I stayed here for two nights before and after a family member's wedding.

The room was larger than I expected, in an executive twin room with a lounge, and was very convenient. It had a double sink, and the bathroom and bathtub were spacious (as expected of a foreign company).

The Basque cheesecake I had for afternoon tea in the lounge was delicious. During cocktail time from 6 p.m., cold hors d'oeuvres were served, and hot meals were also available, so it was a substitute for dinner.

Breakfast was at the buffet on the first floor, but it was crowded as it was Golden Week, and there was a line from 7 a.m. onwards. There were many families, so it was difficult to relax, so the next day I had room service in my room. The Amadeus has high ceilings, and the atmosphere is nice with a view of the garden outside. After dinner, you can take a walk in the garden and soak up the negative ions. There were also carp.

The wedding had a homey feel and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful time.

I went to the lounge on the second day and the menu was the same, so I ordered room service in my room, which was delicious. There were many inbound tourists. (It would be nice if they served breakfast in the lounge)

I also used the beauty salon on the 8th floor, and it seems that my body was really stiff, but I was able to feel refreshed thanks to the treatment.

All the staff were very friendly. There were a lot of young people, but everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out, and I was also happy to hear the words "Congratulations" when we stayed here for a wedding. Thank you☆

Some things in the hotel room may look a little old-fashioned, but don't let that give you a bad impression. The bed was super comfortable to sleep in, and they even provided a lavender oil to apply on your wrists that could help you sleep better. They had many hotel amenities and even a humidifier. Their charge ports were great too. The location was quite convenient as there was a pathway to the train station only about 7 minutes away from walking.

This hotel is really lovely with HUGE rooms compared to the other Japanese hotels I stayed in. They offer a lovely space to relax and unwind with great views (mine was of the nearby Sky Tree building). The breakfast was nice with a chef available to cook up egg based dishes. The staff were lovely and even sent some treats to my room as it was my birthday. The bathroom is gorgeous with good quality toiletries. I tried out the Teppanyaki dinner in the Japanese restaurant which was delicious. On the downside, It has been commented on already, but they charge extra to use the pool facilities. I understand that this is because it is run by a different company. It isn't much - maybe 12 or 13 euro but given the price of the room, I would suggest including it in the room rate. It feels a bit off to charge for something that most people expect to be included as part of a high end hotel stay.

Stayed here for two nights in a "newly renovated" room. Aside from the location there was very little to get excited about at this property. The place is extremely tired and dated. Yes they are starting to update their rooms but we very unimpressed with the quality of the remodel. It seems they are opting for a refresh of key elements (carpet, wall coverings, drapes etc.). They haven't touched the bathrooms or replaced the doors. We saw lots of chipped paint, scuffs in our room. The design elements are not great either...the carpets are hideous. There was an overwhelming smell in the room throughout our stay from the new carpet and paint. A major downside.

The club lounge was also very poor in comparison to the Conrad across town. Their afternoon tea was very solid but the evening offerings were kind of a joke. Saucepans of over-salted, cafeteria-style slop like pasta and potatoes. No cheese or usual nibbles.

Breakfast was served in the lobby area. It seemed extremely busy and chaotic. The options were limited and did not vary between the two days.

The gym, pool and health area are in desperate need of a makeover both in terms of the fit and finish and the prices. Charging hotel guests a lot of money to swim seems crazy to me.

I have zero plans to ever return to this hotel unless they truly commit to a proper overhaul. This is a shame because the staff seemed so friendly and helpful

I stayed here for the first time in more than ten years.
"The first regret was that I made a Reservation by going into the app ""Start the day with a luxurious breakfast stay"" and was told at check-in that it was not applicable for points spent."

I was also developing software, but in such cases you should warn them on the way or prevent Reservations.
Breakfast was offered without Reservation, but without any time, I enquired by extension the next morning.

Again, the guidance said, "It's until 10:30," so I thought this was strange, and I said, "Last order is 10:30, isn't it?" When I asked, "No, I'll start cleaning up at 10:30," I felt that employee education was not done properly.

The next thing I was surprised by was the “Matsushita Electric” bidet, which had only a 32-inch TV and an analog remote control. That means I'm still using my pre-2011 TV, and I've been using my bidet for 20-odd years.

The shower also came with a cheap water-saving mold, so I felt cold because hot water did not come easily, and I felt uncomfortable because the amount of hot water did not flow easily with the foam of shampoo and body soap.

