Hotel needs improvement. Room is rather large but is There was smell coming out of the sewer in bathroom area, poor sound proofing because we can hear all night party music across club and very poor room/customer service.

I have stayed several times in Imperial Palace Suites for our workshops in our organization and I have observed that they have clean, spacious rooms and efficient housekeeping staff. The food however is always a repetition of the previous day's viands.
I like their penthouse and the free use of the gym. The pool is small and there is no shower room except for the toilet at the penthouse. I suggest they consider building a separate shower room for swimmers near the pool.

My cousins and I stayed from Dec. 5-7, 2016. When you first enter the room you think its great because it seems more spacious (stayed there annually from 2002-2008 when the rooms were still 2-bedroom configurations). Then you notice the furniture is scuffed and mismatched. But never mind that. When my nephew walked barefoot, one look at his feet and all you saw was black! The floors were that filthy! We asked that someone mop it up and it took 30 minutes before they sent someone over. We asked for extra towels and we were charged for extra. Here's the thing: it took FOUR (4) calls to Housekeeping and the Front Desk at 30-minute intervals before these were brought to our room. As it turns out, there was only ONE STAFF on call to service the Housekeeping needs of the entire hotel. How could she cope? The bathroom looked ok but you can't control the water temp. But the real pisser: THERE IS NO F & B OUTLET TO PROVIDE ROOM SERVICE. As in NADA. The 7-11 downstairs was closed. WHAT KIND OF AN OPERATION ARE YOU GUYS RUNNING? I agree with the other reviewer who calls himself Benedict U - standard really is getting lower! I would even say LOWEST and really really BAD. The staff still tried to smile and be nice but there's no denying this hotel is going to the dogs. That's the reason we checked out early. The only reason I didn't choose the neighboring Rembrandt Hotel was it doesn't have a pool. But even with a pool, this hotel sucked. Personally, I would blame all this on the owner, who wants to scrimp on services and facilities to make more money without thought to the guests' needs. As if she hasn't made enough money in with her potboiler movies. DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL, TRAVELERS! YOU CAN DO BETTER ELSEWHERE!

+1
The security was too focused on asking if you already have a room and wouldnt allow you to reach the front desk first.
Only 1 dilapidated elevator was working.
The hallway was poorly lit and smelled like old wood.
The room was ill kept. Stains on bedsheets and sofa sets like an old sweaty guy stayed there overnight. Disgusting.
No complimentary water.
Tv was too small and far away from the beds. It too was worn out.
No water heater.
Bathroom ceiling is full of stains.
Trash cans had no linings.
Employees were complaining of poor management and were sharing thoughts of quitting their jobs to guests.
No hotel supervisor / manager present during daytime.
No housekeeping present during night time.
Pool was tiny. Far cry from pictures advertised. Pool area had a bar area that was falling apart and even the shower room was not functional.
Wifi was zilch.
This hotel should be condemned. You're better off with clean motels in the area. Not your money's worth.
Attached pics of stains on ceilings, walls, and bedsheets.

I was very pleased with the Imperial Palace Suites. The lobby was very clean and the staff was fluent in English and very helpful. The free buffet breakfasts on the rooftop restaurant were more than adequate, and the rooftop itself also provided an excellent panoramic view of Manila. The club sandwich served in the evenings is one of the best I have ever tasted. My room on the 6th floor was perfectly clean and kept very cool by a continuously running air conditioner. I met the General Manager who spoke excellent English and was very cheerful and attentive as I provided suggestions for improving the service at the hotel, which actually did not require much improvement. I did have to be reminded not to sit on the front steps of the main entrance, which was understandable since they did not want copycatting by the locals. Restaurants and local television studios are nearby. Then there was Lanie, one of the hotel's 2 masseuses. For only 550 pesos (about $11 US at the time) she will give you a massage that will send you to heaven. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, you are permitted to access their massage service, and I strongly recommend you do so. It is an experience you will never forget. The only reason I didn't give this wonderful place an "Excellent" rating is to keep them humble and striving to do better. If you don't mind being some distance from Roxas Boulevard and Manila Bay, you would do well to book your stay with the Mercure Imperial Palace Suites.

