Have stayed 2x once interstate travel allowed in Oct, each time a few nights. This hotel needs renovation n maintenance. Understandably it has suffered tremendously fr Covid like all hotels but once it can get back sufficient employees it shld start. It is getting old n out dated. Mattresses sag, wooden sliding doors at bathroom entrance stuck/limited sliding, washbasins cracked/patched, hot water not working well at all (we showered in luke warm water every day even tho we ran the hot water for more than 15 min!) n once my husband had to make do with only cold water! Maintenance came (after we returned fr a dnr at almost 10:40pm) n tried but cld not resolve, not even the next day… Bidet spray once was the cheap one like the R&R reststops but had previously used one with a handheld on/off control (shld be uniform sprays & not ad hoc). Drawers in the bedroom unit are stuck.. Carpets need changing.. rooms really need to be refreshed in appearance. Most bathroom scales don’t work. In the past we have stayed in both the Gardens Hotel as well as the Residences.. both properties need to be refurbished.. Gardens Hotel n Residences have prime locations n will do well again once everyone accepts Covid is endemic.
Limited concierge n front desk staff now which is very understandable at this time. Have been told the management is trying to employ back as fast as it can (sincerely wishing u all the luck u can get as it is v v difficult to re hire now) . I can see the front desk staff working v v long hrs. Shout out to Fish, very pleasant lady there who is most helpful n hardworking fr morning till v late at nite every day.

We always stay at the Gardens Residence when we go to Kuala Lumpur , 4 to 6 times a year. We find the staff very welcoming and accommodating, in fact they feel like family. We are always greeted with enthusiasm and warmth from the front door to the room staff. We cannot praise them highly enough, nothing is too much trouble, they are all keen to help you enjoy your stay by attending to your needs down to the smallest thing e.g. extra tissues, water, towels, sight seeing suggestions, local services etc.

The service is always of the highest standard. Their restaurants have great menus the food is always delicious and well presented.

The location of the Hotel and Residence building is perfect with the new addition of the Abdullah Hukum LRT station for travelling into KL Central, KLCC (the Towers). On the same line you can visit the Central Markets, Petaling street Markets, Masjid Jamek for Gold shops, fabric stores, clothing stores, markets and any number of interesting places. Perfect positioning.

It's a great place to stay, your comfort is their first priority.

This is the first time we booked one bedroom apartment. The location is super as it is connected to Gardens Mall. Since we have kids, it is very convenient to drop them back at the hotel when they are tired. Due to Covid, we are unable to enjoy the pool as it is closed for kids under 12 years old. However, it is compensated by the big bathtub in the room. Our room did not include breakfast so we make our own. It is very convenient because there’s a kitchenette provided. The room is clean and there’s a sticker to indicate the room has been sanitized before we check in, we opted no housekeeping for our entire stay due to Covid. The furniture however looks aged and carpet doesn’t feel very nice for our bare feet. We got the room at a very discounted rate, it is still acceptable for the value, I’m not quite sure it will be if the rates bounced back to the usual. In conclusion, it’s a good staycation for a small family like us.

was "Upgraded to residences" when i booked gardens hotel. the furnishing was old and i did not feel comfortable staying in the room. When i wanted to turn in for the night i realised that the bed sheet was filthy and there was hair on the duvet and even below the bed sheet. Complained to the manager and they try to compensate by giving free breakfast which was pretty lousy as well.

I actually stay in Puchong. But we cant resist going here as much as we can. It is our staycation spot for the past 10yrs. Never failed to carve a smile on us.

The place in terms of location is superb, just situation above a mall and a few groceries and eateries.

Gardens itself has upheld its standards for years. I am always here or Cititel(sister company) for staycation, both have proper standards which draws me in every time.

Yes, I have come across a few personnel issues, but these people never represent the brand, one I raise it as a feedback or a complain, it gets addressed and worked on immediately.

This time around I was at Gardens Residence. I went to Taiping after MCO lifted and decided to spend a day here before heading back home. The room is well sanitized, they will clean up the place and drop a note. I had some minor hiccups with check in and check out. I dropped a feedback, and the PIC, Mr. Khairul called me and understood the issue and looked at process improvements and also tried to get me to visit back as a recovery step to ensure I am committed to the brand. I am extremely happy they actually look at review and value customers.

I always try to get the unit with the kitchenette as the grocer shop is just connected to the hotel. An ideal setup with family and children. Even for people that want to hang out with their buddies and cook a meal for their friends, this is the spot to go to.

The downside to this place is the parking, so my tip would be to park at the lobby entrance, go check in and get your family to their room, the bags can be left at the side or the bellboy can help. Then you drive down to the car park further down and have some patience to find a spot. Normally I will park at any available spot being Mid Valley Parking and later at 9pm-9.30pm, I will head down to the car park again and repark the car just in front of the escalator entrance.

