From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by smiling team members who were happy and ready to help. We were very fortunate to receive a room upgrade to a suite, which made our KL stay a little more special. The extra space and separate lounge meant we could stretch out more. The hotel's location is a little way out from the main city area, which means that it is much quieter here and you can avoid the hustle and bustle (and traffic) of downtown KL. There are two shopping centers nearby - Damansara City Mall (DC Mall) and Pavilion Damansara Heights- within easy walking distance. But DC Mall is quite deserted so I recommend Pavilion Damansara Heights which is upmarket but with quite a range of dining choices to suit all budgets. Shopping here is much quieter and more relaxed than shopping in Pavilion KL, which was packed when we visited. The room was comfortable and clean, and bed ensured that I slept very well each night. We also enjoyed the hospitality of Club Millesime on level 22, which served provided drinks, refreshments and breakfasts. My favorite were the delicate sandwiches served during afternoon tea. All in all a very relaxed and enjoyable stay.

This hotel has always been my favourite staycation. I had a nighter on 1st May here. Despite some flaws, I still had an enjoyable stay.

Check in was a breeze with a room upgrade to a junior suite. The suite was well appointed. Sadly, the dusty smell was quite intense.

My stay came with lounge access and complimentary breakfast
. The lounge served all day long beverages like coffee, tea, sodas, premium sparkling water and still water, cookies and nuts, fresh juice. A delectable afternoon tea and scrumptious evening cocktail spread were offered. The lounge, in my opinion, had been an oasis of serenity.

Mr Ikbal was definitely a gem-studded staff who made my stay extremely pleasant. All staff from Reception, Concierge and Housekeeping were equally attentive, friendly and approachable. They wore GENUINE smiles at work!!!

Breakfast at Kwee Zeen was indeed impressive. I personally liked the crispy fried and egg benedict. I also availed myself to the Surf and Turf buffet dinner. The huge spread was outstanding with all The staff taking good care of me and my delighting fellow diner. Both of us felt like royalty. A special mention to Hanafi, Ridzuan, Chef Shafiq and Ashnida who deserve a raise.

Lastly, i redeemed my welcome drink at the pool bar. Aiman was great but Mr. Izzat was stupendous whom i regard him as another great asset to the hotel.

I have no qualms in returning to this business hotel for any occasion.

Avoid Sofitel Kuala Lumpur – Unsafe and Poorly Managed

My stay at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur was a nightmare. As a solo female traveler, my safety was blatantly disregarded when a male cleaner entered my room without permission under the guise of turndown service. Management’s justification—that staff can enter if a guest doesn’t respond after three knocks—is unacceptable and alarming.

The cleanliness was abysmal. Despite a week-long stay, my room was never properly cleaned. Dirty plates and soiled cups were left for days, creating a foul-smelling environment. Housekeeping ignored my requests, leaving the room in a deplorable state.

Room service was equally disastrous. A simple order of toast with butter took 20 minutes and was delivered incorrectly. The management’s repeated apologies and promises to investigate were meaningless as none of the issues were resolved.

For a hotel of this supposed caliber, the experience was utterly disappointing. I strongly advise against staying here—save yourself the frustration.

Service in Sofitel Damansara reflects its European heritage with a highly personable approach by all the staff members under the leadership of the new General Manager.
This results in bespoke dining experiences and a highly personal approach to guest care.

The hotel was very clean and all the COVID protocols were embedded in the day to day encounters in an unobstrusive manner.

All the facilities in the room functioned well with fast and easy to connect internet, quiet aircon and strong water pressure. A Nespresso Coffee machine was a good addition to the already comprehensive amenity set up.

We loved to dine in the hotel’s Mediterranean Restaurant Nizza. The place serves fresh and deliciously prepared dishes and offers exceptional quality for money, on par with surrounding neighbourhood restaurants. Izzat was always on hand to guide us through the menu and provided a curated dining experience.
Breakfast was buffet style on weekends and a La carte during the week with high quality French pastries and excellent local dishes.

The location in the leafy enclave of Damansara was a refreshing difference from the usual traffic chocked hotels around the KLCC area. Access to the city centre and malls in Mid Valley, Pavilion and KLCC was easy by private car or Grab.

We would definitely return and can highly recommend this hotel to visitors to KL.

Love The Room and Very good service from Adam
at Sofitel - Kuala Lumpur Damansara
We from Viet Nam, I and my girlfriend really like Sofitel Kuala Lumpur.
This is my first time in Kuala Lumpur.
We checked in late at night after 10:30 p.m., so the hotel no longer had a restaurant serving food, so we ordered food to the room service.
The hotel room was very clean and spacious, which I really liked.
The hotel has full amenities so we also stayed in the hotel.
I want to thank Adam, who works in the lobby. Maybe he's in the concierge department. On the second day, we took a grab to go around the city and I forgot my go pro in the car. We cannot contact them. I asked the grab operator to help find me and they took a long time to respond.
In the afternoon, I returned to the hotel and asked Adam to check the Grab Operator to help me find it and he was very enthusiastic in contacting me.
He even went to our room stand outside room gave me his phone to text the Grab operator so I could answer their questions and the next day we received the items back.
One more thing I want to compliment to Adam, he is very agile and enthusiastic and handles situations very well.
I saw that the hotel sold beautiful moon cake boxes and I wanted to buy them as gifts because I liked the bag.
I told the receptionist twice that evening and they said I can take anytime or they will bring to the room put in the room for me and that evening when I went down to ask, the receptionist seemed like they didn't know the information so I asked the restaurant nearby and one of the bar staff in the lobby. He said it wouldn't be able to be delivered until the next day, but I will checked out at noon the next day, there wouldn't be time.
I called Adam he stand nearby and asked him to check to check for me, I need mooncakes box to take home by tonight, I told him that he agreed to check for me After only 15 minutes, I am sitting at the bar drinking some wine, he brought the correct green box. I was very happy with his fast action.
Also, whenever we passed by, Adam always smiled brightly and asked if we needed any help
He should receive more recognition and some more leader training skill to become a manager in the near future, he deserved for that.
In addition, I also want to praise Khairil, who is in the same department with Adam and the housekeeping staff named KaJav. He was very careful after cleaning the room and asked if we needed anything. I like his kindness and friendly smiles. with his customers.
We had a very pleasant three-night stay at Sofiltel Kuala Lumpur
We will come back and stay there next time.

