My family just completed our trip to the Philippines and spent 6 nights in two bookings at the Sheraton Manila Bay hotel. The hotel situates in the Korean town and is only 5-minute walking distance to the Robinson mall. In my two separate stays, the rooms were not over-the-top luxurious but were spacious, clean, and well stock with good amenities and quality toiletries. What I really want to highlight is their top notch & attentive in-person greeting and services from the security and reception to house keeping, swimming pool, and Pacific lounge. All workers were friendly, welcoming, and authentic. For example, I brought my empty water bottle to the Pacific Lounge for breakfast and the worker filled my bottle with water and ice. Whenever I exited the elevator, the workers always greeted me with a smile and a warm "mabuhay" gesture. The hotel fully recognized my titanium status and approved my suite night upgrade, offered complimentary breakfast and pre-dinner buffet for two, and provided late checkout option. Despite not having a lounge, the pre-dinner buffet offered excellent value for enjoying small bites like a happy hour. For someone like me visiting from the US, the breakfast at this hotel is more of a full meal FEAST with sushi, salad, rice, local Filipino dishes, 20 different types of pastry, omelet station, noodle bar, etc. A potential recommendation is to setup a coffee pot where we can get our own black coffee. It would also be nice if we could enjoy some local tropical fruit besides the typical melons that are available everywhere around the world. We fully enjoyed our stay at Sheraton Manila Bay and will stay there again in the future. It was truly delightful to see that this wonderful hotel got crowded towards the end of June when we left. We truly hope that the ease of COVID restriction will boost the tourism and business travel for the Philippines.…
I chose this hotel for my stay in Manila based on the majority of excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and being a Marriot Platinum Elite member. I stayed for a total of 2 weeks at this hotel on 3 occasions as I visited different Provinces in the Philippines. Over all, the staffs were always very friendly and helpful. I must give Kuddos to Czrina San Juan and Krisan at Pacific Lounge. They represent the Marriott Bonvoy Corporation well with their professionalism and grace. I must add Ms. Kyna and Sarah Grace who always went beyond their assignment to make my stay enjoyable with great customer services. The hotel is in a good location with easily access to restaurants, bars and the Robinson Mall. Tourist sites in the old and new town are a short inexpensive taxi ride away with metered cabs. On my 3 different stays I was given upgraded rooms. The rooms had all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The WiFi worked well with go strength. They equipment in the gym was a bit dated but adequate. I enjoyed the menu at breakfast buffet. However, the temperature of the cooked meats were only warm at at times. I think the cooked meats should be always hot.…
Nestled in the heart of Manila is this property surrounded by the hustle and bustle of one of the densest part of this giant city by the bay. Seemingly out of place from its underserved surroundings, once you step into this Sheraton, it’s like stepping into any other Sheraton in the US (besides the tight security at its entrance). Once you get past the construction of its new breakfast area, the lobby is very clean and well lite. The front desk was friendly and very professional. They immediately noticed my Platinum Elite status and upgrade my room to an Executive Suite on the 17th floor with a nice view of the city. They also extended a late check out which ended up not using because of my flight the next day. Taking the elevator gives you a bird’s eye view of the city as it takes you to your floor or at the restaurant located in the top/21st floor. You also get to see the nice outdoor pool on the way up (which I was not able use due to a busy schedule). The room was very clean and felt newly renovated. The beds very comfortable, pillows plush, and the sheets crisp. There was a nice business desk made the specifically for the business traveler with all the necessary accessible plug ins for all your devices. Because of my status there was a gift basket of fresh fruits (orange and mangos) that were delicious. The room is complete with HDTV, coffee maker, safe, and small fridge. You also get complementary bottled waters each day. The bathroom has its own small HDTV, bathtub and separate shower with great water pressure! Large shampoo, body wash and conditioner is also available so no need to bring your own. The restaurant at the top floor served cocktails and fingers food starting at 6pm where you can wind down after a long day. It is also where the breakfast buffet is located which starts 7am in the morning. The buffet consist of a juice bar, fruit station, omelet station, ramen noodle bar, butcher block, several warm breakfast choices, and a selection of Philippine entrees. Coffee is available upon order and service was very friendly. Note that there is also a nice coffee shop at the lobby that served good coffee. There is an ATM outside the hotel, but still within the hotel premises so no need to venture off to get cash which made me feel safer. There is also a casino entrance behind the main entrance which can be access using escalators from the main lobby. Overall, a pleasant surprise for what you pay for, including good rooms and services in the heart of Manila. Definitely a property worth considering in the future if you want to stay within the city and close to the airport.…
Hidden gem!! Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to Robinson’s should you decide for a cheaper breakfast, lunch or supper. The bell service and security were gracious enough to hail a metered cab for me. Good job boys!!! Thank you!
Absolutely phenomenal customer service in all departments, from start to finish! It was a perfect stay, a hospitality masterclass , it started from the smooth airport pickup by Marciel and Henry, the Pacific lounge blew us away especially Jayson and his manager in the evening, and the front desk was superb the entite time. 5/5
This used to be the Pan Pacific Manila. The change to Sheraton Manila Bay together with new management is a welcome change. It still has the same glass elevator mind you. The whole experience now is better than the last time I was here. I highly recommend this hotel.
It is not often that I will write a review simply to target the food of a hotel but the Pacific Lounge has exceeded all expectations. Everything and I do mean everything was exceptional. The chef truly has a firm grasp of flavors and Complimenting dishes. Thank you Sheraton staff for a wonderful experience
Friendly Staff and good customer service. Clean rooms and very cozy place to relax and chill. Scented rooms and beautiful swimming fool. The life guards were alert. The front desk at the pool area and in the lounge were very friendly. All in all it was a GOOD JOB!! Keep it up.
Returned to Manila after a two year absence and selected the Sheraton Manila Bay as our home away from home. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to Robinson Place Mall, restaurants and historic sites within Malate. The hotel’s staff was very accommodating to all of our requests. As a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite I really appreciate the hotel’s recognition of loyal Marriott members. This is our new favorite Manila Bay address. Thanks to all Sheraton Manila Bay associates for your professionalism and service dedication to your guests.
Well from this hotel you will have a nice view out over the bay and ocean. It is possible to do some sightseeing just by walking from the hotel, or you could try the metro train as well which is nearby.
