Don’t be fooled with their nice lobby and restaurant because the rooms are terrible. I booked a superior room (wanted to relax b4 going back to our home but they gave me and my boyfriend a lot of stress). They gave us a dirty room and the employee said it is their best room. The bedsheets are not fresh, their is a small cockroach in the toilet, the water was not going up during showering and the worst part is you cannot upgrade to their grand superior room because they said “first the Manila lotus old building must be fully booked first” and why they did build the other building. (I doubt, there is no other building) I was willing tp pay for more comfort and they didn’t accommodate us. At night before going to be everything was itchy. I saw my legs red and we thing that i got bed bugs allergies because of their unfresh bedsheets and matras. The hotel looks and feels that we are in year 70. The lobby was modern but the rooms are really tereible and old. I complained and they offered a room with 2 single bed and along the street side. We just said yes because it was already 12:15 midnight and we thought it was a better idea to move from the dirty room but we didn’t realized that Ermita was such a busy place and we can hear almost every car passing by. IT’S NOT WORTH THE MONEY, because we paid a lot more. We tried Hop Inn hotel ermita, much cheaper and super clean. We are not recommending Manila lotus Hotel at all. Instead of relaxing we just got super stress. The next day i talked to the front desk manager and they gave me an upgrade, she was really understanding and considered are situtaion. She gave us an upgaded, I paid 840 per night more but the room was still the same style, almost the same bed & comfort room but with a kitchen in it we didn’t even used. Yes it was clean and fresh. Furthermore the employees are super nice and accommodating. I understand it’s out of their control that the rooms are old. We can barely with a lot of things, but the first night was just not okay. We were so tired and just wanted to rest but instead we got super stressed.

What get what you pay! Clean and very central, good location and close to everything you may need. Also very close to the airport which is always a plus for short stays. Hotel staff very kind and helpfull if needed. I would definitely stay there again.

2nd visit to Manila Lotus Hotel ended up with me being accused of stealing a face towel, and reception staff demanding a 150 Php payment. After 5 night stay, then finally getting new towels on last morning, I handed young lad 2 large towels and 2 small towels, the room had not been cleaned during our stay. At 12-45pm upon checking out, reception staff wanted to have the room checked. Then I was accused of stealing a hand towel and have to pay 150 PHp. The reception staff said if I did not pay they would have to pay, due to policy of hotel management. I invited them to check our luggage, the young lady continued to say there was a towel missing, I asked her several times if she was accusing me of theft. I invited her to go through our luggage, she declined, but still insisted I had to pay 150Php herself. I told her whoever wrote the policy should be sacked. I have never had this happen anywhere else in the world. Sorry Manila Lotus I will not be returning, I have cancelled our return booking later in November for 1 week, you have left a bad taste in my mouth. My wife is still upset at us beig accused of stealing a hand towel!

This was a revisited occasion. The room I was told was a superior room, it was very small. It was not like before. We had a strange call from reception asking me to tell my guest to leave, this was gone 10.15pm and the only person with me was my wife. This could of been a big problem, so we both got dressed and went to reception only to be told that they rang the wrong room . I asked for an extension of stay for my room as we had a late flight of which I paid for only for housekeeping to knock on the door asking for us to check out at 10AM, so another trip to reception was needed. I don't think that we will return.

Manila lotus is a very nice hotel. Located 3 k from Intramuros and central Manila. 5 mins walk from the US embassy. It has to be reminded this is a 3 star hotel. All functions work hot water air conditioning and toilet facilities. I had no issues with the room in fact my sons friend came to stay with us unexpectedly and it was no issue we paid a small fee and they upgraded us to a bigger room. The breakfast was great they catered for local Asian food and American breakfast and it was very plentiful. For the price I would thoroughly recommend Manila lotus and we will be going back next week for a few days at the end of our trip. Lastly I have to say the staff are brilliant they were extremely attentive and very welcoming. A big shout out to Roxy, Jes and Neil who helped us with guides, suggestions and answered all our questions and overall made our stay very enjoyable!

Manila Lotus Hotel is well placed in a part of Manila that I particularly love. Being situated right by a variety of key places of interest that for me make this hotel perfectly situated. Firstly you are close to the Manila Bay beach and that makes a huge difference. The space and open water can really give you a welcome break from the busy and frantic streets of a very chaotic city. Secondly you have the lovely Rizal Park right by the hotel. Again it’s so wonderful to be able to walk in the park and enjoy this valuable green space. Then the most wonderful attraction is the incredible Intramuros district that is close by. This is the old walled historic town, which is simply fascinating. In addition you have the whole city to explore just the other side and a huge Robinsons Mall close by giving you the much needed restaurant and shopping options. So the position of the hotel is perfect for me. The most impressive element of this hotel is the excellent and friendly service from the hotel staff. One would think that good service is given in The Philippines, known for the famous friendliness and the easygoing nature of the people. But sadly this is not always the case and especially in very touristy areas. But pleased to declare that the hotel staff were simply wonderful. They dealt with all my questions and needs at any time of day. All other interaction with the staff was pleasurable and I felt very welcome indeed. They were simply lovely. I would particularly like to mention Gerald who works on the front desk. He never ceased to amaze me with his insight and knowledge of the city and the country in general. He was constantly offering ideas on what I could see and do. I would like also to mention the great security men on the door who dally kept an eye on me as I left the building with my very expensive camera giving advice on my security. They genuinely cared for me. The service was exemplary and I will return for sure. The room was small but cozy with good functional shower with good pressure and hot water. I had a view of the street and good TV. I feel given the location and the quality of the room at the price I paid was all well and good. I enjoyed an extensive breakfast each morning with all you could possibly want from a buffet. For anyone wanting to stay in a fascinating part of Manila and want an element of luxury and comfort at an affordable price I can recommend The Manila Lotus hotel.

