Detailed Reviews
I paid extra to get a room facing the ocean, but the view was limited with a huge carpark dominating the view, and a huge construction site was diagonally opposite, no one said a word that I would see and hear the construction site, the tall receptionist was cold and not inviting. I complained and he changed my room to a few doors down, but noise could still be heard. Took forever to check in, even though we arrived around 4.30 pm. The room was large, good if you have a large suitcase. It was bright and cheery, sadly in my room the tv screen had a stain or damage to the screen, even the bathroom mirror had damage to its surface. The shower didn't work properly, with limited hot water and you felt the outside air as you could not close the small window above the shower, because you could not close the small window, you had to close the bathroom door to stop the outside noise affecting you. The lifts were playing up and took forever opening which made me nervous. Security is good and your swipe card can only accesses your floor. The area around the hotel is not the best, so I would not recommend the area for single women or anyone new to the Philippines.

For budget-conscious travelers, this property is the best place to spend your quarantine days. Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Staffs are friendly and they quickly tend to your needs.
Strong internet but the wifi in my room is quite unstable so I used my post-paid data most of the time.

We stayed overnight at Hop Inn Ermita, having previously tried the Cebu branch. This location was a step up, thanks to the inclusion of a window—something we appreciated compared to Go Hotel.
The bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was decent, and the pricing was fair for the central location.
However, at just 16 sqm, the room felt incredibly cramped—almost suffocating.

During my stay from 4th of August 2021 to 13th of August. Found out that it is a very good place. The room is cool and neat, and if you have some query you may inform the reception area anytime and they are willing to assist and help. Thank you for your good service.

I was very disappointed during check out for second time i stayed hop inn malate the first time i stayed it was good everythings fine. But the second time it was very disappointing during check out the housekeeper ask me to go back to the room he said the room is smell cigarette I repplied that smell came out from my trash that i forgot to throw before check in the trash contain about 5-10 cigarette butts and havent touch for 14 days but not intentional, I open trash looking for a piece of paper that i might put it in. luckily I found the paper and I resend the details but bad because the smell came out.
Happened
(1)
3hrs before check out that was my mistake to open the trash can you imagine a trash 14 days untouch in the plastic inside bag and open it the smell will be out the room is closed only natural vent from the toilet so it took time to ventilate the room
(2)
During my first and second stay I know the hotel policy a 5k fine it was big money Im not crazy from april 29 to may 12 if I smoke on that long period of time housekeeper food deliverer trash collector they will notice beacause a minimum of 6 times I open the door to check the food to take food and bring out food container
So If I smoke for the long period of time anyone that passing near the room will smell and it will be reported
And the hotel EQUIPED with a SMOKE DETECTOR
I dont have much time to argue that tme because i have a flight to catch i try to explain but they dont listen because all they want is to pay the penalty it might be they have a percentage to it
I am very much disappointed the second time I stay in HOP INN Malate paying a penalty without breaking hotel policy but openning a plactic bag 2 to 3 hr prior to check out.
Hope that money will give you good in the future and the staff will not be experience what they done.

I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past and have been happy on those stays. This time around with this COVID pandemic, I decided to quarantine here since it’s cheap and I’ve had good experiences in this hotel. My room was so clean and the staff is amazing. Being stuck in any room for more than a week is horrible and me getting sick while in quarantine made it worst. This staff at Hop inn Ermita was so very responsive and was so accommodating and understanding of my situation that they made my stay tolerable. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

Place is clean. Very secured and the Hotel strictly follows standard health and safety protocols. Staff are friendly and helpful. While we cannot go out of our rooms you can request for the staff to buy items at 7-11 on the ground floor. Overall a great place to stay. My only concern here is that the internet connection was a bit flaky. It would be nice as well if every room is equipped with a hot water kettle. While the staff is very quick to respond to request for hot water, it is still more convenient if the rooms have kettles by default. Small investment but makes a whole lot of difference.

The place is clean and the staffs are friendly. Can easily communicate with them 24/7. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quarantine facility. The food is okay and you can easily ask them to buy you stuffs that you need during your stay since its close to a convenience store. The seaside view is great.

I am truly amazed at the combined blend of professionalism and personal touch that hotel staff give to the guests. I must say I am truly, truly proud. Soooo very Pinoy. They treat guests with courtesy, are very prompt to answer questions , and are truly understanding. Given these challenging times, I take pride in the fact that Filipinos not just survive but thrive in their workplaces. The management of this hotel is lucky to have such a team of dedicated workers. Definitely an asset to any company.
I must commend also the food service crew. Lutong bahay. Comfort food. Takes me back to my roots. I am quite picky with food preparation and taste especially with Filipino food. But this one pass my standards .