They have cashless option now for parking, so you can use TnG card for your car park, at the hotel reception, there is a visible TnG machine at the counter where u tag your TnG car and it will be a flat rate of RM5. Good thinking of them to create convenience.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 4 (2 young children). We chose this hotel as 2 bedroom service apartments were not too easy to come by especially near the festive season. The location was not too bad, being directly connected to MidValley and Gardens. However breakfast options (if not taking the hotel’s bfast) is a little lean before 9/10am which is when most of the shops and eateries in the mall opens. Parking is horrid and really difficult to find especially when arriving at peak times or during weekends. but thanks to previous reviewers who have given tips on the best areas to park with easiest access to the hotel.

The room itself is spacious and clean with a huge shower and bathtub which were all enclosed together in the master bedroom. This was a stroke of genius for us as this meant the kids could have a bath in the tub and have a little bit of a splash without worrying about making a wet mess to the rest of the bathroom. The hotel itself is showing its age and is in need of a bit of upgrade. The furniture is old and dark making the room/apt seem uninviting.

There is a kids playcentre in the gardens mall which the kids enjoyed. The ticket covers the entire day, which was great for us especially as it rained most of the time we were there.

Overall an ok stay. No major issues during our stay.

The Premier King room is comfortably big, especially the bathroom. For my family of 3, we had a comfortable stay. The walk-in vanity table next to the wardrobe is good for the ladies who may need more time at the mirror. Although the room fittings and furniture are dated, the room was reasonably clean but not thorough... on the first day, the housekeepers didn't empty our trash bins and some stains on the mirror and vanity table were left uncleaned for 2 consecutive days till I wiped them off myself). Its location was the main reason for us to stay... the hotel is connected to the Gardens Mall and Midvalley Megamall, we were spoilt for choices to shop and eat, we even watched a late night movie at GSC in the Megamall and just walked back to our hotel room conveniently. Not forgetting to mention, there is less traffic congestion in this area than the city centre so booking a Grab car from/to the hotel was always easy! Their staff was also friendly and responsive to their guests' requests. Breakfast served an interesting variety of dishes too and tasted good. The room rates were on the high side, not sure if it was due to the festive season...

I stayed at the residence part of the Gardens. The rooms are OK, but not the newest anymore. Rooms are in dark colors, walls, furniture, and the like, with colors ranging from brown to dark brown to black. So not the new modern designs with light colors. Kitchen area was there but very limited items. All in the room worked fine and appeared well maintained. The laundry area on our floor, from the 2 washing machines and dryers only 1 each worked, the others were broken. Swimming pool was OK, well maintained and the water quality was checked daily every morning. The towel management was a bit strange, sometimes there but most of the time not.
The place is easily accessible, and the Grab pick up & drop area is right in front of the entrance. Check in & out worked fine, staff was very friendly. Although in its age, its still recommendable

I’m had an opportunity to stay at The Gardens Mall Hotel executive suite last week. It was a truly amazing experience!
The service provided was great and the staff were so friendly and professional. I had a great time having my breakfast and lunch at their main restaurant, The Spread. They provide a wide variety of food and I couldn’t stop myself from eating! Besides, the dinner menu at Ri-Yakitori was simply amazing, especially the wagyu beef. The chef was attentive to details and elevated my whole dining experience there to a new level. The facilities were also beautiful and I love the 24-hour gym!

We have been a regular guest at your hotel for the past five years or more and have been quite pleased with the room accommodation and services. However, we were completely put off by the reservation services during our recent 6N/7D stay.
My husband was due for an operation on Monday morning and so we arrived on Sunday late afternoon to check in. We have fully paid for our stay via agoda.
Unfortunately we were told by the check-in counter staff that our 1st two days stay was cancelled which was most distressing as the next morning was my husband's eye operation.
We showed proof of booking ID and confirmation of full payment made and even called your reservation services but was told we have to contact Agoda. Shouldn'nt that be your hotel's responsibility? Anyway we did write to Agoda and Agoda confirmed again by sending us our confirmation booking but that was again rejected by your reservation who insisted they received from Agoda a cancellation notice.
Fortunately your staff, Miss Reen and En Khairul were most patient and placed a room on hold for us to sort out the matter. Being a VIP agoda member, we have not encountered such a terrible situation. in the end, we had to make separate payment to secure the room. If not for the kind understanding of Reen, we would have been left in a lurch without luggage and medical supply and no room to settle into for an operation the next morning.
It took your hotel 3 full days to finally send us a note through our room door (eventhough I was inside) which was rather impersonal. A knock on the door or a personal phone call apologising for the error done by the reservation staff would be so much more personal.
We hope your reservation services will be improved to avoid this will from happening again!
