The room itself was nice, small like usual Japanese hotels but enough for us.
Breakfast however was very average. The first day we had breakfast a member of staff gestured for us to sanitise our hands, no issue however then proceeded to not ask any Japanese customer to sanitise theirs. This improved on our subsequent visits however we found ourselves finding other things to eat outside of the hotel buffet after breakfast time.
A lot of the food was lukewarm, especially the bacon.
I'd stay here again, but possibly not partake in the breakfast in future.

Space is a concern. The walking space in a twin-sharing room, is as big as the aisle in the aircraft. That is just enough space for you to open up 1 hardcase luggage at one time.
Breakfast is provided in the hotel. 7am - 930am.
For first few days, it was still enjoyable. But there was limited variety and food is always the same.
Japanese food - miso soup, rice, some Japanese dishes etc.
Western food - hash brown, hard-boiled eggs, buns, salad etc.
Thus, when we checked in into the hotel the second time, we were getting sick of the breakfast.
It would be more enjoyable if you are having a short stay there.
Free wifi is not available in the room. Thus, every evening after dinner time, you will see guests sitting at the lobby using their handphones & laptops.
In terms of location, I agree with another tripadvisor member - the hotel is much nearer to Nakatsu subway, which is facing Ramada Hotel.
Nakatsu is 1 stop after Umeda station in central Osaka. From there, about 5mins walk to the hotel.
However, on the first day of arriving Osaka with our luggage/s, it was a hassle for us to get to the hotel.
We took the train from Kansai International Airport to JR Osaka station in Osaka central (the airport train does not go to Nakatsu subway station).
JR Osaka station and Umeda subway station are connected, via the mega-underground shopping mall. But it is a long & tedious walk, when you have big luggages. If you are a first-timer to Osaka, you feel like you are in a maze in the underground. You will need to follow the signs faithfully to get to Umeda subway station.
And in many Osaka subway stations, there are more steps than elevators. Limited number of escalators too.
When you finally get to Umeda subway station, Nakatsu is just 1 stop away. The hotel is a 5 mins walk away, behind Ramada Hotel.
On the return trip to Kansai International Airport, I decided to take the Airport Limousine Bus. Bus tickets can be purchased in advance, from the reception counter at Hankyu International Hotel, which is just 3mins walk from Hearton Kitaumeda. It is a much more convenient way to get to the airport.
* Please note, do not be confused with another hotel, Hankyu New Hotel. They are 2 different hotels.
* There are limited pick-up times at Hankyu International Hotel. Alternatively, you can lugged your luggages to Hankyu New Hotel, where the Airport Limousine Bus terminal is located. More options for pick-up time.
* This Bus, pick-up time @ 7.35am, travels from Hankyu International Hotel, to Hankyu New Hotel & Hilton Hotel, and then direct route to Terminal 1 & Terminal 2 in Kansai International Airport.
On other days when you do not have to lug your luggages around, Hearton Kitaumeda offers conveniences for you to find food & great shopping. It is a few minutes walk to a Hankyu Umeda station. From there, it is well-connected to Umeda subway station & JR Osaka station via the mega-underground shopping mall & Hankyu Department Mall.
If your budget permits, Hankyu International Hotel is much nearer to Hankyu Umeda station. Diagonally opposite the station.
The smaller room size isn't a big concern if you pack light and you're organised. We only took out what we needed and put it away when done with it. The bathroom was bigger than I expected, and was supplied with Shiseido products (bonus!). It's not a luxury hotel for stay-in relaxation away from home, you're meant to go out and explore. It is an excellent place to stay if you're on a budget and want a very clean and modern room, close to transit and near a lively neighbourhood. I would definitely stay there again.
Do print out the hotel's name and address in Japanese if you want to ask for directions.
If you're taking the train from the airport, please exit at the Midosuji exit. From there, it's about 20mins walk. If you're taking the airport limo bus, please stop at the Hotel New Hankyu in Umeda.
"Its a little hard to find so use MapQuest or Rome to Rio to help. For a quick meal there are a Family Mart and 7-11 just down the street."Read full review