Driving by this hotel back in Aug(2011),brought back my worst experience in traveling. We tried staying here back in 2008. As much as I tried to forget about this hotel, I feel compelled to let other travelers know what my wife and I experienced. My wife is from Quezon City Project 8, so it was near by her family's home. From the outside this hotel didn't look so bad...we were wrong. We checked in at 2pm and we had left for the day. Came back at 10pm and that's when everything went wrong.
When we got back to the room, I decided to take a hot shower...but no hot water. But I figure I can live with it since it's the philippines and a cold shower would be fine. The moment I turned off the water. I noticed all these "popping" sound(like firecrackers) and smoke everywhere coming from underneath the bathroom sink. When I looked it seems like there was a small "water tank" that some somehow water got into the electrical system. When I called the front desk they did NOT seem to worry about it to much. They eventually sent someone up to check. By this time my wife and I decided to check out(at 10:30pm), we had enough. Whe we got to the front desk they were NOT apologetic at all and they didn't even offer to switch us to another room, they probably figure we wanted to get out of there.
Things got worst. They tried to charge my wife and I for that day. I told them that I would stop payment on my credit card if they tried. I asked to speak to a manager. Since there were no manager on site, they called him at home(10:30pm). That's when I spoke with him. I had explained to him what had happened, and he was very apologetic and he told his workers not to charge us.
As a frequent traveler to the Philippines I've stayed at a few "3 Stars" hotel before so I knew what to expect. I understand their standards are way below the United States. But what I experience in customer service and quality of the Imperial Palace was something I would have never expected...it was the WORST.
Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst experience ever!!! I constantly travel and have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Philippines and abroad. I never blogged or write or even say ill of anyone but this was over the top and I have to at least share our horrendous experience to warn other people. Last Saturday, July 8, 2017, I stayed in the Imperial Palace Suites with my sister and my 4-year old niece. Got to the place around 6pm and to our surprise - the hotel was in a total power black out! They were the only one that didn't have electricity in the area. The hotel main door was closed and the staff and the guards did not allow us to come in, even with a little child. We had to look for places to stay and wait until they'd get the power back on. My poor niece was already falling asleep in the convenience store where we stopped to wait. After almost three hours, and a number of walks back and forth to check if power was back, finally we were able to go inside the hotel. Once inside, we still had to wait a while because they said their systems were still down and they couldn't give us any key card. Then after a while again we were able to finally go to our room only to find out that we got hoaxed by them advertising for 2 queen sized beds but the beds were actually just 2 double sized beds!! And it didn't end there, electrical sparks were coming out of the light switch so we had to satisfy ourselves with a poorly lit room. And wait there's more! The room obviously was not checked and prepared coz it didn't even have towels and slippers! And still it didn't end there, the toilet flush was not working properly!!! Called the front desk to express our discontent and asked if they had the decency to at least recover for the inconvenience they have caused us - the staff could only say sorry and could not decide on anything because the manager was not even around!!! Finally we could not bear to stay long and decided to check out early. It was the worst hotel I have ever seen and experienced in my entire life and that is without exaggeration! Do not be fooled by the nice photos they advertise.

