The Bayleaf Intramuros is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and delectable food, though it may get a bit noisy for some. Nestled in the heart of historic Intramuros, the hotel's location is lauded for its convenience to explore the city's heritage sites. Guests consistently praise the spotless rooms and commend the attentive service, enhancing the hotel's appeal. While the rooms and amenities are generally well-received, a few travelers mention additional fees and suggest updates to room decor. Despite mixed feelings on value, the panoramic views and professional staff leave a lasting impression.

If your looking for the perfect hotel, look no further! I love this hotel, the professionalism of it staff is unsurpassed. They will great you with open arms like family, they will make sure you are fully comfortable during your stay! The Skydeck is one of my favorite places with in the Intramuros, the skyline at night is so beautiful you can't stop watching it. They have a band on Sunday and Monday nights that brings harmony to your soul while you listen to them! They have amazing Chef's here and the food is always excellent! The staff on the Skydeck and 9Spoons are completely amazing, between working so diligently to make your meal the best possible experience! Your accommodations/room will be cleaned thoroughly everyday and it makes you feel like your living in heaven when you crawl into your bed with the down blankets! I can never say enough good about this hotel! They even under short suspense one to two days, were able to book me for an additional 30 days of stay, which was highly impressive! I am not only talking about this time with my hotel stay, as this is my fourth time staying here throughout the years. You can not and will not go wrong with this hotel, why do you think it has been rated very highly from Booking.com and Trip Advisor. From My family to yours, if your contemplating on your hotel when you come to the Philippines, stay here, you will "NOT" regret it!) Also ask the front desk about becoming a TBX member, many discounts is you sign up! I did and just the savings I got on my hotel room paid for the membership fee and more! Respectfully, Michael Brundage

Every service we encountered in the hotel was amazing. Upon arrival, the security guards were able to point us to the parking area and assist us with our luggages. The parking area was available and spacious for us.

Check-in was easy. The people at the front desk were swift to verify our identification and booking. They were able to answer our questions about visitors and shuttle services as well.

Upon heading to our room, we realized that the elevator operates with the hotel keycards, which reassured and guaranteed our safety and security as anyone can't just easily access and use the elevator.

The executive suite was neat and tidy, smelled amazing, looks amazing too. We had appliances like a mini fridge, kettle, and hair blower. Bath set is complete and we were able to use the hot water. Basically, we encountered no issues upon using the room.

Our breakfast buffet experience at the 9 Spoons was amazing as well. The staff looked very well-groomed and were quick to discard any empty plates when we're done eating.

Overall, the experience and our stay in The Bayleaf Intramuros was amazing.

Very old hotel (built in 1963) right on the city wall at the golf course. Ideal location for exploring the old town.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Terrace with restaurant and bar on 9. Floor with stunning views. Prices reasonable.
Good Italian restaurant on 3. Floor.
Reasonable breakfast buffet which was not replenished from about 9:30 am (there is until 10:30 am). Little choice, especially if you are looking for rolls and sausage / cheese.
Wi-Fi works.
We had treated ourselves to the best room category. Very large, modern furnishings with great views. Very large bathroom behind a matte glass wall with sliding glass door with very little lighting. There was little water coming out of the shower and always ice cold from the rain shower in addition. No hairdryer available. White towels rather grey / beige which were exchanged every day.
There were bathrobes (which were quite stained) that were exchanged even after a few days.
Every day there was 300ml of water per person. Instant coffee and tea were available.
After cleaning the room, the air conditioning was set to the lowest point, if you came very late in the room, it was there about 17 degrees.
Everything a bit unkempt and dirty, although the shoes were wet cleaned every day and when we had to mop something up the paper tissue was dark grey. Quite spoiled, in the next room repairs were made to the joints, so we tried to get everything to a fairly good standard.

We book here quite often for the past years (5+) during special occasions and a rest hotel during business/personal trips to Manila. We love that the quality of service is the same. The rooms are always clean with cool air-conditioning, beds and pillows are soft which always makes for a comfortable rest. Food is great in terms on taste and serving. The staff nice and very accommodating to our requests (24hrs room services, laundry, and ironing services) We always recommend this hotel to friends and family who are looking to stay in Intramuros. Looking forward to coming back! :)

We stayed at The Bayleaf Intramuros for 10 nights. Every time we entered and exited the building, the kind staff greeted us with warm welcomes. The room was clean when we arrived. A daily call was made by the staff to ask if we needed a room cleaning. They responded very quickly to calls and assistance was sent immediately when requested. The room service was delicious and very convenient as it was 24/7. This was perfect for the late night dinners that we had after a long day. The buffet breakfast in the morning was very filling (bread, soup, main dish, and fruits). The atmosphere was clean and safe. The staff also conversed in english very well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

I had a comfortable stay.
I just have few comments to improve:
1. Telephone is not working, so I could not ask for assistance from the front desk or housekeeping, had to go down to ask for another towel
2. Wifi is not working
3. No door knob lock on the bathroom
4. One car per room policy - usually there are two persons staying at a hotel and no one can expect that they are in the same car. I suggest to make it more flexible and considerable most especially that the car park is not full.
5. Not all in the front desk are hospitable and approachable. I have their names but I won’t mention it.

