We stayed here on a tour to Osaka arranged by business partners. It's an old property but very well maintained. There is a sense of old world luxe about it. Large lobby ideal for large group arrivals. The rooms were western in size. The breakfast buffet was amazing, one of the best I've had in a hotel! It's far from the city center and the shuttle going there was always full, so we took taxis instead.

Big old, tired tour bus style hotel. Priced accordingly. Executive lounge was chincy. They give IHG Diamond Elite members a small salad with shavings of cheese and ham with an alcohol or non-alcohol beverage during two hours in the evening, while other non-IHG guest are treated to a very nice, sumptuous, spread. If they insist on discriminating against IHG Diamond members they should just put us in another walled off part of the lounge because it is silly, demeaning and quite humbling to be told you can't have what the other person sitting next to you receives.

Let me begin by saying the hotel needs some renovation, but is nice. The lobby is so I inviting . They just don’t get it ! Huge lobby and nice , but if you want to sit relax they expect you to sit on uncomfortable dining chairs that are literary 6 inches apart . They have an area that has beautiful waterfall ? But is closed til 10:30 ! Really ! So they expect you to go back to your room with no coffee and I guess watch Japanese language TV. We also stayed at Sheraton American hotel. Setup was implant beautiful garden area totally open to guests all the time !!!’ I would personally avoid the hotel to much competition that is accommodating !! By the way other then a few shops in “ basement “ nothing else near by Stay away

このホテルはIHG加盟ホテルなのに今まで泊まったIHGホテルの中で1番印象がよくなかった。私たちはIHG Diamond 会員なんですが、サービスが本当によくなかったです。ラウンジは19:30までしか使えないと言われたし、サービスが他のお客様と全然違いました。このサービス差別の理由を聞いたら「貴方たちは23F以上の階に泊まってないから提供できるサービスがほかのお客様と異なりますそ、ラウンジは19:30までしか使えない』と言われました。また23F受付担当の村上さんの接客レベルに驚きました。再度お客様に対するおもてなしなどの研修を受けさせたほうがよいです。また廊下にゴキブリもみました！もう二度とこのホテルに泊まりません！ We are IHG Diamond elite members and we received very unprofessional and rude service from this hotel. We had a lounge pass and were discriminated because we were “not staying on the premium floors” and were kicked out of the lounge at 19:30 because of this. Shouldn’t this hotel be also be taking care of top tier repeater customers. Also the guy at the 23F reception was very rude to us and made some racial and rude laughs to us. Business Hotel and location not very good, breakfast average. Needs upgrade . I saw a few cockroaches running in the hallway. The carpets needed cleaning. The staff not very helpful on additional requests unlike other Japan hotels

I've been to Japan and Osaka several times. This time, I went Osaka for a conference, and the organizers booked this hotel for me; so I didn't have any prior information or expectations about this hotel prior to arrival. From the exterior, the hotel looked huge. It's about 5 minute taxi ride from Osaka Station and right across the street from the Nakanoshima metro station. There is a jogging trail that runs along the river which is very nice. A huge plus is that the hotel offers a free bus ride to and from Osaka Station (Not to be confused with Shin Osaka Station). The lobby of the hotel is grand. If it wasn't for the mid-century modern style it was originally designed in, I wouldn't have known the hotel opened in 1965. This place is immaculate and really well maintained. If you're looking something modern and contemporary, this place isn't for you. Check in was quick. My room was cozy. Like most other Japanese hotels, the room is on the smaller side (compared to US standards). They offered a free water bottle. The internet was free and quick. The bathroom was updated and had ample hot water. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I would say it was probably the best I've had in Japan. I've had bigger breakfast buffets, but the food quality was top notch. However I would say the curry and coffee they offered was so-so. The staff was great. There was even a native English speaker who was working as a concierge. The neighborhood isn't bustling or in the middle of everything, but they offer a bus to Osaka Station and there's a metro station right across the street. Paid for the room with a king size bed and on the higher floor. The view was great from the room and well worth the extra money. Hotel is right above Keisan rail line and you can take it to the Osaka loop to catch a JR line. Overall good location and good hotel.

Natural Comfort floor is well worth the upgrade. The huge bed and large rooms are great for relaxing although they do feel a little outdated in terms of decor. You get a hamper of supplies in the bathroom which even include bath salts and skincare. Access to the lounge with coffee/drinks and snacks is great. HOWEVER the walls are THIN I got no sleep the first night due to a child crying most of the night. I did speak to the manager at reception the next day and they offered to move me to another room but I had so much luggage I didn't want to repack everything to move. Instead I purchased some earplugs at the seveneleven. The shuttle bus is really useful for getting into the centre of Osaka but it doesn't start very early in the morning which meant I ended up getting a taxi each morning. But had the shuttle bus back. I also arranged for the shuttle bus to Universal Studios which was helpful. However I wish I had just got the train as the shuttle bus meant I didn't get into the park until 9am when a friend of mine was at the park the same day and was inside by 07.30am. Breakfast is available in the all day restaurant. It seems pricey but the breakfast offered is fantastic and the restaurant has a great vibe. On the first afternoon I arrived too early for check in. So I left my luggage at the front desk and had ice coffee and cake in the lobby cafe beside the waterfall. It's a fabulous cafe and the service is impeccable. One evening I had an early dinner in the Chinese restaurant. It wasn't the best for the price but the views over Osaka are great. I tried to have dinner in some of the other restaurants on other evenings but I couldn't get a table anywhere that had an English menu outside. Natural Comfort floor guests have free access to the swimming center. However when I tried to book in the men at reception gave me a lot of rules and started pointing at a map the different instructions for different areas. I decided to give up because I didn't understand all the instructions and the men were not so friendly I didn't want to ask again. …

Very high class hotel. So so very very nice for the price. Multiple restaurants, bars, shops, karaoke, you name it - its there. We regret not spending much time in the actual hotel though - we were too busy sightseeing or catching up with friends at the nearby Osaka Station connected malls and complexes. IMPORTANT: There is a free shuttle that runs from Osaka station to the hotel and runs from 7am till 10 (? dont quote me on that) at night We didnt realise it ran that late and likely could have caught it home one night instead of walking to the hotel in the rain. You can use this to go to and from the Hotel to the station so it is VERY handy. Particularly since the closest station - Nankoshima - which is connected to the hotel underground - is not on a JR line.

The rooms were large and clean but very dated and the air con wasn’t working so we were always too hot! Our trip was in April so wouldn’t cope in the height of summer. The hotel entrance is impressive but this isn’t reflected in the rooms. Breakfast options weren’t great compared to other hotels we have stayed in and staff weren’t that helpful when we were trying to enquire about laundry facilities. Quite far out of the main attractions of Ōsaka but there is a free shuttle to JR Ōsaka which is helpful and the saving grace of the hotel!
