Stayed 4 nights in this hotel this week. Got the premier room for only 1,480 a night thru Agoda...king bed, small TV, small bathroom, slippers, safety box, hair dryer, toiletries, complimentary bottled water, and newspaper (1 time)... really hard to complain especially with free buffet breakfast for 2. Window-type aircon was cool and clean. The only downside i can think of is the room does not have a window. Behind a curtain is a glass but too dark to see behind it. Could be facing a wall of the glass windows was just sort of decoration. nobody fixed the room on the 2nd day until i requested for it. must be upon request, but i dont know. i saw a couple litte buggers(small cockroaches) crawling on the floor but no biggie, cost them a star. But still i would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Ps. Great location just at the corner of T.Morato and Timog Ave. their restaurant serve great bistek tagalog and bulalo and is open 24hrs

We booked here for 1 night in room "suite2". Overall, it's pretty decent for the price.

Let me start with the pros. The building itself is not hard to miss. It's located near the circle island of Tomas Morato and Timog Ave. and has a huge banner. Then there's a mall nearby with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Our room was spacious and covers about all the basic needs: hairdryer, slippers, tv, a safe, toiletries, and water-heater for drinking. The bed we had was ok too. Not that soft though. Breakfast was included in our stay and it's quite delicious (tocino, egg, rice and ice tea). Staffs are very accommodating.

For the cons: the bed was quite dusty. A few minutes after we settled in and laid on our beds we caught the scent of "dust" causing me and my gf to trigger our rhinitis. Despite that, room service (which responded quickly btw) managed to change our bed linen. We just thought that maybe our room was not maintained or was used for a few days. In the morning, we had to call for our breakfast even though they already took our orders and what time for them to serve it the night before. Lastly, for those health conscious, the water heater has dark metal rust in it. So if you're thinking of having a coffee or a hot chocolate drink at night, you might think it over.

To sum it up, if you're on a tight budget and quality isn't an issue, then this hotel is a go. The rates are low and the rooms are pretty decent. You get what you paid for.

Their policy was supposed to be, "All users must wear proper swim attire when entering the pool area.". But to my surprise, there were these group of ladies who were wearing "maong shorts" in the pool. I asked 2 of their staff members to confirm if it's really allowed to go dipping in the pool with those attires. And without hesitation, both of them said yes. The housekeeping guy even told me that there's no actually rules in this hotel. And so I went back to our room and called the front desk to ask again if what I've heard from their housekeeping was right, and she said yes too. Everything in this hotel could have been just fine if they knew how to strictly implement this simple common policy to their guests. I am really disappointed!

This hotel was my first impression of Manila & the Philippines. Sadly, there's some making up to do.

First, the room. When I walked in, the porter was very kind and set up the television and air con. Yet, looking around, the lighting was yellowy-and-pasty. The window faced a cement wall, so there was no view. At all. I had no idea what time was, ever. And the shower-water was always tepid at best, though I preferred ice cold water for the showers.

But for me, the crux of the matter was what happened at the end of my time in Manila. The moment I checked into the hotel, I asked for a shuttle back to the airport in two day's time. They told me that the best they had was not a shuttle (which was advertised) but rather, they would book me a taxi. So that is what I had asked for.

The next evening, the evening before I left, I asked the front desk how much the taxi would cost. They told me a price range and said, "we'll see you at 6:30 tomorrow morning."

Tomorrow morning came, and I had approached the desk the check out and asked about the taxi. Since it was 6:15, I was told to get breakfast and that "We'll get you when it arrives."

By 7:10, it hadn't arrived.

Approaching the desk, I asked them about the taxi, and the poor woman at the desk--her face blanched.

They didn't book me a taxi.

So I said, "my flight takes off in two hours. Today is Monday and we're in the middle of QC. I wish it wasn't this way."

Within two minutes my taxi had arrived.

I was thankful for the taxi. Yet the stresses caused by this story is unnecessary.

Overall, my experience with Icon was rather poor. The room was unwelcoming and humid, and the desk was irresponsible.

I really wish my experience with Icon wasn't this way. I don't know if I will ever willingly visit Manila again

I stayed in this hotel last Sep 11-13, 2016 and opted for a suite room hoping that I can have a great room for myself and family. When I entered the so called "suite room" I noticed that the bathtub was leaking like a mini river even without using it yet. I hve noticed that the caulking was so broken and worn out where water sipped through the entire bathroom floor concentrated around the toilet bowl base. I immediately called the attention of the roomboy and gave me dilapidated towels to wipe the wet floor, not enough though. Then I called the front desk and told about the situation for the 3rd time before they sent a utility man to do "band aid relief" filling the gaps between the entire tub and the walls using a kind of caulking that smells like annoying vinegar. That triggers my allergic rhinitis at that time. In addition, the shower faucets were so broken that you cannot be able to use hot water. The telephone shower doesnt have a dock which you cannot use it as an overhead piece. In addition, the bathroom door lock and latch were not working, therefore no privacy at all. Front desk were informed multiple times but no further actions have happened. The bathroom floor was still wet and the bathroom door was broken during our entire stay.