Ok first of all my reason why i'm never going back cause our stay here is all about disappointments...my bf and i booked here for 5 nights. (i wished we believed all the negative reviews but we want to give it a try i guess?) First day of check in ok we brought our own stuff in the room from ground floor to 7th floor. Yes there's a cart for our luggage so we have to return it on our own back to the ground floor funny isn't it? By the way a 2 star hotel (grandprix hotel) has a better service than this one..At the lobby we were told that all their rooms are non smoking ones..so we entered the elevator (What a kind of elevator by the way) elevator is too old i guess. There's two but only one functioning... Elevator buttons already faded so you don't know which one to push. So when the elevator opened to 7th floor omg what an aroma of cigarettes..Then we reached our room looks clean..but omg no complimentary coffee..so glad there's at least a complimentary water..anyway I'm getting tired writing...i don't really write reviews but i just wanna share my experience here so that you all people who are gonna stay here in the future will be warned about it..
1. Prices for the rooms they said it's promotional by the way which you pay half the price (glad we paid it as half coz i don't think paying for the original price isn't even worth it) if ever we paid the original price for it which is a price same as luxent hotel i would really really complain. I think their promotional prices are forever they just say it's promotional so they can attract customers. (it's a trap!)
2. Complimentary waters oh yes thank you but wait they don't change it everyday unless you tell so..i asked for a complimentary water at 9pm cause i think they are supposed to put new ones everyday during room cleaning (which in cocoon hotel they change it everyday no miss!) so yea i asked for a complimentary water at 9pm unluckily the one over the phone said unfortunately they can't give me cause their water storage is already closed. So ok?
3. Bathroom amenities toothbrush..small soap..shampoo...they also don't put new ones unless you asked for it by the way I asked for new toothbrush together with the complimentary water...they said they can only bring the toothbrush..but oh well no toothbrush arrived..glad there's 7 eleven downstairs.
4. Room service like room cleaning is ok but yea in the room no menu (ask for one if you want)...no room signage for room service/do not disturb (maybe you have to ask one again?) so you have to inform the lobby if you want you room to be cleaned...the only good thing bout this hotel is at least they replace the towels.
5. Wifi? Ok glad i have my own data. But my bf doesn't have one so wifi password you have to ask everyday since they change the password everyday. Wifi is choppy and slow..i tried to use for 10mins but to irritation i changed back to my data since my data is even faster.
6. Room card key is only for the door...we got used on hotels that you need the card key for elevator as well as for power...but in this hotel you only need the card key for the door...so every power you use inside the room make sure you turn it off before leaving 😉.
7. First night total blocked out for like 15minutes or so...the emergency lights outside isn't functioning automatically i think....but after checking again outside woops it's working now..so the next day it did have electricity shortage.
8. By the way I started writing this review at 4:45am and its 5:26am now i can still hear the loud musics of clubs underneath here on the 7th floor.. (well what do you expect? There are 3 clubs namely Prime super club,Padis Point and Level superclub nearby this hotel)..so yea...haha
9. Whenever i wake up 2-3am i can hear loud noises of people's footsteps(laughs) and door slamming outside. Everytime the other doors closes you can here it inside the room...
10. Some services of the hotel is really really poor...but there are some point it is ok....like in the penthouse which they serve buffet breakfast the employee there are very attentive (maybe cause I'm the only person eating?) few guest checked in i guess and the rest are renting rooms already?
11. 5 nights of stay we never used the pool know why? Cause it's dirty!
12. No website..i asked bout it they said it's being fixed (i guess they can't pay for the maintenance anymore)
13. Ok I'm sleepy so the rest of my bad experience i think what i wrote is enough goodnight 😊
Ps: by the way since i don't really write reviews i even have to install TripAdvisor app so i can share my experience haha.

I spent two days of holy week back in the Philippines last April 19-21 in this hotel. The first night I used my complimentary night from Accor and the other I paid. I got the two bedroom classic suite which is the second priciest on the booking rate. I got this because I would be staying in with my family so a 2 BDR sounds comfortable for all of us. I paid approx. 4500 PHP for that room. And so the day came, we went to the hotel (the location is really a good one since it is around all the restaurants and bars in Quezon City) checked in and a snobbish looking bell boy assisted us (seems to be, their staff are not trained on good customer service). We opened the room and boy! I wouldn't want to step in further into the room!! It was really horrible! The wooden cabinets were cracked! The floor and bathroom tiles are what I hate the most, they were dirty!!! Seems like bacteria are all over the place. I booked for a stay for a hotel way prettier than my house room then I would get this? Immediately I called the receptionist about my disgust and they do not seem disturbed or bothered or concerned with what I was saying. (Maybe, they already anticipated that kind of reaction, haha). Having that concern, based from all the hotels I've stayed at (US, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia etc. etc.) when a customer has that issues tendency is they would give something to complement (complementary upgrade probably?), but they didn't! Instead, they told me the price is the same I do not need to top up and for the accor complimentary stay I just need to add 1000.) I hate it!!!! Then they transfered us to a deluxe suite, which I think is the only newly renovated room they have! Since we were there and would not want to ruin the stay, we just accepted that. In fairness the room now equals to a standard room of other hotels (but on their perspective, it's already a suite haha). So we just made the most out of the stay, here are other details:
- additional fee for bath towels etc if exceeding 2 pieces
- I asked four times for additional toiletries since it was the second night already, and boy! they seemed to have amnesia and wasn't able to provide it immediately, have to call again to get it which we did after nth number of calls.
- the elevator is creepy, old and not maintained (can you at least maintain this one?)
- the elevator again goes straight from parking lot to rooms! (security issue i guess) usually, hotels have lifts from parking to lobby then another for lobby to rooms to secure the guests.
- the staff would not greet you and worse, they look snobbish..
- we didn't avail of the breakfast because when we saw it during our stay at the pool, all the food looks dry and nothing special, better get breakfast from restaurants across the street
And so, what I conclude? I would never go back to this hotel and I think, based from all other reviews here, we're saying pretty much the same things. And yes, it is not worthy of Accor hotels membership, I regret using my complementary night here.