Booked 4 nights during March 2023, one night (STD room) when we flew in and for 3 nights ( Kitchenette, which I highly recommend) prior to flying out. Had booked the accommodation through bookings.com (effortless and so easy).. a few staff changes over the past years, but those who remained on site remarkably remembered us by name as we entered after some years being away. The breakfast buffet was acceptable, and all enjoyed. This hotel is still very much value for money and is, in my opinion, highly recommended for those stopping over in transit while in manila.

This was my first time back in Manila and at Manila Lotus Hotel since early 2020. I stayed a total of 7 nights (1n, then 5n, then 1n) in a Superior Room, as my base in Manila and in between travelling to other locations. It suits me to stay in the Ermita/Malate area and, given that, this has been my go-to hotel for a number of years. The area itself is a bit rough around the edges, but its close walking distance to Manila Bay/Baywalk, Rizal Park, the large Robinsons Mall with loads of eating and shopping options, other eating and entertainment options I like such as G Point, Cowboy Grill, and yes even Jollibee. The historic Intramuros is only about 25 mins walk. All interactions from reservation, through check in, buffet breakfast, housekeeping, general reception/enquiries, security/door staff and check out were excellent. Always friendly, helpful and efficient, including for some specific requests I had about my room allocation, booking me a grab etc. Great people experience. Superior Room - for me is good value for the price point. Clean, in good order and all expected items provided and working. I like some of the Filipino touches too, which add a little personality, such as the lamp bases. Breakfast buffet was included in the room price and for me was good. A lot of Filipino options but also fruit platter, vegies, toast, cereal, pancakes and an egg station to cook fresh eggs or an omelette. Nice start to the day in a nice setting and friendly, helpful staff. Common hotel areas - within the hotel is a nice place to be, all in good order and nicely setup. Overall a great stay.

There are cheaper hotels around the area but I chose to return to Manila Lotus Hotel as I'm familiar surroundings. Greeted by the security guys who double as doormen with a warm "Welcome Back Sir". Check in process went along just fine with the usual refundable P1,000 security deposit. Was assigned Room 318 (3rd floor) as the elevator was being serviced (it remained out of service for 3 days) Had help with lugging my baggage up to the room. Note, this is now a non-smoking hotel. Room Clean, bed comfy and air conditioner works fine. TV also works. Amenities Instant coffee and tea bags with sugar and creamer with a hot water kettle, small refrigerator. 2 glass tumblers and 2 sets of cup and saucer. Restroom Hand lotion and soap dispenser and Hair Dryer at the sink and shower had Bath Soap and shampoo dispenser. Toilet Paper and bidet available It used to be that the rooms also came with 2 bath towels and 2 face towels, now there's only 2 bath towels. Also little things like dental and shaving kits are only made available upon request from the housekeeping people of front desk. Food - Breakfast buffet that comes with the room is still good, but I did notice that they had cut back on food options. Didn't see any bacon during my whole 9 day stay. Also the iconic Mr. Vic is no longer there to greet everyone and anyone with his infectious smile and warm personality. The only thing that bugged me is that on 3rd Sept after there was quite a heavy downpour, I returned to the room late at night I found a puddle of water between the window and bed. Apparently there's a leak somewhere, the only thing that housekeeping could do was to towel dry and leave towels by the wall next to the window. All in all a good stay, but will be checking out other hotels for my next visit to Manila

I booked thru agoda but upon checking in they could not find my payment so until this was resolved they kept us waiting in the lobby. They first have to check with their sales dept and of course it all takes time. I asked can we just check in while they sort this out. Not possible the reception said so ask for manager. Well manager nowhere to be found. Kept waiting until they said its my problem and i have to deal with agoda though its their agent while i have a confirmation from agoda that its paid. I could not find the tel number of agoda so i ask the reception if they can contact agoda which they finally did upon my request. Its a bit strange as agoda confirmation said its paid and lotus garden hotel said its not paid. It should not be my problem. Whatever the issue is just let me check in. They dont allow. You can have my cc, id or whatever. No they did not let us check in. 1,5 hour later it turned out my cc was not charged indeed. But all the time they kept us waiting while we just could have stayed in the room. I understand there is a protocol but where is the manager. If there is an issue they just can call me in the room. Its also funny that i had to pay 15 pct more for the room than agoda confirmed to me as they swiped my credit card again. But after 1,5 waiting i got tired of the issue. If you expect some customer service better go somewhere else. The shower has no water pressure but i dont care about the room but an ear where i can bring up an issue. So i just talked to the restaurant manager ( nice person) but she is not in charge. Since i could not find anybody to talk to i have to resort to tripadvisor.
