Detailed Reviews

We had a great experience with Fersal Hotel Kalayaan from the moment we checked in. Although the entire staff were all commendable and respectful there are some particular employees really got my attention. The employees in particular are Jerry and Mae from the housekeeping team who made sure room is clean and sanitized. They all assisted us in every way possible, they are all very polite, helpful and with cheerful attitude same with their Operations Manager Mr. Jonathan who even granted our late check out request because I badly need an hour to wait for my sister’s business meeting. This simple gesture is a top notch. I can’t thank you enough for doing this for us. We’ll definitely be back!
Just have a one comment on the TV signal connection as we are unable to watch our anticipated show during our stay. Hopefully this will be fixed.
They all went above and beyond with their kindness, patience, thoughtfulness and professionalism handling each time on our inquiries, needs and requests. They are all an asset to this hotel, all of them should be acknowledged and recognized.
Overall the experience was pleasant and would definitely recommend it to others. Having a bible in the room is also a plus for this hotel ;)
Thank you again!
Regards,
Karlos

Located along Kalayaan Ave, this place is right in the middle of everything. Very near SM North Edsa, Trinoma, Heart Center, East Ave. Medical Center, U.P. Rates are affordable, rooms are clean, quite spacious and comfortable, albeit old. Has hot water shower. There's also a cafe downstairs. Another nice thing about it is that you can check-in anytime and the number of hours stay depends on your time of check-in. I recommend this place if you want an affordable place to stay in that's clean, comfortable and conveniently located.

I have stayed in this hotel twice: before and after it was renovated. Even before it undergone renewal, customer service is already good, polite and prompt staff. Plus it is a convenient because you can check in anytime.
After renovations, the hotel got even better. New furniture and good quality linens. Clean rooms.

The price for walk in is very expensive than on the website, worth Php700 is the difference online. No hot shower, no offered meals for the worth of Php2300 in just one night stay and guess what! we paid this in cash no certain explanation why credit card mode of payment is not working. Good thing here is clean.

I heard that this hotel is newly renovated,a complete renovation that is.If so,they did a good job coz the building and the rooms look brand new.The face of New Fersal Hotels indeed.I am referring to FERSAL HOTEL Kalayaan.
Fersal Hotel - Kalayaan, Diliman has 49 warm and welcoming rooms, each designed to maximize practical use of space and simplicity. Each fully air-conditioned guest room features modern amenities such as cable television, a mini-bar, telephone and a hair dryer. It also has a private toilet and bath with centralized hot and cold shower, a fresh supply of imported linen and towels as well as a daily supply of newspaper.
They have five (5) types of rooms, deluxe single, deluxe double, junior suite single, junior suite double and the newly opened honeymoon suites. We stayed in a deluxe single room facing Kalayaan street. It was a rather rainy day during that time so that again translated to a lot of cuddling.
At the ground floor is Inn Cafe. The design is posh and is well kept.I noticed that only a few people were there dining during our stay but the receptionists and kitchen staff were all busy.I then realized that they get a lot of orders but many of the guests prefer to have their food delivered in their rooms. That's very convenient indeed.
Due to the proximity of Fersal Hotel Kalayaan to many government offices, it is a favorite venue for smal to medium conferences as well. They have two function rooms to cater to that.
Fersal Hotel KALAYAAN is the face of transformation and a reminder that hotels owe to keep up with the demand for better, cleaner and functional accommodations. People are indedd becoming more and more picky and they know if the money they spend is not wasted.

My father booked a Deluxe Single Room from this hotel as he had a 5-day seminar in UP Diliman and this hotel seemed to be nearest to UP and to my place. Since he booked the room under the company's name, it was discounted.
Expected to be accommodated, we were dismayed to know that our reservation was not official. Our reserved room was given to the other guests, since they had the policy of "no downpayment, no reservation". We were offered a smaller room. My father said that when he called to reserve, he informed the caller about his situation as he's in the province and by no means can pay for the downpayment yet (oldies have no idea that they can pay thru bank), thereby he was assured of the room reservation. Good thing the receptionist felt that my father was about to erupt so he gave us a better room.
The hallways were narrow. We were assigned on a room behind the lobby which seemed to look like an apartment. The room looked normal and clean. A bit small for a room costing more than Php2500. It was a bit empty, with not so much facilities-- just a small table and chair and cabinet. The airconditioner and TV were remote controlled. The CR was not that spacious, but enough. There was no window. I don't think there's WiFi in the room. The breakfast was okay.
A big plus would be its accessibility to Matalino and Kalayaan where various restaurants are situated. It is also convenient to commuters.
All in all, just a typical hotel.

We had an overnight's stay at this hotel. As expected of a fersal we had no major issues. The place is getting old though but the staff are polite, food is fair and the room well cleaned. Nothing exceptional about this place, but a good option if you simply want a good night's rest.

Staying in Manila after arriving in the Philippines, the Fersal on Kalayaan worked okay. Free breakfast with stay was fine, but the wifi in the hotel was very disappointing.
On our return trip to Manila though, the hotel screwed up our reservation, so we ended up at a sister Fersal location elsewhere on our return.

Staff ok, polite and corteous, stayed for 11 nights, our room wasn't clean properly, shower was filthy dirty esp. the shower curtain, shower was blocked so while having a shower the dirty water stays on your feet then when you finish your wiping dirty water w/ your towel that you're suppose to save for the next day. towel was stained we got charged for 360pesos for a lousy towel, a bit rough!