The Stella Maris signboard, which I used to eat a lot, was still there, but I thought this was not cool because I could see the mud inside.

The cleaning is done well and I thought many of the staff were excellent, but there are some staff who can't give attention or can't call you without the staff turning to each other in private (Japanese food) at the dining room, so 5☆ I should give you the hotel name. At most, it's 4, or 3 if you're just staying.

We view Westin as a high-end hotel where we pay a premium for a high-end personalized experience. This is especially important to us in Japan as we wanted a bit more hand-holding and assistance. While we make every effort to immerse ourselves in the city and culture, we need assistance where the language barrier makes getting around difficult. we had stayed in the westin in Kyoto a couple of weeks earlier and it was excellent — wonderful concierge, clear English explanations and a shuttle that took us to the train station and a couple of other key places. Because of how good the Westin in Kyoto was, we chose to cancel reservations elsewhere and stay in this Westin in Osaka. We were disappointed. To begin with, this hotel did nothing to assist us. We asked for a concierge and got someone who was wonderfully personable and keen to assist but could not get past the language barrier to be of assistance. The shuttle will take you to the umeda station but it is a gargantuan complicated station and there are no instructions telling us how to get anywhere from the drop off point, and it is so far from the airport bus you are better off walking from the hotel (which we generally found was quicker anyway). In other respects, the hotel Was also disappointing. The restaurants appeared mediocre and highly overpriced, as far as we could tell, though it was hard to tell as there were no clear English menus of what’s available. The Kyoto Westin restaurants were worlds better, with clear English menus up front, much more reasonable prices and excellent food, which we sampled multiple times. Also downright insulting was the charge for the pool. Something we did not encounter in Kyoto or, for that matter, in any high-end hotel anywhere else. The room was nice, but underwhelming for the price point. There are literally dozens of similar hotels nearby. Off our experience and a review of prices for equivalent hotels, I would go elsewhere.

This hotel is very outdated and does not live up to the standards of a Westin. Everything about the hotel is old, the carpet, the furniture, the miniature sized TV, the bathroom and the smell of the hallway. There is no room service before 12pm so if you want breakfast you either need to go to the one option in the hotel lobby or outside. If you want food the only options for dinner after 6pm are a Chinese or Japanese restaurant. The western style restaurant closes at 6pm along with the Lounge bar. In addition the shuttle service only runs from 10am to 6pm. Finally I came here on business and booked a corporate rate and was harassed at check in to provide proof of my employment (a business card which my company no longer issues, again outdated) so ensure you bring some sort of proof with you if you want to ensure your corporate rate for your stay. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here, there must be many other higher end options in Osaka for the price.

As some have mentioned this hotel is located away from the main city centre action, behind the hotel is predominantly an industrial area and in front its currently a large construction site.
The hotel is a little dated but that didn't detract from our stay.
Room on the 18th floor was large, very comfortable large bed, and breakfast was enjoyable with a large selection from the buffet area.
Staff were attentive and keen to assist.
We did find it a little unusual for a higher quality hotel to charge us for additional coffee sachets to be used in the room- other hotels in Japan didn't charge us for additional coffee.

A few notes:
1. We found it is further away from the Osaka airport - but the hotel does offer free shuttles from a subway station to their hotel
2. Once at the hotel - it is quite grand. Lots of space and guests can even feed the giant Koi fish outdoors at the hotel!
3. Rooms were spacious, more space than we had thought given hotel rooms in Asia typically are smaller in size
4. Very cost effective spa treatments
5. There are some restaurants / 7-11 / subway station close to the hotel, so we found that convenient once we settled into the hotel

We stayed here during December 2024. We had 2 rooms, adjoined. We booked a king room and an interconnecting room with 2 single beds for the kids. This hotel overall is great and is in a good location. It’s a short walk from one of the main shopping areas. It’s walking distance to restaurants and to the Christmas markets.

The rooms are very comfortable. The gym, while not large in any way, was adequate with new technogym equipment. The buffet breakfast was quite good with large variety and some gluten free items. Staff in the hotel are very helpful.

One minor complaint - the restaurants in the hotel close very early and after a day of touring, if you haven’t eaten, the room service menu is limited and also ends early. One would expect a 5 star hotel to have a 24 hr kitchen with some substantial items.
