I had booked this room just for a quick weekend in Athens, expecting to receive a descent room at a descent price. We checked in later in the evening, and felt like we were being an inconvenience to the family that runs the hotel by checking in later in the evening. It seems overpriced at what we paid for what we received amenity wise, I’ve had a nicer rooms in other areas for a much lower cost. The hotel is very dated, like you are back in the 1980’s. If they really want to bump up their ratings and reviews, they should update their overall decor of the building, remove the old classroom seats outside of each room, update the bathroom tiles and improve their customer service when the customer is in need of assistance or help.
It is definitely cheaper to stay here but there are no frills. Fridge & mike were nice surprise. Truck parking,as well. B/fast is a pot of coffee & some packaged muffin or other. The Indian family who run it are super kind & cordial. Unfortunately I found a condom package opened IN THE FRIDGE. EWWWWWWWWWW! I don’t know if the condom was used, but it might as well have been. I’ve stayed in many a hotel & have NEVER EVER seen that. O/wise quite clean. Somewhat recommended.Be blessed!
I looked at the reviews prior to booking and I always look at the positive rather than the negative and in this instance I am very glad that I did. This is a quaint place to stop. The rooms have had remodeling done, brand new linens. pillows and spreads. The furniture is new and the units have been painted in very warm and inviting colors. The carpets are very clean...I always hesitate to walk barefoot, but had NO reservations. The owners take pride in the cleaning of the rooms. I met the owners, husband, wife and 2 year old daughter who were pleasant and attentive. Suggested the Chinese restaurant down the street and they were spot on!!! They made it a point to ask more than once if I needed anything else. I HIGHLY suggest if you are looking for a clean and pleasant place to stay, this is a hidden gem! Don't let the outside fool you as it is an older establishment, the inside is what counts! Thanks for a great stay.…
This hotel was a nice out of the way place for my wife and I to stay while we were in town for a convention. The hotel is right next to a major highway, but I never heard a thing when the room door was closed. It is an older facility, but it has been kept up nicely over the years. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I would stay again if I'm back in the area.
I read the reviews before booking my room and I am glad I gave more credence to some of the positive ones. If you are a high maintenance type of person who tends to be critical of every little detail, then maybe this is not the place for you. If you are, like me, mainly interested in a nice, clean, economical place to stay while visiting the Athens area then this may be just for you. It may be dated, but it is clean, comfortable and has a staff that is friendly and helpful. It has easy access, away from high traffic areas, and the refrigerator and microwave was a welcome touch. I will not only recommend this to family and friends in the future, but I will also recommend it to myself.
