Stayed two times during our holiday in Manila, the only good thing about the hotel was the location which is close to the mall. Showers didn’t work well or at all. Was over charged for the airport transfers, the cost was 4x what a taxi or grab would have cost. Also a charge of 1200 peso per night for crib hire was rubbish! I’ve never been charged for a crib before in any other hotel stay. we stayed because of the big rooms but wouldn’t stay again. So disappointed

I chose this hotel as I had a really good experience on my previous stay. Nice to know that is is still maintaining it's high service standard. This time, I chose a Standard Studio, which is slightly smaller that the 1 Bedroom Suite. Room is really big with a separate sitting room. Only this does not have a stove top of microwave oven. Just a normal bar fridge and crockery for meals. Breakfast still remains as set menus instead of buffet style. But is alright for the 7 days that I spent there.

They offered to have their hotel shuttle pick us up at the airport. When we found him he left us to get the vehicle and was gone for 40 minutes. By the time we got to the hotel pool had just closed at 8 PM and they would not let us swim and I know that’s why we chose this hotel. The shuttle is a rip off at $29 and you can get a taxi it will take you there quickly for $5-$7. The front desk is apathetic. The breakfast is one item off the menu, but was good. Manella is very crowded, traffic jams everywhere. We went there to visit Entramuros but left our tour early so we could have six hours to get to the airport and through all the security.

This is a Great Hotel Suite. The Room I had came complete with a small kitchen with a dual hot plate, refrigerator, Table and chairs for 6. It had a Master Bedroom with a private Master Bath. There was another bedroom with 2 full size beds. There were televisions in the Master Bedroom and a TV in the Living room. It had 2 Aircons. And this was all walking distance from a major Mall with Cinemas, Grocery Store, and a nice selection of restaurants. All in All a great place for the price.

This hotel is an excellent optinon for your stay in Malate (Manila). It is located close to the Robinsson mal and you can walk from there to the Rizal Park etc. The hotel staff is super friendly and can help you with pretty much everything you need.

Just one night here, two adults and three teenagers - a two bedroom suite with an extra bed provided. Hard floors, simple furnishings, ample space. Basic kitchen and two bathrooms, clean and functional. The pool is outside and involves walking out of the hotel and through the car park - we didn't use it in the end. The breakfast felt like a bit of a scam - it's very basic and menu driven - watch out for what you're charged if you get it included with the room - it's not worth more than 200 pesos each but I'm sure I got charged nearly 1000 each! Location is okay, with fairly easy access to the rest of Manila (Malate/Ermita).

Near the large Robinson Mall AND the university of the Philippines as well as St. Paul University, the Tropicana Suites is just fantastic. The staff and the accommodations are excellent and I would rate them as super. It was like being at home with wonderful guests. The breakfast was fantastic and it was a great place to stay. The salt water pool is very refreshing and this is an excellent buy for the type of accommodations

Stayed here for one night before making our way to Puerto Princessa. Location is fantastic, right by the main mall and in walking distance to the park and other attractions. Room was large and clean, however the bed was one of the worst beds I have ever slept on. Very hard mattress and minimal bed sheets/pillows. The air con was also very very cold and this meant having to turn it off during the night as we were freezing. The floor in the room was very slippy and my husband nearly slipped over numerous times just walking to the bathroom. The shower water was cold and not very good pressure. Breakfast was good and included in the price. Security was high which made us feel safe, however being asked what room we were in Everytime we left the hotel and again when we returned was…

My wife an I stayed for 10 nights in a 1 Bedroom suite which was very spacious clean and had everything you need for a home away from home. It has great cooking facilities and large fridge and everything works which is very important and the free WiFi works well. As always the Breakfast was excellent and the down stairs pool is kept very clean. This is the only place we stay when visiting Manila as we feel very safe at the Tropicana, it is close to everything shopping malls, restaurants, night life etc..transport is close about a 6 minute walk to a train station and its very easy to get a taxi if needed. Once again we would like to thank all the staff from the Managers, cleaners, front reception, security guards and bell boys for making our stay special. We are looking forward to…
