Rizal Park Hotel is a relatively "new" hotel in Manila after undergoing refurbishment. It's exterior and interior is beautifully done restoring it to what it was once. The interior decor was tastefully decorated with a combination of Spanish and western style. The pool is nice and relaxing. Rooms are spacious.
All day meal buffet is on offer at the main dining room; a la carte is also on  offer. Staff are very helpful. Parking is available.

Rizal Park hotel is beautifully restored. I love the interior and exterior design of the building,it is a combination of ancient and modern architecture. The rooms are huge , the floor is shining and clean, the bathroom is spacious too. As we enter at the hotel, we were welcomed with a smiles of the staff and the receptionist at the lobby were all friendly and accommodating. The best part is the location of the hotel, it is very close to the different parks, museum and malls, you can have a morning walk along the bay, step away from the hotel. It was a a 2 days stay and we were satisfied.Surely We will be back, very soon.

I would like to start by mentioning that this hotel is located in a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of Manila's famous Ermita district. Both the interior and exterior are visually impressive and you really feel like you are stepping into the past as you enter the hotel; from the lighting, to the tiling, and even the staff uniforms.

Positives: The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful from the moment you enter, you will be captivated by the opulent decorations and beautifully clean and spacious foyers and hallways. The hotel itself is a 3 minute walk from the famous Rizal Park (Luneta Park) and you can really get to anywhere you want to go in Manila quite easily from the hotel.

Negatives: The first and biggest issue we experienced was in this hotel was the level of noise in the evening. We were kept awake by the very loud guitar and drums from the karaoke venue across the street which quite literally shook the window panes. I understand that this is not really the hotel's fault and that karaoke is a common Filipino pastime however when we called to enquire about the noise we were told that the music should stop around 2am, whereas we would have appreciated an offer to move to a quieter part of this large hotel, given the price per night and our feeling unwell at the time.

It is also worth mentioning the breakfast at the hotel, whilst it does feature delicious traditional Filipino cuisine, there were some notable things missing. The selection of fresh fruit was limited to 3 and there was notably no salad options available.

Also note that the bar in the hotel was closed by 10pm, if you would like a cocktail on a Saturday night at this time (perhaps because the loud music has kept you awake), then the nearest option may be the Manila Hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the Rizal Park Hotel.

Overall I would describe the Rizal Park Hotel as opulent, but not necessarily luxurious. It could benefit from some sound-proofing and perhaps a little bit more signage inside (can be difficult to find facilities such as the pool). It is definitely worth a visit to this historical place, however it is somewhat resigned in the shadow of the nearby Manila Hotel which is perhaps somewhat better value for money.

I have just stayed at the Rizal Park Hotel for business for the past six nights. The building itself has been beautifully restored but the service is just not good enough for what is meant to be a five star hotel.

My first problem was the hotel ordered car to pick me up from the airport never arrived and I ended up catching a taxi after waiting at the designated area for an hour

For the duration of my stay I never had hot water in my shower/bathroom despite making complaints on several occasions. The best I got was luke warm. I eventually gave up on it.

I would expect that the hotel should follow up on complaints with the guest to see whether they are satisfied with any repairs etc. this didn’t happen.

Finally the food at breakfast is very sub-standard. Very basic indeed. The two ‘juices’ on offer were cordial rather than juice. The bread was clearly not made on site and was hard and dry.

The choice was very poor in comparison to so many other hotels I have stayed at in Manila and throughout Asia.

I ended up walking to the nearby Manila Hotel for dinner, where the food quality and selection was so much better.

The staff at the Rizal Park were all very pleasant and tried hard, but the service levels need a complete review if the hotel wishes to retain guests in the future

I will communicate with our transport provider & the Front Office team about your scheduled airport pick-up. We already discussed with engineering the issue about the hot water. so far, the rooms we checked have no problems with it. we will keep on monitoring our hot water pumps to make sure that your experience will not happen again. I will communicate with our F&B Manager your concerns about the food. Thank you for bringing up your concerns to us. This will help us improve on our hotel further

This is a beautiful looking hotel inside and out. The reception area is pretty and so was our room. The place was undergoing some renovations when we were there but that was hardly noticeable. It’s close to some of the main sites too so we were able to walk to Rizal park. Check in was quick and friendly, free ice tea was nice and they let us use the gym after we checked out to freshen up before going to the airport. But some less positive experiences too...breakfast service was overwhelmed so we waited a while to get seated, then waited for someone to bring clean cups or cutlery, only to find most of the food had run out. We then had a very strange experience checking out, when they accused us of breaking an iron we’d borrowed. That they sent someone to go and check it before we’d left the hotel was odd in itself but then it got weirder, with various chains of management having to be consulted on what to do about the broken iron!