This is the funny part. When I checked out, it happens that the manager was there and I ariculated my concerns. To my surprise, she told me (in an irritated/upset tone of voice, hormonal maybe because she is pregnant) "Why you did not tell me?". Sounds like the blame is now on me. Then I said... "It is not my job to chase and tell you personally the problems of your hotel... I already told your staff multiple times and it was their job to get you informed or it could have been better if you ask your staff on a daily basis of what was going on. I am totally disappointed."

The pregnant manager did not stopped there. "Mr. L, she uttered, can we go back to the room and check out the extend of the defects?" "That is crazy". I replied, "Are you serious? I am catching a flight, running out of time, and you want me to spend sweet time doing the room inspection with you? Why don't you bring your staff with you and teach them that those concerns in the rooms should be taken seriously. Should myself or one of my family memebers tripped in the washroom then we will spend a good sweet time in court".

Post mortem: As adverised, Iconic Hotel Timog offers respite and comfort of a boutique hotel. Unfortunately, this is not true because what I had was descrepit and discomfort experience from them.

Definitely will not come back: ICONIC FAIL !!!

This new Icon Hotel in Quezon City is very family friendly. Quick check in, clean rooms, average restaurant service. Basement Parking available. Very accessible. Located in the heart of restaurant row in this location.

I've stayed here with my wife because she wanted to have a short staycation and swim. Got disappointed with the pool, no wonder that room was empty. Jacuzzi wasnt running and even the sauna and steam bath was in need of repair or maintenance. The room we stayed at also is pretty basic. Bathroom is small, they only have 3 pillows which are not comfortable as well. The comforter is not even a comforter, it is a bed sheet put on top of the original sheet. No view at all even though it is on the 6th floor and we even requested that on the booking itself.

Breakfast was a disappointment too. Not too many choices on their buffet. I love the eggs, though i could make that at home too.

If you need a stay for the night, this hotel would do. But if you're looking for something else, then dont book here.

The good thing about this hotel is that it has just been constructed. However, the service was so poor. There was no aircon in the hallway, busted fire detector that keeps on beeping, clogged toilet. The door of the bathroom hits the lavatory so you cannot use the lavatory with the door opened, you have to go in first close the door and use the lavatory. They also have annoying staff that keeps knocking on your door, in other hotels you will just receive a phone call if there's anything the front desk needs to remind you.

I was supposed to check in at Red Planet Timog but since there's no parking avail, i tried ICON hotel.

1) Check in/check out-was fast.

2) Room-i got the Evita Peron icon room. The room is spacious and has cabinet for my bag. The bathroom has a descent space for bath with free toiletries. The bed was quite hard for me which i had hard time getting a good sleep. Whats worse is the voices of the staff cleaners at the lobby woken me up due to very thin walls of the room.

3) Parking-free secured parking.

4) Customer service-i must say they should improve.

5)Location-centrally located. Walking distance to tomas morato.

For me sleep is very important. And because i didnt get a good sleep because of their hard bed and noisy staff, i dont think i can recommend ICON Hotel as an accommodation at QC/Timog.

I booked in this hotel via phone call. The staff was courteous enough but as usual they needed the data for a credit card in order to assure the booking but when I receive the email it was immediately credited and it was not refundable.
The taxi which I hailed from airport knows the hotel and I arrive safely. The lobby staff are courteous but they let me stay until 2 o’clock since I arrive around 12 pm because it is there check in time. When I enter the room I was dismayed i never expect with the price of the room to be this small. There are no much amenities and furniture. The of the cabinet went off upon opening. The complement is the personal information of Brooke shields written on the glass door of the toilet. When you are using the toilet you will be reading it backwards.
When we went to restaurant we see the menu and order their main course and other. Well it took us 30 mins to wait but they say it earlier. When the food arrive it look sumptuous. The dismay comes in the wAiter. They did not have complete utensils. No serving spoon no bowl no waiter around. I went to the lobby to ask for assistance afterwards the waiter is nowhere to be found to ask for a spoon since i have no spoon only fork. Anyway the management should look into this. Many issues to improved.

As far as I know there is no shuttle service going to NAIA. Transfers to and from the hotel is arranged by guest themselves privately. Your best bet is take a cab or Uber but be mindful that traffic in Manila is so crazy. Remember that Icon Hotel Timog is located in Quezon City which is in fact far from Pasay City where NAIA is located. Time is of the essence, be prepared.
