-COVID levels. The hotel has an hourly shuttle that runs to the Ballston-MU Metro station, which is otherwise an easy half-mile walk. The neighborhood is walkable and has many restaurants and bars that are just a few minutes from the hotel on foot. In a car, it's about 15 minutes from the hotel to the White House area. DC hotels tend expensive, and this seemed like a good deal for a solid stay in an accessible location. The few annoyances were minor and the benefits of this location were significant. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good price for a DC-area stay.…
My beautiful Suburban was "keyed" (scratched deeply with a sharp object) while parked in the lot with security cameras. The scratch is almost 20 inches long on the drivers side door.. The manager, Joann, didn't seem to care, she actually acted put off. She wouldn't let me view the security footage even though a policeman was present. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Upon entering the lobby we were greeted by a most pleasant gentleman who checked us in quickly. I believe his name was, Hebron. The next morning he greeted us and directed us to the lovely breakfast area where Anna had prepared a nice selection of foods. During our 4 night stay we were fortunate to speak with Parvin, James, Willie, and Hebron, who were most delightful and helpful in guiding us to local eateries for dinner as well as local transportation choices, and giving us information on Washington DC sights. This hotel is in a central location and we easily got around the city. The only issues we had with the hotel is that we had to ask 3 times to have housekeeping service our room. We had 4 nights worth of wet towels in our bathroom that should have been removed each day. It could have been due to short staffing in the housekeeping department as we saw but a few housekeepers. There were some minor maintenance issues with our room (a lamp & bathroom exhaust fan) but they were addressed quickly. We had an enjoyable stay and would definitely stay at this location again.…
This hotel was exactly what I needed. The #1 draw for me was the free parking as DC hotels are ridiculously priced for that. The metro stop is a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was a nice variety. My room was clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the DC area!
