I had my brother check-in here for the new year because of his 1month old kid. The first room given to them was small and you won't see anything from the window. We requested for a room with a view and they were given the room along
kalaw St. The new room was bigger and better. The staff were very accomodating. They even had more firecrackers to celebrate the new year than those big shot hotels nearby.

The hotel is in center of manila and near by rizal park. You can move easily within the city without taking taxi. The hotel may be a good staying for those having less budget. Over all rooms are good and services are also welcoming.

Nothing special about this chinese hotel...more cons than pros...esp if you dont like smoke smell everywhere including towels, bad old airconditioners on the floor etc. Bed itself isn't bad, missed the breakfast as they serve it only between 7-9am!!!

We were staying in this hotel only one night, but collected many bad impressions. Only lobby looks good and free wi-fi there.
Room was dirt and smels like cockroach killing fabric... Furniture was very old, bed-cloth was grey color with a fat stains (it was white may be 30 years ago).
I would not recommend this hotel for anybody.

This hotel has a great location: few steps away from malls, restaurants (like Jollibee, KFC, Starbucks, McDonald's...), historic tourist spots and even LRT (Light Rail Transit) station, which connects to MRT (Metro Rail Transit) and all other important places. It's cute and booking via email worked fine.

I got a "Mabuhay" room (the cheapest) and it was cosy enough with aircondition and TV. Plumbing was OK.

The breakfast is fair enough: Continental breakfast with 2 slices of toast, butter, strange kind of jam and coffee/juice.

Some dislikes: The hallway is smokey/smelly (so was my room) and the faucet in kind of a delicate state: every time I turned on cold water, there appeared a cockroach. A few bugs here and there. The staff was a bit preoccuppied... hey, if you're gonna chat on Yahoo! during work, at least turn off the sound, would ya?!

All in all: Fair deal at about $18/night.

I work a few steps from the hotel and hubby and I decided to spend the night here just for kicks because I need to be in the office early the next day. The room was a lot better than I thought because I had low expectations. At least I didn't encounter problems like the aircon conking out or the water heater not working. Having said so, there's really nothing outstanding about this hotel. It is just a place to spend the night in. We got two coupons for the free breakfast and it was nothing great, just a plated meal of Filipino food. It actually felt like we were in the office canteen or something. The best thing about this hotel I guess is the location. There's a big park you can walk to (Rizal Park) and if you want to eat because you can't stand this hotel's food, there are lots of fastfood chains and restaurants nearby.

I was staying for several days. First, it was hard to access wireless internet. So I usually went to a big hotel in front of this hotel. And there is a shopping mall near the hotel. You can walk about for 5 minute to the mall. Pretty modern and comfortable. Massage is also good on 2nd floor. And there is a convenience stoor on the way the mall. You will buy some neccessities and some snacks for break time. You will take a walk in Rizal park just across the street in the morning. Sometimes wifi is active on ground floor but I don't think it is a good idea.