We now think that the Rizal Park Hotel is the best hotel in the Philippines. We've been in a variety of hotels from Luzon to Mindanao, but the Rizal Park Hotel surpassed our expectations and offered first-rate facilities and services! You might initially assume that the rates are higher than at other 5-star hotels, but you won't regret it! There is value in every cent! Since they were fully booked when we made our original request, they simply upgraded our accommodation without considering how much we would love it. The view is fantastic! You won't need to worry because they also have practically all of the requirements for your stay. Because there are restaurants, a pool, a gym, and a kids' area, you won't get bored! But their staff is their greatest advantage! Everyone is incredibly friendly, courteous, helpful, and proactive, including the restaurant servers, housekeepers, and receptionists. Everyone is treated like a VIP there! Definitely return again!

Formerly the Army Navy Club in Manila circa 1940’s and has now been renovated to a statuesque hotel. My wife and I occupied a well appointed room facing Luneta. Our other classmates were luckier though since their rooms faced Manila Bay thus were able to view the famed Manila Bay sunset from their rooms.
Our reunion was celebrated in the hotel’s biggest function room and I must commend the waitstaff for a job well done. The food though was OK and could have been better.

The staff at check in fave us the bad news that to swim in the small pool overlooking Manila Bay would require a room upgrade costing P2000 a night. I saw no evidence of gym staff enforcing this draconian rule.

Our third floor room was spacious and most comfortable with good quality linen.

The bathroom was large with the efficient rainhead shower a delight.

Aircon was silent and WiFi worked well.

The breakfast was substandard. No yoghurt, poor quality fruit but a good omelette slightly redeemed it.

The public areas were massive and attractive.

Lighting in the room was very good.

Robinsons Mall Ermita is less than 1.5 kilometres away.

I have high hopes with this hotel bcoz they rcvd a pres award. I decided.to have a quick bite while waiting for lunch buffet sched. But their service did not meet my expectation! They served cold/warm instead of hot tea, it was 3x in a row. They even forget my other order. Calling hotel staff for at least 5x for complain is already a red flag, that is why i decided not to try out their buffet!

An unmined gem. Elegant old-world interiors with checkerboard floors in the lobbies and hallways, intricate wrought-iron railings, and beautiful Spanish tiles and brocade wallpaper in the suites. Some common areas, like the central courtyard, need a little TLC but are quietly lovely with trailing flowers and birds chirping above. The pool is a good size, not overly large, but with a great bay view. Parking is adequate for guests though might be a struggle if there is an event in the 1000-person ballroom.

We had a gorgeous, comfortable corner suite with windows overlooking the bay on one side and the park on the other side. The giant king bed was luxurious and a delight to sleep on, and the huge bathtub was a treat for the kids. The hotel cafe has a delicious breakfast buffet featuring different regional dishes, and there is also a rooftop restaurant and bar with a perfect panorama for cocktails paired with the famous Manila Bay sunset.

There are some quirky policies though, like the need to pay on the spot for ala carte orders rather than charging them to your room. Also because this is an old building, there is kind of a split floor plan where the hotel has two wings. Each wing has its own suites but only one has direct access to the poolside and spa, so if you're in the other one, you need to pass thru the lobby and transfer elevators to get there. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but is something to consider when you book.

The best part though was the service. Every person was warm and gracious, and a real pleasure to deal with. Rushdee at the front desk and Prince at the roofdeck took exceptional care of our family during our stay.

It is also walking distance to family attractions like the Manila Ocean Park, Museo Pambata, and of course Rizal Park. All in all a memorable and wonderful place to stay in the city of Manila.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a bay view as the subset is gorgeous. Corner room on the 3rd floor is the best.