We stayed at Sofitel Damansara prior to the new year. The service was average I had spoken to the front desk prior to arrival that it was for a wedding anniversary and i had requested to have the room done up and desserts, they did not do this even after i had checked in and called to remind them. We had 3 luxury king rooms but the cleanliness wasnt great there was stains on the tables, one room had the iron broken and lots of items werent functioning properly. We had also included breakfast and the breakfast service wasnt great it took about 1 hour plus every morning to get our coffee orders, plus there werent enough utensils and lots of people were using their hands. The location was good as the Damansara mall was a short walk away and had a great variety of restaurants and shops. I dont think it was great value of money as there were quite a few drawbacks.

I was booked 2 rooms which was Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin with request of connecting room. Anyhow I was shocked that Sofitel Kuala Lumpur system couldn't trace my booking for Deluxe Twin room..I did show receptionist that my booking was confirmed on 20th Feb 2024 before I check in on 23th Feb 2024. Anyhow due to hassle of my trip to Sofitel Kuala Lumpur, I was asked to pay for RM1400 cash for my Deluxe Twin room and that was fined.
I had booked many rooms before this and this time I was ashamed by Sofitel Kuala Lumpur system that can't trace my booking and the receptionist Jxx Xxx insisted no confirmation for my Deluxe.Twin room. I hope Sofitel Kuala Lumpur can be improving customer service in the future.
Breakfast buffet need to be improving as well because most of the utensils and foods was finished

As the year draws to a close and people are celebrating Christmas, the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am spending my holidays with my family members in KL.

As we celebrate and remember Jesus, I wanted to take this time to also remember those who have touched our holiday experience in KL.

I stayed at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur recently for 2 nights with my wife and her 2 guests who are wheelchair bound and autism. We wanted to spend most of our time in the hotel and its restaurants so that we need not go into the busy street during this time.

We picked Sofitel KL and eliminated a few others that didn't quite meet our requirements such as connecting rooms with accessible bathroom for handicap. For the booking I want to thank NURSYARIFAH Muslena for her speedy response and giving the right information we need to make our decision in time. She even took for us a photo of the toilet to allow us to assess if the setup is what works for us.

We left the hotel briefly after the first night because of some challenges. During this time we left an item which was very important and useful to calm my autism guest. When we returned we totally forgot where we placed it. A few minutes later the attentive room service crew Kajal rang our door bell and kindly returned our misplaced item. We are so grateful that the item was not mistaken as rubbish or trash during room service and was promptly returned when we came back

During our stay we were moving around with one wheel chair for 2 of our family guests and it didn't take too long for Jerome from Priority Welcome to notice and offered us handy services and additional wheelchair. The extra wheelchair allowed us to roam freely in the mall.

Finally I wanted to also thank Fahmi from Kwee Zeen. Not sure if he was the assistant manager or manager. We are grateful that he was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Apparently our initial spot in that restaurant was switched to accommodate a larger group who wanted to sit together as a company event. We sat down without knowing and was initially asked to moved to another table. The event organiser was kind enough to allow us to remain due to mobility challenges. But we could not accept the offer as we might disrupt the dinner due to possible disruptive autism behaviour. I requested Fahmi to kindly allow us to sit at the mezzanine floor which is not even open. He managed to open it for us and even requested the service crew to attend to us at the remote location. Also he was very kind to accommodate the request for fruit not on the service menu but was important to help us manage our situation.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the stay. Sofitel KL is in no way a perfect hotel. There are some items that were missed out. However we enjoyed the stay because of the personal touch and have benefitted from their imperfections, so to say, which works for us. Thank you. Our stay at the Sofitel was okay. We always stay at 5 star hotels and the hospitality at the Sofitel was average. The attentiveness and willingness to help by staff is neither good or bad - just average.

Breakfast buffet has a good variation but rarely changes day to day and most of the fruits available don't have flavour. Coffee choices are limited.

The pool staff member was extremely rude which left our family not eating to use the pool or outdoor bar at all after the one time.

Generally house keeping can be slow which leaves you waiting an hour to gain access to the room but they do a thorough job.
Kajal one of the housekeeping staff was very sweet, extremely friendly and his attention to detail was amazing.

Most hotels will take a deposit via credit card but not actually take the money out. That's what generally happens to me. I just check my statement to ensure that nothing was taken.

Hi, there is a 7-11 adjacent to the hotel. With regards to eateries, there are a few bars/restaurants located in the same mall (DC mall) that are open till midnight. Hope that helps.