Dear Q4030EKerikar, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you had a comfortable stay, but we’re sorry to learn about the challenges you encountered. Telephone: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the non-functioning telephone. Our staff is always ready to assist, and we would have been happy to help you had you informed us. We’ll ensure that our maintenance team addresses this issue promptly. WiFi: We have not received other reports of WiFi issues, and instructions for logging in are provided upon check in. If you experienced difficulties, our staff would have been more than willing to help if asked. We strive to ensure reliable connectivity and will continue monitoring the system closely. Bathroom Door Lock: The decision not to have a door knob lock in the bathroom is a safety measure. This is especially important for guests such as seniors and children, as it allows easier access in case of an emergency. Since there is no telephone in the bathroom, this design choice ensures that help can be reached quickly if needed Parking Policy: Our one car per room policy is standard in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels with limited parking capacity. While we understand your suggestion for flexibility, this policy helps ensure that other in house guests have access to parking. We appreciate your understanding and will take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. Front Desk Service: We regret that some of our front desk staff did not meet your expectations for hospitality. Your feedback is valuable, and we will address this internally to improve the level of service our guests receive. Thank you again for your comments. We value your suggestions and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an even better experience in the future. Regards, The Bayleaf team

I had a pleasant stay. The view from the room and the breakfast buffet was nice. The room was generally OK, though it needs improved sound insulation because I could hear some noise (slamming doors, chairs being dragged) from nearby rooms and from the room above. Additionally, I had the bedsheet changed on the first night because it was quite itchy and I saw that it had some hairs on it.

This is hands down the best hotel “inside” the Intramuros. It is walking distance to every attraction and above all safe and secure. The rooms are large and clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Ice cold quiet AC, flat screen TV and acceptable wifi speed. The bonus is the amazing sky top restaurant with amazing food. You could blindfold and throw a dart at the menu and come out a winner. The breakfast buffet included with our room rate was vast, fresh and delicious. Special shoutout for the amazing white glove service from Front Desk Representative Joy, valet Lance and daily room freshening from Ronian. There warm and welcoming attitude made us feel like a valued customer. If your staying in Manila you want to stay inside the Intramuros and inside the old wall city there is no better accommodations than the Bayleaf. We give this property two thumbs way up and will be back ✅

The location within Manilla's "walled city" was great -- surrounded by streets lined with bustling food stalls, historic buildings, parks, and extended sections of the old wall for walking. The room had a comfortable bed and the basic necessities for a comfortable stay (including large windows with a view of the city).

All that said, we happened to stay on the night of a religious event that lasted 24 hours, with gathering of hundreds of people, parades, and rituals that closed down the streets surrounding the hotel and entrances to and from the walled city, and no one informed us of this annual event in advance. As we needed to catch an international flight early in the morning (in the middle of this event), we were left desperate the evening before when learning of the street closures and potential of taking 3 hours to get to the airport for an 8:00 a.m. flight (normally a 30-45 minute drive). No Grab cars or taxis would "accept" a ride call due to the impossibility of getting to the hotel. We only learned of this issue upon returning from dinner the night before our departure at 22:30. No one at the hotel had mentioned anything about this until we inquired at 22:30, having had to walk back to the hotel, when no cars could get through the crowded streets. The front desk staff kept repeating that the roads would be closed, but offered no suggestions. Finally, they offered the possibility of a hotel transfer at 4:15 a.m. (presumably the car was already at the hotel so would be available to transfer us). This cost 3 times the amount of a Grab car, but at least we made it to the airport. While the hotel has no control over the event taking place, since it is an annual event - and obviously has consequences for hotel guests - it is inexcusable that there was absolutely no notification of the event (or its disruptive consequences) communicated. With a bit of planning and communication all the anxiety created could have been avoided.

Dear TravelerDChicago, Mabuhay! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We appreciate your kind words about our location and comfortable rooms. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to the annual religious event in the city. Please understand that, as this event is a regular occurrence, the hotel has no control over the festivities and their impact on transportation. We genuinely hope that you can appreciate this aspect. Regarding your comment about poor communication, we strive to keep our guests informed and have made every effort to relay important information via emails sent prior to your arrival, including letters placed in the rooms and announcements on our social media platforms. We regret that you might have missed these communications and are unsure why the information didn’t reach you earlier. We understand the frustration of securing transportation during such a busy time, which is why we utilized hotel transportation to ensure that our guests had a reliable option, albeit at a higher cost than regular Grab cars. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter, as it was a challenge for all attending. Thank you once again for your feedback. We take all comments seriously and will work towards improving our communication strategies in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances. Warm regards, The Bayleaf team

If you are looking for a soft and fluffy pillows then Bayleaf can provide you that for sure!

We really enjoyed our 3days and 2nights stay to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary in Bayleaf Intramuros and your staff are very courteous and helpful! They managed to served my additional room arrangement request and I'm so happy for that!

However, just a few honest comments for improvement to continuously achieve excellence in hotel industry... in room 508, we can hear the voices of other occupants next to our room. Maybe they do also hear us in parallel, perhaps something to improve more in terms of privacy.

Another thing is the amount of shampoo and body wash for a couple is a very small portion that you really need to improve. It's a good thing we brought our own preferred brands, but still something needs to improve if others won't be able to prepare like what we did.

Then the last one is the breakfast selection, maybe cereals are served in other days because during our stay congee was served on the first day and champorado the other day. Maybe if you can add the cereals and soup in your daily breakfast menu then I think that would be great!

Hope you find my comments and feedback reasonable. Again thanks and we do really appreciate your friendly and attentive hotel service! Wish you more suceess!

Hi Ken F, Regarding your inquiry, yes we do have airport pick up available at P800. You just have to provide us your complete flight details. It doesn’t flood in the hotel unless there is a strong typhoon. But unfortunately, we do not have a gym in the hotel. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
