I like this simple hotel with super friendly staff and good breakfast, but there are some serious issues that need fixing. First and foremost, there is a terrible sewer like smell in some parts of the building, originally just at the bottom of the stairs (a contained area) which days later crept into my room, especially in the bathroom but also noticeable as soon as you walk in the room. It is for this serious issues (stink!!!) that I will not book here again. It seems that the foul aroma is either from a gross stream behind the property AND/OR sewer smells from coming out of floor drains. Other issues included a telephone that could bot be used to make calls because of bad static, 30 php charge PER HOUR to use hotel's hair dryer, no shampoo or conditioner supplied, no or ugly views from most rooms, non stop noise outside the windows, small TV, had to change rooms once because Tube TV remote would not work, sink stand was wobbly and couldn't lean on it at all. This property is OK for a night or two but would not recommend for longer stays. The staff here are great and try hard. The restaurant for breakfast and other meals is excellent with great value. There is evening live music in the restaurant from Wed to Sat. Parking is weird with a single lane driveway under the hotel with hard working valets making sense of the jigsaw puzzle. There is also an attractive bar on the roof top.…
I booked this hotel as i will be hosting a debut in their hummingbird restaurant. Room are basic with soap and toilet paper but no toothbrush and toothpaste. I upgraded my ruby room to emerald for a two single bed but found out that they attached the bed with each other, so whats the used of requesting two single bed then? The aircon was so cold and thats ok with me as my cold tolerance was high, but what about my companion? The blanket was really too thin so i ended up requesting another blanket for my mom. Because there's no remote to adjust the cold temperature. The breakfast was included in the room, and it's also a basic breakfast, a choice of american or filipino. No bottled water in the room but a mineral in a pitcher. Anyway , all the staffs are friendly and accomodating and that will do.…
the staff was very nice and house keeping was good also. this the hotel is great and very clean and i have stayed here 4 times and all is good , they take care of me i will stay here again. the food is ok and i like the the way treat me always like a VIP. one thing the aircon is noisy
I had to take the 4am bus to Baguio so I didn't have the chance to try the breakfast. Check-in and out was fast. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is cute, but the roof top is a must see. The penthouses are located on the roof top and make something worth looking and staying at (very different from rest of hotel). There are two bars. The food is a little pricey. There is a little restaurant 100m away that has cheap local food. I would go to Stone House BnB again to experience the Penthouse.
I check-in in Stone House with my colleagues as we are having a post-qualification evaluation in Manila. The hotel is not that spacious enough. You have to pass first with their restaurant before reaching their hotel concierge. Elevator is too small. Imagine, we're 6 of us then all of us used the elevator at the same time. We're like sardines in a very tin can. Nevertheless, room is good as well as lighting. It's just so funny that when we enter the room, the floor is so wet, as in wet, like I don't know, how the housekeeping people do the mopping there. So my roommate was the one who mop it again using a cloth provided by the hotel. Maybe, the hotel admin should properly train their staff on that. Wifi is available, intercon, TV, CR with bath, towels, etc. Over-all, I'll rate my accommodation here in Stone House, 3/5.…
Old, not so cheap for what you get , no HBO channels noisy aircon and no water kettle in rooms .... good : location friendly staff, I have had better places for same money — in ground floor is a nice restaurant with bar - that’s cool
Accommodation in the Philippines continues to display one consistent feature: that is a lack of value when compared to most other countries in SE Asia. (Obviously not including Singapore in that comparison!). But I’ve got to say that the Stone House is a value for money proposition. It’s a reasonable leave of comfort, and breakfast is included. The restaurant isn’t going to attract any Michelin stars soon, but it’s passable. Staff are pretty good. Especially the reception ladies. The bottom line is that this property represents good value for your peso, and you shouldn’t hesitate if the price appeals.
Very affordable with staff so very accommodating. The street was central and reasonably quiet; the room was very cozy, with perfectly-functioning air-conditioner, toilet, shower, and cable TV. Your room gets cleaned daily and the towel on you or bed is in a different design each day.
They put me in a room (room 208) where the aircondition waS dripping INSIDE the room....and the room had a certain mouldy odor. When i was to take a shower, the shower wasn't working. The next day they teansferred me to a better room. I would not recommend this place until they make some drastic improvements.
Recently visited the Philipines (Manila and Palawan), I came to this place with 0 expectations and yet they managed to lowered that. The day I made the reservation, I wrote to the Hotel and had specifically requested two rooms for 4 (2 adults and two children) 1 room one bed, for one adult, and the other two for the other adult and the kids. When I got to the hotel they had my requested there printed on paper with an OK on it, yet the refused to honor it. I ended up having to sleep on the floor, even when there were rooms available with two beds. No customer service, no sympathy no honoring a reservation request even when there were small children involved. The room itself was nothing to write home about, specially from the floor point of view. Breakfast was very simple. Wifi is ok, not the fastest but it does the trick. I chose this hotel because it was near my morning appointment and the traffic in manila is simply horrible. I should have chosen another place even at a greater distance. I would recommend that you stay somewhere else. Save yourself from the trouble. If you do decide to come here, make sure that you get a higher floor since they have loud (i mean loud) music playing from the bar until late or early morning.…
