Enjoyed my stay at the Amelia hotel good location, super friendly staff, gym, nice rooftop pool with sun loungers table chairs.
Good location near Robinsons mall plenty of resturants, walking distance to Rizal park and manila baywalk which can be seen from rooftop.
Room was fine good size, bed comfy, shower spacious, breakfast room was nicely layed out food ok, sercurity outside of hotel area can be a bit unpleasant but i had no problemd.
Distance from airport was around 30 mins theres a grab taxi stand outside the terminal doors i paid 380 peso avoid the other taxis who over charge.
One negative of the hotel is the wifi i stayed on the 10th floor and it was very slow and kept dropping out and the connection was not much better in the lobby area very poor for an hotel of this standard.
I would only return to the Amelia hotel if the wifi was better.

Central location for many of the historic sites of Manila. Walking distance to Museums, The renovated Zoo, the Fort and the Intermurals. The hotel is very close to the Robinson Mall as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the included breakfast and found it tasty and well stocked. We had diner at the restaurant one night, and the servers was very helpful in explaining some of the local favourites. He assisted us in our selection,; the meal was delicious and great value.

Nice Hotel within a easy accessible area to many shops and shopping mall. The Rooms are big and clean and the pricewise according to me, i find it worth it. They also take safety of the guests to be very important at all times.
Staffs are all well trained and very polite towards all the guests.

The hotel reception is very bad and they do not respect the guests, especially the one called “Ian”. I asked him to give me a quiet room, but instead he gave me a very noisy room. I could not sleep because of that and had to check out early, the day before my reservation expired. In respectable hotels, when a guest complains about a disturbance in a room the hotel changed it for him to a quieter room or he is compensated or at least apologized to him, while in the “Amelie hotel” the guest is disrespected and spoken to in an absolutely unprofessional and unfriendly manner. It was noted that the disturbance was coming from 3 sources: the neighboring rooms, the renovations outside the hotel in the building, and the noise of cars on the street that the room faces.

The hotel works according to the mood of the receptionist. Sometimes they ask for a deposit for the room and sometimes they do not. I booked it within a week. The first time they did not ask for a deposit and the second time they asked for it! It was terrible, and in addition to that, the paint was peeling off in the bathroom in the room.

Breakfast buffet has no cheese from any type and has only one bread type ! It didn't happen even in one-star hotels!

The internet service was cut off after the first day, despite my reservation for two days, which forced me to get a new password from the bad-mannered receptionist!

The hotel does not appreciate the importance of guests and relies on a one-time guest, thus losing frequent guests due to the unprofessionalism of its reception staff.

So this place was nice. The staff was accommodating & pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable every morning. Somewhat meager, yet surprising sufficient enough. I wish the choices were better. But, there were a lot of roach-looking bugs in the dining area most days I went to breakfast. I saw some crawl on the breakfast rolls on the table.

At the end of my stay, the front desk accused me of stealing towels. The housekeeping only put one set in my room on the last night of my stay since they knew I was staying there solo.

I'll be checking my credit card bill just to make sure no funny charges come up...

I won't be going back & I don't recommend the hotel due to the erroneous accusation. Extremely rude of them to do & done in very poor taste.

I found the Amelie Hotel Manila to provide excellent accommodations and amenities during my 7 night stay. With a little attention this hotel easily could be rated as a four star hotel, but no doubt is a qualified full 3 star rating. The hotel room was clean, everything was in good working order and amenities provided were welcomed, especially the daily free two bottles of water. Another commenter mentioned the need for more water, but apparently never asked housekeeping for additional bottles. Each day I asked the front desk on my return for two extra bottles and they willingly provided me all the bottled water I requested.

Housekeeping was good about daily quality cleaning of the rooms. In fact, I found all staff in the hotel extremely friendly, willing to be of service and helpful from the front doormen, to the desk clerks, restaurant staffs and cleaning crew. I just love them.

I ate my meals at the hotel during my seven night stay and enjoyed every serving along with their wine selection. I found their prices reasonable. I enjoyed the Wi-if service while dining to catch up on news happening back home on the mainland.

The rain shower is great, but as another guest noted there is no hot water, but only warm water. I prefer hot showers. The room cooling system worked fine and the bed was comfortable.

The location is great. If one wants to experience fully the richness of the local cultural flavor of Manila then you have it as soon as you walk out the hotel lobby doors. There are excellent restaurants, bars, salons all around in the neighborhood.

The Wi-fi connection and service is reliable, consistent and good. My only gripe about their Wi-fi is having to log back into the system each time one uses it. I prefer hotels where you always are logged into their system as soon as you return, get up in the morning, or leave your room to go downstairs for breakfast and not have to re-log again in the restaurant.

I have no complaints about the hotel's breakfast. The breakfast selection was not extensive, but certainly adequate. The food was good. There was cereal (although no bran cereal), soups, small selection of melons, salads, pancakes, bacon and eggs, etc. The orange juice seemed more an orange drink and not real juice from oranges. Again, not an extensive breakfast selection, but more than adequate.

The hotel is quality all the way around for the value one pays to stay. I recommend it highly. If you seek value for the money paid, along with quality and service, then you will not be disappointed. Also, if you seek active night-life all you have to do is walk out the hotel lobby doors and it begins immediately. An active, rich cultural and warm Philippine hospitality awaits you.

A NEW VERY COMFORTABLE AND WELCOMING HOTEL CLOSE TO SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS. The room was terrific. The ladies on the Front Desk are delightful and caring and did all they could for me. Dianne went out of her way to make my visit memorable. It is a pleasure to visit them. All of the staff are constantly helpful and polite.
